Sicherheitshinweise
1. Bedienungsanleitung lesen – Lesen Sie die Bedienungsanleitung aufmerksam, um sich mit der
Bedienung des Gerätes vertraut zu machen.
2. Bedienungsanleitung aufbewahren – Bewahren Sie die Bedienungsanleitung sorgfältig auf.
3. Hinweise beachten – Beachten Sie alle Hinweise und Anweisungen in der Bedienungsanlei-
tung.
4. Wasser und Feuchtigkeit – Das Gerät darf nicht in der Nähe von Wasser (z. B. einer Badewanne, einem Waschbecken, einem Schwimmbecken, etc.) oder an feuchten Orten, bzw. in
tropischem Klima verwendet werden. Stellen Sie keine mit Flüssigkeiten befüllten Objekte oder
Gefäße (z. B. Vasen) auf das Gerät. Setzen Sie das Gerät weder Tropf- noch Spritzwasser aus.
5. Aufstellung – Das Gerät darf nur auf einer stabilen, ebenen Oberäche aufgestellt werden. Plat-
zieren Sie das Gerät so, dass es keinen Erschütterungen ausgesetzt werden kann.
6. Wandmontage – Eine Wand- oder Deckenmontage darf nur dann erfolgen, wenn das Gerät
dafür vorgesehen ist.
7. Belüftung – Stellen Sie das Gerät immer so auf, dass die Lüftungsöffnungen nicht blockiert oder
verdeckt (z. B. von einem Vorhang, einer Decke, einer Zeitung, etc.) werden. Das Gerät darf z.
B. nicht auf einem Bett, Sofa, Teppich, etc. aufgestellt werden. Für eine ausreichende Belüftung
sollte ein Freiraum von mindestens 5 cm um das Gerät herum eingehalten werden.
8. Hitze – Das Gerät darf nicht in die Nähe von Hitzequellen, wie z. B. einer Heizung, einem Herd
oder anderen Geräten gelangen.
9. Stromversorgung – Das Gerät darf nur mit der auf der Geräterückseite angegebenen Spannung betrieben werden.
10. Kabel & Stecker – Das Netzkabel und der Netzstecker müssen immer in einwandfreiem Zustand
sein. Der Netzstecker muss jederzeit erreichbar sein, um das Gerät vom Netz trennen zu können.
Sämtliche Kabel sollten immer so ausgelegt werden, dass diese keine Stolperfalle darstellen und
nicht beschädigt werden können. Stellen Sie keine Objekte auf Kabel. Wandsteckdosen, V erlängerungskabel und Mehrfachsteckerleisten dürfen niemals überbelegt werden.
11. Reinigung – Reinigen Sie das Gerät ausschließlich mit einem trockenen, weichen und sauberen
Tuch. Verwenden Sie niemals chemische Reinigungsmittel. Ziehen Sie vor dem Reinigen den
Netzstecker.
12. Nichtverwendung – Wenn Sie das Gerät für längere Zeit nicht verwenden, ziehen Sie den
Netzstecker.
13. Eintritt von Objekten oder Flüssigkeiten – Es dürfen keine Objekte in das Gehäuse des Gerätes gelangen. Das Gerät darf niemals in Kontakt mit irgendwelchen Flüssigkeiten gelangen.
14. Wann Sie eine Servicestelle aufsuchen sollten – Ziehen Sie umgehend den Netzstecker und
suchen Sie eine qualizierte Servicestelle auf, wenn einer der folgenden Ereignisse eintritt:
a) Wenn der Netzstecker oder das Netzkabel beschädigt ist.
b) Wenn Objekte in das Gehäuse eingedrungen sind oder das Gerät in Kontakt mit einer Flüs-
sigkeit war.
c) Wenn das Gerät nicht ordnungsgemäß funktioniert. Nehmen Sie selbst nur solche Einstel-
lungen vor, die in dieser Bedienungsanleitung erklärt werden.
d) Wenn das Gerät heruntergefallen ist oder in sonstiger Weise einer Erschütterung ausge-

