WASHER CYCLE DESCRIPTIONS
This information covers several different models. Your washer may vary from the model shown and may not have all the cycles and features described.
Water Level Control
Adjust to load size. Clothes should move freely. To change to a higher water level after agitating starts, you may turn knob to desired setting. On models with Variable Water Level Control, you should turn the knob to Reset, then to desired setting.
Water Temperature Control
You should select the wash/rinse water temperature based on the type of load you are washing. Always use the warmest wash water safe for the fabric and follow garment label instructions. Some models have AUTO TEMPERATURE CONTROL (ATC). ATC electronically senses and maintains a uniform water temperature by regulating the temperature of incoming hot and cold water.
On models without AUTO TEMPERATURE CONTROL (ATC) that do have a Warm/Warm temperature setting, the warm wash will be followed by an “Energy Saving” cold rinse followed by warm spray rinses. This saves energy while providing the same effective rinse performance.

Cycle Selector (Timer) Control
Permanent Press I
A load cooling spray rinse reduces wrinkling.
Permanent Press II
During the wash cycle, the timer reaches PAUSE, and the washer cools down the load by replacing some of the wash water with rinse water. This helps to reduce wrinkling.
Ultra Clean
You may select this cycle for most loads.
Prewash
Helps to remove heavy soils and stains that need pretreatment. This cycle should be followed by an Ultra Clean or Permanent Press cycle with additional detergent.
Automatic 2nd Rinse
Removes excess detergent residue. May be automatically added to the Ultra Clean or Permanent Press cycles. Set the OPTIONS Control to 2nd Rinse before you start the washer. You won’t have to come back later to select a second rinse.
Soak
Features agitation followed by unlimited soak time to help remove heavy soils and stains that need pretreatment. After the soaking has finished, you should reset the washer to a Spin setting to remove water. The Soak cycle should be followed by an Ultra Clean or Permanent Press cycle with additional detergent.
Rinse & Spin
May be used when an extra rinse is needed to remove additional detergent residue. Set WATER LEVEL Control, then WASH/RINSE TEMPERATURE Control. Set OPTIONS Control to One Rinse and set the SPEEDS Control. You should then set Cycle Selector (Timer) Control to a Rinse setting.
Spin Only
A drain and spin may help shorten drying times for some fabrics by removing excess water. Set OPTIONS Control to One Rinse and set the SPEEDS Control. You should then set Cycle Selector (Timer) Control to a Spin setting.
