WASHER CYCLE DESCRIPTIONS
This information covers several different models. Your washer may vary from the model shown and may not have all the cycles and features described.
Water Level Control
Water Temperature Control
You should select the wash/rinse water temperature based on the type of load you are washing. Always use the warmest water safe for fabric and follow garment label instructions.
On models with a Warm/Warm temperature setting, the warm wash will be followed by an “Energy Saving” cold rinse followed by warm spray rinses. This saves energy while providing the same rinse performance.
Cycle Selector (Timer) Control
You should select a wash cycle based on the soil level and type of fabric in your wash load.

Permanent Press I
Get up to 10 minutes of wash time. When the timer reaches Pause, the washer cools down the load by replacing some of the wash water with rinse water. This helps to reduce wrinkling.
Heavy Duty
Use this cycle to get up to 14 minutes of wash time. You may select this cycle for most loads.
Prewash
Helps to remove heavy soils and stains that need pretreatment. This cycle should be followed by a Heavy Duty, Normal or Permanent Press I cycle with additional detergent.

Soak
Manual Rinse & Spin
Features agitation followed by unlimited soak time to help remove heavy soils and stains that need pretreatment. After the soaking has finished, you should reset the washer to a Spin setting to remove water. The Soak cycle should be followed by an Ultra Clean or Permanent Press cycle with additional detergent.
Automatic 2nd Rinse
Removes excess detergent residue. May be automatically added to the Heavy Duty cycle by setting the RINSE OPTIONS Control to 2nd Rinse before you start the washer. You won’t have to come back later to select a second rinse.
May be used when an extra rinse is needed to remove additional detergent residue. Set WATER LEVEL Control, then WATER TEMPERATURE Control. Set RINSE OPTIONS Control (if available) to One Rinse. You should then set Cycle Selector (Timer) Control to a Rinse setting.
Spin Only
A drain and spin may help shorten drying times for some fabrics by removing excess water. Set RINSE OPTIONS Control (if available) to One Rinse. You should then set Cycle Selector (Timer) Control to a Spin setting.