Einstellen einer sicheren Lautstärke
• Beim ständigen Hören lauter Musik gewöhnt sich Ihr Gehör daran und lässt die Lautstärke gerin-
ger erscheinen.
• Was normal erscheint, kann schon lange zu laut und gesundheitsschädlich sein.
• Stellen Sie zu Ihrer eigenen Sicherheit die Lautstärke niedrig ein.
• Erhöhen Sie die Lautstärke langsam.
• Die Hörschäden können weitreichend und nicht heilbar sein.
• Wenden Sie sich bei Hörproblemen bitte unverzüglich an Ihren Hausarzt.
Kondensation
• Beim Umsetzen des Geräts von einer kalten in eine warme Umgebung kann es zu Kondensati-
onsbildung kommen. In diesem Fall sind Fehlfunktionen nicht auszuschließen. Schalten Sie das
Gerät nicht ein und benutzen es für etwa 1 Stunde nicht, bis es ausgetrocknet ist.
Energie sparen
• Bei längerer Nichtbenutzung den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose ziehen.
• Wenn im USB-Modus 15 Minuten lang keine Wiedergabe stattndet und keine Taste gedrückt
wird, schaltet sich das Gerät automatisch in den Standby-Modus. Um das Gerät wieder einzuschalten, drücken Sie die Taste Power.
Auspacken
• Nehmen Sie Ihr Gerät vorsichtig aus der Verpackung. Sie sollten die Verpackung zur weiteren
Verwendung aufheben.
• Entfernen Sie vorsichtig etwaige Schutzkartons und Schutzfolien.

1. Um die Bohrlöcher an der Schrankunterseite korrekt zu markieren, halten Sie die Montageplatte
an die gewünschte Stelle, an der das Radio angebracht werden soll und markieren Sie diese an
den 4 Schraublöchern mit einem Bleistift.
2. Bohren Sie vorsichtig 4 Löcher entsprechend der Größe der Schrauben an den markierten
Stellen.
3. Befestigen Sie die Montageplatte auf der Unterseite des Küchenschrankes anhand der 4 mitge-
lieferten Schrauben. Versichern Sie sich, dass die Befestigungshaken nach vorne zeigen.
4. Stecken Sie das Radio auf die Montageplatte.

• Sollten Sie sich bei der Montage unsicher sein, nehmen Sie einen Fachmann zu Hilfe.

Stromversorgung
• Stecken Sie den Netzstecker in eine haushaltsübliche Steckdose.
• Versichern Sie sich, dass die Ausgangsspannung mit der auf dem Gerät angegebenen Spannung
übereinstimmt.
Batterie-Backup-Funktion
Dieses Gerät verfügt über eine Batterie-Backup-Funktion, wodurch im Falle eines Stromausfalls die
Uhrzeit gespeichert bleibt (Wecker und gespeicherte Radiosender bleiben auch ohne Batterien im
internen Speicher gespeichert). Setzen Sie hierzu 2 Batterien (nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten) der
Größe AAA in das Batteriefach ein. Achten Sie auf die richtige Polung (+ und -).
Während eines Stromausfalls wird die Uhrzeit zwar nicht angezeigt, aber gespeichert, damit diese
nicht wieder neu eingestellt werden muss.
Hinweise:
• Beachten Sie die Sicherheitshinweise auf Seite 4.
• Wenn das Gerät längere Zeit nicht verwendet wird, sollten die Batterien herausgenommen wer-
den.
Grundfunktionen
Ein- & Ausschalten des Gerätes (Standby-Modus)
1. Versorgen Sie das Gerät mit Strom wie oben beschrieben. Das Gerät bendet sich nun im
Standby-Modus.
2. Um das Gerät einzuschalten, drücken Sie die Taste
Power. Das Gerät startet im zuletzt einge-

