Introduction
This guide provides an overall reference on the KAREL OP48 Console & its handsfree version, KAREL OP48-H Console. This guide is prepared with the assumption that the OP48(-H) user is familiar with the Easy To Use Owners Guide of the telephone system.

1. Busy Display Panel
The Busy Display Panel shows the status of the extensions, lines and some of the system fea­tures by means of their corresponding LEDs (Red lamps). The extension LEDs display the last 2 digits of the physical numbers of the extensions (even if the extension numbers are changed by Flexible Numbering facility).

Extension Status (LEDs 11-50)
ON : The extension is busy. OFF : The extension is idle. BLINKING (slow) : The extension phone is ringing. BLINKING (fast) : The extension is calling the operator.
Line Status (LEDs 01-12)
ON : The line is busy. OFF : The line is idle. BLINKING (slow) : There is a call coming from the line. BLINKING (fast) : A call is parked on the line.

2. 8- Character Display
The 8-Character Display shows:  The time when the console is idle,  The numbers as they are dialed,  The calling line or extension number when the console is ringing, and,  Certain characters (listed below) to indicate the current state of the console or call activation. t: You are talking to an extension or line. r: There is a recall from the line. Au: Activated Auto-Dial is realized. Cb: Activated Call Back is realized. Fo: The extension you are calling has activated Follow Me. Pb: The next extension in the PBX Group of the called extension is ringing. Er: Erroneous operation. Lb: There is a problem in the communication between the system and the console. (*) tE: There is a problem in the communication between the system and the console. (*)
