The Keeler Fibrelite 200 watt
Illuminator/ Fibrelite cable
Thank you for purchasing the Keeler Fibrelite. This compact and powerful light
source will provide many years of quality service. The Keeler Fibrelite features
include a powerful 200-watt quartz halogen lamp; a composite filter; and a
thermostatically controlled fan to minimise the risk of overheating. It has been
designed to be combined with the Keeler Fibrelite fibre-optic cable. Many
protective features have been built in to the design of your fibre optic cable;
however, care must still be taken when handling it. Do not bend your cable in half
or exert excessive pressure or strain on your cable as this may result in damage
to the fibres and decreased illumination intensity.
IMPORTANT- PLEASE READ BEFORE USE
♦ Please inspect your Keeler Fibrelite upon receipt to ensure that no damage
has resulted in shipment and that all necessary parts are included.
♦ Before any changes are made to the voltage, power supply or lamp
replacement on your Fibrelite, it should be disconnected from the mains.
♦ The lamp is extremely hot when in operation. Ensure you read the instructions
fully before changing the lamp.
♦ The Keeler Fibrelite is not suitable to be used in the presence of flammable
anaesthetics.
♦ Your Light source should be kept free of any dust or dirt. The space around
the unit should be free of any blockages or obstructions.
♦ Care should be taken when using fibre optic cables as the fibres can easily
break if heavy weight is placed on them or they are stretched.
♦ If any malfunction occurs (other than a burnt out lamp or fuse) please contact
Keeler Ltd or your nearest authorised distributor.
♦ The Keeler Fibrelite is a Class 1 medical device.