stellten Modus.
3. Um das Gerät auszuschalten (Standby-Modus), drücken Sie die Taste Power.
Funktionsauswahl
• Um zwischen den Modi DAB+, FM und USB zu wählen, drücken Sie wiederholt die Taste
Source am Gerät oder auf der Fernbedienung.
Lautstärkeregelung
• Um die Lautstärke zu erhöhen, drücken Sie die Taste Volume + am Gerät oder auf der Fernbe-
dienung.
• Um die Lautstärke zu verringern, drücken Sie die Taste Volume - am Gerät oder auf der Fernbe-
dienung.
Stummschaltung (Mute)
• Um den Ton stummzuschalten, drücken Sie die Taste
nung. Drücken Sie die Taste erneut, um den Ton wieder einzuschalten.
Dynamic Bass Boost (DBB)
• Diese Funktion erhöht die Bassleistung ein wenig. Drücken Sie die Taste DBB am Gerät oder auf
der Fernbedienung, um die Funktion zu aktivieren/deaktivieren.
Equalizer (EQ)
• Dieses Gerät verfügt über 5 Equalizer-Voreinstellungen (Normal, Pop, Jazz, Rock, Classic).
• Um zwischen diesen zu wählen, drücken Sie wiederholt die Taste EQ auf der Fernbedienung.
Display-Dimmer
• Die Helligkeit des Displays kann in 3 Stufen verändert werden (hoch, mittel, aus).
• Um zwischen diesen Stufen auszuwählen, drücken Sie wiederholt die Taste Dimmer am Gerät
oder halten die Taste Dimmer auf der Fernbedienung 2 Sekunden lang gedrückt.
• Wenn das Gerät in den Standby-Modus geschaltet wird, geht die Hintergrundbeleuchtung aus.
Diese kann aber auch im Standby-Modus wie zuvor beschrieben eingestellt werden.
Mute am Gerät oder auf der Fernbedie-
Display-Modi
• Drücken Sie die Taste Display auf der Fernbedienung im USB-Wiedergabe-Modus, um unter-
schiedliche Informationen (z. B. Uhrzeit oder ID3-Tags, sofern die Dateien auf dem USB-Gerät
hierüber verfügen) anzuzeigen.
• Drücken Sie die Taste Display auf der Fernbedinung im Radio-Modus (DAB+ oder UKW), um
verschiedene Infos anzuzeigen (z. B. Datum, Senderinformationen).
Erstinstallation
Wenn Sie das Gerät zum ersten Mal einschalten, startet dieses im DAB+-Modus und führt einen
automatischen Sendersuchlauf durch. Wenn der Sendersuchlauf abgeschlossen ist, wird der zuerst
gefundene Sender gespielt.
Uhrzeit und Datum synchronisieren sich automatisch mit dem DAB+-Signal, so dass eine manuelle
Einstellung nicht notwendig ist.

Standardmäßig ist die Uhr so eingestellt, dass diese sich automatisch mit dem Radiosignal synchronisiert (siehe „Erstinstallation“).

