Whereyoumountyour lights is extremely important, as well asaiming the units.
Too high and they will bounce right back at you and you’ll be trying to look
throughthe beam instead of downthe road. Toolowand they’ll skim across the
rocks on theroadway and notilluminate correctly whereyou are trying to see.

4.AIMINGYOUR LIGHTS
Proper aiming of your auxiliary lights is important. This procedure is
accomplished by aiming your wide beam driving lights in relation to your
properlyaimedheadlights.
1. Place your vehicle approximately 25 feet and perpendicular to a flat
surfacesuchasa garage door or a building. Itis important that thevehicle be on
levelground.
2. With low beam headlights on,go overto thesurface on which they are
shining and mark the vertical center on both left and right headlights with
somethingeasily removablelike maskingtape. Youmay useashortpiece oftape
toindicate verticalcenterand alongerpiece to showthehorizontal portion.Your
tapeshouldappearas below.
Use This Diagram For Aiming Your Lights
Left Low Beam Right Low Beam
Your wide beam lights should be aimed so that the top cut-off is on or
below your horizontal lowbeam wall marks.
3. Your WIDE BEAM lights are meant to increase side to side illumination
andshould be aimed similartofoglights. Using the diagram above, keepthetop
cutoff onorbelow thelowbeammarksonthewall.Thesideto sideadjustmentis
up to you. Toomuch center overlap of the beams will increase the light in the
center and reduce overall width.A slight center overlap willincrease your side
lightingandgivegoodeven coverageoverall.
