Connect the included
ethernet cable into the
NetCOR RJ-45 network
connection, and plug the
other end into the network switch or router.

PART ONE: Connecting Your NetCOR™NAS
STEP 1: Network Cable
Connect the included AC
power adapter cord into
your NetCOR power connection and the other
end into an AC wall outlet.
STEP 2: POWER CABLE
Connect the USB data
cable into the NetCOR
USB port and the other
end into your external
USB hard disk storage for
additional data storage
capacity.
OPTIONAL: USB DATA
NetCOR™ NAS SYSTEM (REAR)
Switch the power switch
to the ON postion.
STEP 3: POWER UP
!!! Kano Technologies recommends that
you plug your NetCOR into a surge protector or UPS to prevent damage to the system from power surges.
!!! Note- The NetCOR will NOT power on
after the power switch is in the ON postion. Additional steps are required. See

!!! NetCOR USB data ports are not com-
patible with USB hubs or devices attached
to USB hubs

Press and release the
power button on the
front of the NetCOR system. Once the green
power LED stops flashing,
the NetCOR has finished
booting.
STEP 4: POWER ON
!!! If the power LED does not stop flash-
ing, please refer to the trouble shooting
section of your manual.

A) Choose a Windows PC system on the same
nework as the NetCOR system to install the
NetCOR Console.
B) Insert the NetCOR installation CD-ROM in the
CD-ROM drive.
C) Select “Console Installation”.

A) When the installation wizard appears, follow the
on-screen prompts.
B) When installation is complete the following
screen appears.
C) Click “Finish.”
A) Start the NetCOR System Console:
Start > Programs > Storage System Console
B) When the Console appears, click on the
NetCOR NAS name in the left pane.
C) Click “Log On Storage System Manager”.

A) From the Login menu, enter the default user
name and password:
DEFAULT USER NAME: admin
DEFAULT PASSWORD: storage
B) Click “Log-In”.
C) From the NetCOR Homepage, Click “Users”.
STEP 4: Log On to the NetCOR

STEP 6: Mapping the NetCOR to a New Client
A) From the NetCOR Homepage, Click “Users”.
B) Click “Add”.
C) Select the User type (Windows).
D) Create a User Name and Password.
E) Click “Done”.
A) Open My Computer or Windows Explorer and
from the Tools menu, click “Map Network Drive”.
B) From the drive list, assign a drive letter. In the
folder text box enter: \\netcor\username
(username = the assigned name from Step 5-D)
C) Select “Reconnect at logon” to auto connect.
D) Enter username/password in Log On box.

A) Choose a MAC system on the same
nework as the NetCOR system.
B) Open the Utilities folder:
Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities
C) Launch the “Terminal” utility.

A) Within the Terminal utility, type the following:
nmblookup NetCOR
B) Locate the NetCOR IP address line:
XXX . XXX . X . XX NETCOR <00>
C) Make a Note of the IP address (ABOVE IN BLUE)
A) Launch Safari or Firefox web browser.
B) Enter NetCOR IP address in the address bar:
XXX . XXX . X . XX
C) Click “GO”
D) The NetCOR Log On screen should appear.

B) Click “NetCOR” and Click “OK”
C) Click “Authenticate” and enter username/pass
word in Log On box
D) Select share name in the menu. Click “OK”