Wenn Sie die Uhrzeit trotzdem manuell einstellen wollen, können Sie dies folgendermaßen tun:
Uhrzeit manuell einstellen
Die Uhrzeit kann auf zwei Arten manuell eingestellt werden:
1. Während sich das Gerät im Standby-Modus bendet:
1. Drücken Sie die Taste Clock am Gerät, um in den Uhreinstellungsmodus zu gelangen. Die
Stunde blinkt nun. Stellen Sie anhand der Tasten Tuning / am Gerät die aktuelle Stunde
ein.
2. Drücken Sie erneut die Taste Clock. Die Minute blinkt nun. Stellen Sie anhand der Tasten
Tuning / am Gerät die aktuelle Minute ein.
3. Drücken Sie erneut die Taste Clock. Der Tag blinkt nun. Stellen Sie anhand der Tasten Tuning / am Gerät den aktuellen Tag ein.
4. Drücken Sie erneut die Taste Clock. Der Monat blinkt nun. Stellen Sie anhand der Tasten
Tuning / am Gerät den aktuellen Monat ein.
5. Drücken Sie erneut die Taste Clock. Das Jahr blinkt nun. Stellen Sie anhand der Tasten
Tuning / am Gerät das aktuelle Jahr ein.
6. Drücken Sie erneut die Taste Clock. Uhrzeit und Datum sind nun eingestellt und die Uhrzeit
wird angezeigt.
2. Innerhalb des DAB+-Menüs (siehe Abschnitt „DAB+-Radio“).
Wecker & Timer
Sie können 2 voneinander unabhängige Wecker einstellen. Es ist möglich, DAB+, UKW, USB oder
Buzzer als Weckton auszuwählen.
1. Halten Sie die Taste AL1 (oder AL2) am Gerät 2 Sekunden lang gedrückt. Die Stunde blinkt nun.
Stellen Sie anhand der Tasten Tuning / die gewünschte Stunde ein.
2. Drücken Sie die Taste AL1 (oder AL2) erneut (oder die Taste Play/Pause/Select auf der
Fernbedienung). Die Minute blinkt nun. Stellen Sie anhand der Tasten Tuning / die ge-
wünschte Minute ein.
3. Drücken Sie erneut die Taste AL1 (oder AL2). Die Weckdauer blinkt nun. Wählen Sie anhand der
Tasten Tuning / die gewünschte Weckdauer.
4. Drücken Sie erneut die Taste AL1 (oder AL2). Der Weckmodus blinkt nun. Wählen Sie anhand
der Tasten Tuning / den gewünschten Modus (DAB, FM, USB, Buzzer).
Wenn Sie „Buzzer“ oder „USB“ auswählen, geht die Einstellung mit dem Weckintervall weiter.
Wenn Sie „DAB“ oder „FM“ auswählen, können Sie nun einstellen, welcher Sender beim Weckruf
gespielt werden soll. Dies kann entweder der zuletzt gehörte Sender sein, oder einer Ihrer
gespeicherten Sender (die Möglichkeit, einen gespeicherten Sender zu verwenden, steht nur
dann zur Verfügung, wenn auch mindestens ein Sender gespeichert ist). Wählen Sie anhand der
Tasten Tuning / die gewünschte Einstellung.
5. Drücken Sie erneut die Taste AL1 (oder AL2). Das Weckintervall blinkt nun. Wählen Sie anhand
der Tasten Tuning / zwischen den folgenden Optionen:

An einem bestimmten Tag
An Wochenenden
An Wochentagen
Wenn Sie „an einem bestimmten Tag“ („Once“) auswählen, dann müssen Sie im nächsten Schritt
ein konkretes Datum eingeben, an welchem der Wecker ertönen soll.
6. Drücken Sie erneut die Taste AL1 (oder AL2). Die Weckerlautstärke blinkt nun. Stellen Sie anhand der T asten Tuning
/ die gewünschte Lautstärke ein. Wenn der Wecker ertönt, erhöht

sich die Lautstärke langsam bis zu der von Ihnen eingestellten.
7. Drücken Sie erneut die Taste AL1 (oder AL2) und stellen Sie den Wecker anhand der Tasten
Tuning / ein oder aus.
8. Drücken Sie erneut die Taste AL1 (oder AL2), um Ihre Einstellungen zu speichern. Der Wecker
ist nun eingestellt und ertönt zur eingestellten Uhrzeit. Im Display wird AL1 (oder AL2)
angezeigt.
Wecker aktivieren/deaktivieren
• Um einen Wecker zu deaktivieren oder einen zuvor eingestellten zu reaktivieren, drücken Sie im
Standby-Modus wiederholt die Taste AL1 (oder AL2). „On” bedeutet, dass der Wecker aktiv ist.
„Off” bedeutet, dass der Wecker nicht aktiv ist und nicht ertönen wird.
Nach ca. 10 Sekunden schaltet die Anzeige wieder zurück zur Uhrzeit.
Aktiven Wecker ausschalten
• Wenn der Wecker ertönt, drücken Sie die Taste Power, um diesen auszuschalten. Der Wecker
ertönt erneut zur eingestellten Uhrzeit am nächsten Tag (je nach Intervalleinstellung).
Snooze-Funktion
Die Snooze-Funktion ermöglicht es Ihnen, den Wecker um 9 Minuten zu verzögern. Um dies zu tun,
drücken Sie während der Wecker klingelt einmal die Taste Sleep am Gerät. Der Alarm stoppt und
ertönt nach 9 Minuten erneut.
Um die Snooze-Funktion abzubrechen, drücken Sie erneut die Taste AL1 (oder AL2, je nachdem,
welcher Wecker aktiv ist).
Countdown-Timer
Dieses Gerät verfügt über einen für das Kochen und Backen praktischen Countdown-Timer:
1. Während sich das Gerät im Standby-Modus bendet, drücken Sie die Taste

4. Die Anzeige springt zurück zur Uhrzeit und im Display wird das Symbol angezeigt. Sobald der
Timer abgelaufen ist, ertönt für ca. 1 Minute lang ein Buzzer.

automatisch abschaltet.
• Drücken Sie in einem beliebigen Wiedergabemodus wiederholt die Taste Sleep am Gerät oder
auf der Fernbedienung, um die gewünschte Zeit einzustellen, nach der sich das Gerät automatisch ausschaltet.
• Sie können zwischen 15, 30, 60 oder 90 Minuten wählen. „zZ“ wird im Display angezeigt.
• Um die verbleibende Zeit zu prüfen, drücken Sie einmal die Taste Sleep.
• Um die Funktion abzubrechen, drücken Sie wiederholt die Taste Sleep, bis „Sleep off“ im Display
angezeigt wird. Das Symbol „zZ“ erlischt aus dem Display.

Übertragung von Textinformationen, wie z. B. Sendername, Programm- oder Musikinformationen. Die
gesendeten RDS-Informationen können von Sender zu Sender unterschiedlich sein.
Um die verfügbaren Informationen anzuzeigen, drücken Sie wiederholt die Taste Display oder Menu/
INFO.
Hinweise:
• Nicht alle Sender übertragen RDS-Informationen. In einem solchen Fall zeigt das Gerät auch
keine Infos an.
• Gesendete RDS-Informationen können von Sender zu Sender unterschiedlich sein.
• Bei einem schwachen Signal kann es vorkommen, dass die Textinformationen nicht richtig oder
nicht vollständig angezeigt werden.
UKW-Menü

1. Stecken Sie einen USB-Stick in den USB-Anschluss am Gerät.

Source am Gerät oder die Taste USB auf der Fernbedienung drücken.
3. Der USB-Stick wird eingelesen und die Gesamtanzahl Alben und Titel wird angezeigt.
4. Drücken Sie die Taste Play/Pause/Select auf der Fernbedienung, um die Wiedergabe zu
starten.
5. Um die Wiedergabe zu pausieren, drücken Sie die Taste Play/Pause/Select einmal. Drücken
Sie die Taste erneut, um die Wiedergabe fortzusetzen.
6. Um die Wiedergabe zu beenden, drücken Sie die Taste Stop.
Schnellvorlauf/Schnellrücklauf & Titel überspringen
• Um an den Anfang des aktuellen Titels zu springen, drücken Sie die Taste Tuning einmal.
Drücken Sie die Taste ein zweites Mal, um zum vorherigen Titel zu springen.
• Um zum nächsten Titel zu springen, drücken Sie die Taste Tuning .
• Um beim aktuellen Titel einen Schnellvorlauf durchzuführen, halten Sie die Taste Tuning ge-
drückt. Wenn Sie die gewünschte Stelle im Titel erreichen, lassen Sie die Taste los und der Titel
wird wieder normal wiedergegeben.

• Um die Wiederholfunktion auszuschalten, drücken Sie wiederholt die Taste Repeat auf der
Fernbedienung, bis „Repeat Off“ im Display angezeigt wird.
Zufallswiedergabe
• Um alle Titel in zufälliger Reihenfolge abspielen zu lassen, drücken Sie während der Wiedergabe
die Taste Random auf der Fernbedienung. Im Display wird „SHUFFLE ON” angezeigt.
• Um die Zufallswiedergabe auszuschalten, drücken Sie erneut die Taste
Random.

Wiedergabereihenfolge festlegen
Sie können eine Reihenfolge von bis zu 20 Titeln festlegen, in welcher diese abgespielt werden sollen.
1. Drücken Sie im Stopp-Modus die Taste Prog. „F01”, „T001“ und „P01“ werden im Display blin-
kend angezeigt.
Wählen Sie anhand der Tasten / den Titel, der in der Reihenfolge zuerst abgespielt werden
soll.
Wenn das USB-Gerät über mehrere Ordner (Alben) verfügt, wählen Sie zunächst das Album
anhand der T asten Album▲/▼ auf der Fernbedienung (oder der Tasten Preset -/+ am Gerät)
gefolgt vom gewünschten Titel.
2. Drücken Sie erneut die Taste Prog. „P02” wird im Display angezeigt.
3. Wiederholen Sie die Schritte 2 - 3, um bis zu 20 Titel in Ihrer Reihenfolge zu speichern.
4. Drücken Sie die Taste Play/Pause, um die Wiedergabe der Reihenfolge zu starten.
5. Um die Wiedergabe zu beenden, drücken Sie die Taste Stop. Drücken Sie die Taste ein zwei-
tes Mal, um die Reihenfolge zu löschen.
ID3-Tags
Wenn die Dateien auf der eingelegten Disk über ID3-Tags verfügen (Interpret, Titel, Albumname),
können Sie diese anzeigen, indem Sie wiederholt die Taste Disp drücken.
Ladefunktion
Sie können ein Smartphone oder ähnliche, über USB auadbare Geräte über den USB-Anschluss an
diesem Gerät laden, indem Sie das Gerät einfach mit dem USB-Anschluss verbinden.
Hinweise:
• Ein USB-Stick muss stets direkt an den USB-Anschluss am Gerät angeschlossen werden. Die
Verwendung eines USB-Verlängerungskabels wird vom Gerät nicht unterstützt. Der USB-Anschluss des Gerätes kann nicht mit einem Computer kommunizieren.
• Die Einlesedauer eines USB-Speichersticks hängt von der Geschwindigkeit des Speichermedi-
ums und der darauf bendlichen Anzahl von Titeln/Verzeichnissen ab. In manchen Fällen kann
die Einlesedauer bis zu 60 Sekunden betragen.

Setting a safe volume level
• If you continually listen to loud music, your hearing gradually adapts to it and gives you the im-
pression that the volume is lower.

Condensation

Saving energy

• Connect the power cable into a suitable wall socket.
• Make sure that the output power of the wall outlet matches the required power of the unit.
Battery Backup Function
Two 1.5V “AAA” batteries (not included) can be installed as a backup option to maintain the time if
electrical power fails (alarms and stored radio stations remain in the internal memory without batteries). In the event of a power outage, the time will not appear on the display, however, the clock will
continue to operate and the actual time will be maintained. The clock display will resume once electrical power is restored if using the backup battery. The backup batteries should be replaced as needed.
Notes:
• Pay attention to the safety information on page 18.
• If the unit is not used for a longer period of time, batteries should be removed.
Basic Functions & Getting Started
Switching the Unit On & Off (Standby Mode)
1. Power the unit as described above. The unit is now in standby mode.

Dynamic Bass Boost (DBB)
• This feature enhances the bass performance. Press the DBB button on the remote control to
activate/de-activate this feature.
Equalizer (EQ)
• This unit is equipped with 5 different equalizer presets (Normal, Pop, Jazz, Rock, Classic).
• To select between these presets, repeatedly press the EQ button on the remote control.
Display Dimmer
• The display backlight can be adjusted in 3 levels (high, medium, off).
• To select between these levels, repeatedly press the Dimmer button on the unit, or press and
hold for 2 seconds the Dimmer button on the remote control.
• When the unit is switched into standby-mode, the display backlight will be switched off. In
standby-mode it can be set the same way as in on-mode.
Display Modes
• Press the Display button on the remote control repeatedly while in USB playback mode to show
different information (e.g. time or ID3 tags if those are contained in the les on the USB).
• Press the Display button on the remote control while in radio mode (DAB+ or FM) to display dif-
ferent information (e.g. date, broadcast info).

Initial Setup
When you switch the unit on for the rst time, it will start up in DAB+ mode and automatically scan for
available radio stations. After the full scan is nished, the unit will play the rst found station.
Time and date are synchronized automatically with the DAB+ signal, so the clock does not need to be
set manually.

Clock Synchronization
By default the clock is set to be synchronized automatically with radio signals (see “Initial Setup”).
If you would like to set the clock manually, you can do so as follows:
Manual Clock Setting
There are two ways to set the clock manually:
1. When the unit is in standby-mode:
1. Press the Clock button on the unit to enter the clock setting mode. The hour starts ashing.
Select the current hour using the buttons Tuning / on the unit.
2. Press the Clock button again. The minute starts ashing. Select the current minute using the
buttons Tuning / .
3. Press the Clock button again. The day starts ashing. Select the current day using the but-

4. Press the Clock button again. The month starts ashing. Select the desired month using the
buttons Tuning / .
5. Press the Clock button again. The year starts ashing. Select the current year using the buttons Tuning / .
6. Press the Clock button again. Time and date are now set and the time is being displayed.

Alarm & Timer Settings
This unit enables you to set 2 separate alarms. You can select to wake to DAB, FM, USB or buzzer.
1. Press and hold for 2 seconds the AL1 (or AL2) button on the unit. The hour will start ashing. Set
the desired hour by pressing the Tuning / buttons on the unit or the / buttons on the
remote control.
2. Press the AL1 (or AL2) button again (or the Play/Pause/Select button on the remote control).
The minutes will start ashing. Set the desired minutes by pressing the Tuning / buttons.
3. Press the AL1 (or AL2) button again. The alarm duration will start ashing. Set the desired alarm
duration by pressing the Tuning / buttons.
Press the AL1 (or AL2) button again. The source will start ashing. Set the desired source (DAB,
FM, USB, Buzzer) by pressing the Tuning / buttons.
If you select “Buzzer” or “USB”, the setting will continue with the alarm interval.
If you select “DAB” or “FM” you can select which station should be played for alarm. This can be
either the station last listened to, or one of your stored presets (the option of selecting a preset is
only shown when there are stations stored). Make your desired setting by pressing the Tuning
/ buttons.
4. Press the AL1 (or AL2) button again. The alarm interval will start ashing. By pressing the or
button select between the following options:

When you select “Once” you will be asked be asked to enter the specic date on which the alarm
should sound.

5. Press the AL1 (or AL2) button again. The alarm volume will start ashing. Set the desired volume
by pressing the Tuning

6. Press the AL1 (or AL2) button again to set the alarm on or off by pressing the Tuning /
buttons.
7. Press the AL1 (or AL2) button again to conrm your settings. The alarm is now set and will
sound at the set time. The AL1 (or AL2) symbol will be shown in the display.
Activating/Deactivating an Alarm
• To deactivate or reactivate a set alarm, press the AL1 (or AL2) button repeatedly while the unit is
in standby mode. “On” means the alarm is active. “Off” means the alarm is not active and will not
ring. After approximately 10 seconds the unit will switch back to the clock display.
Stopping an Active Alarm
• When the alarm is sounding, press the Power button to turn it off. The alarm will come on
again on the next day at the set time (depending on the set interval).

Snooze
The snooze function allows you to delay an active alarm for 9 minutes. To do so, press the Sleep button on the unit once while the alarm is active. The alarm will stop and come on again after 9 minutes.
The remaining snooze time will be shown in the display.
To cancel this function, press the AL1 (or AL2, depending upon which alarm is active) button once
again.
Countdown Timer
The unit has a countdown timer which is convenient for cooking and baking where timing is necessary:
1. While the unit is in standby mode press the

The sleep function enables you to set a timer after which the unit will turn itself into standby mode

set the desired time.
• You can select between 15, 30, 60 or 90 minutes. “zZ” will be shown in the display.
• To check how much time is left on the set timer, press the Sleep button once.
• To cancel the sleep function, press the Sleep button repeatedly until “Sleep off” appears in the
display. The “zZ” symbol will disappear from the display.

DAB+ Radio
1. Switch the unit on as described previously.
2. Select the DAB+ radio mode by pressing the

Instead of storing stations manually, they can also be stored automatically:
1. Press the Scan button on the remote control.
2. The unit will start an automatic search and store found stations consecutively in the presets (up
to 20).
Once the search is complete the rst found station will be played.
3. To recall a stored station press the Preset -/+ buttons on the unit or the Preset ▲/▼ buttons on
the remote control.
Notes:
• To rene the auto-scan you can set the unit inside the FM menu to search only for stations with
strong signal and to “force mono“ (see section “FM Menu“).
• Stations that may have been stored manually previously will be overwritten.
RDS (Radio Data System)
This product is equipped with an RDS decoder. RDS allows text information to be transmitted by a radio station together with the audio broadcast. This text information can include name of the radio station, name of the current program or song, news headlines, etc. and may vary from station to station.
To display different info contents, repeatedly press the Display or Menu/INFO button.
Notes:
• Not all radio stations transmit RDS information. In such cases the unit will not show any information.
• RDS information broadcast may vary from station to station.
• If the radio signal is weak, transmission of RDS information may be disturbed or not shown
properly.
FM Menu
1. To enter the FM menu, press and hold the Stop/Menu/Info button on the remote control for 2
seconds.
2. Navigate the menu by pressing the / buttons on the remote control and enter submenus or
conrm selections by pressing the Play/Pause/Select button on the remote control.
Inside the menu there are the following options:

When “Forced mono” is selected, all stations will be broadcast in mono mode. In
areas with weak signal, the broadcast quality may be improved by this.

2. Switch the unit on and select the USB mode by pressing the

4. Press the Play/Pause/Select button on the remote control to start playback.
5. To temporarily stop the playback (pause), press the Play/Pause/Select button once. Press
the button again to resume playback.
6. To stop playback, press the Stop button.
Fast Forward / Fast Rewind & Skipping Tracks
• To jump to the beginning of the currently playing track, press the Tuning button once. Press it
a second time to skip to the previous track.
• To skip to the next track, press the Tuning button once.
• To fast forward the currently playing track, press and hold the Tuning button. Once you reach
the desired section of the track, release the button to resume normal playback.
• To fast rewind the currently playing track, press and hold the Tuning button. Once you reach
the desired section of the track, release the button to resume normal playback.
• If the USB has several folders you can select those by pressing the Preset -/+ buttons.
Repeat Modes
At any time during playback press the Repeat button on the remote control repeatedly to select
between
• Repeat One - the current track will be repeated. The display will show “REP ONE”.
• Repeat Folder (if the USB contains folders) - the current folder will be repeated. The display will
show “REP FOLDER”.
• Repeat All - All tracks on the USB will be repeated. The display will show “REP ALL”.
• To turn off the repeat modes, press the Repeat button on the remote control repeatedly until
“Repeat Off” is shown.
Random Playback
• To play all tracks in random order, press the Random button on the remote control. The dis-
play will show “SHUFFLE ON”.
• To disable this feature, press the Random button once again.

Programming Track Order
You can store up to 20 tracks in a desired sequence.
1. While in stop mode, press the Prog button. “F01”, “T001” and “P01” will be ashing in the display.
2. Using the / buttons, select the track to be played rst in the sequence.
If the USB contains several albums (folders), select the album rst using the Album▲/▼ buttons
on the remote control (or the Preset -/+ buttons on the unit), followed by the track.
3. Press the Prog button again. “P02” will be shown in the display.
4. Repeat the steps 2 - 3 to select up to 20 tracks for your sequence.
5. Press the Play/Pause button to start the playback of your sequence.
6. To stop playback, press the Stop button. To delete your sequence press this button a second
time.
ID3-Tags
When the les on the inserted USB are equipped with ID3-Tags (artist, track and album names) you
can display them by repeatedly pressing the Display button.
Charging Function
You can charge a mobile phone or similar device through the unit’s USB port by simply connecting the
device to the USB port.
Notes:
• A USB device must always be connected directly to the USB port of this product. The use of a
USB extension cord is not supported by this product. The USB port of this product cannot communicate with a computer directly.

• The reading time for a USB drive varies depending on the speed of the memory device and the
number of songs and folders. In some cases the reading time may be as long as 60 seconds.
• Always switch off the unit before removing a USB ash drive to prevent damage to your USB
device. The manufacturer is not responsible for the loss or damage of data.
• Due to numerous methods of compression it could be that some les or USB ash drives cannot
be played.
