1. Introduction:
Thank you for purchasing the innovative optical KanguruMega Mouse from
Kanguru Solutions!
The KanguruMega Mouse is an optical mouse and media card reader rolled into one! Fast, precise movements are provided by the optical sensor and ideal for technical and graphic related work. In addition, the rear of the mouse contains slots for reading various media card formats.
The KanguruMega Mouse is available in two models:
Compact Flash, IBM Micro Drives, and Smart Media compatible
Secure Digital, Multimedia Card, and Sony Memory Stick compatible.
Please refer to the section that applies to your model for installation instructions.

3. Installation Procedure: CF-MD-SM
Note: In order to use the card reader function of the KanguruMega Mouse you must install the drivers if your system requires them (Win98/2000). After the installation has finished your PC will create two drives in “My Computer.” Flash memory cards can then be accessed by opening the according drive in “My Computer.”
Windows 98/2000
1.) Please install the required drivers before attaching the device to your computer.
2.) Insert the Kanguru Master Drivers CD into your CD-ROM drive and open the KanguruMega Mouse folder. Next open the CF-MD-SM folder found under the Drivers folder.
3.) Double-click the SETUP.EXE
4.) An installation wizard will guide you through the installation process.
5.) Once the installation wizard has finished, simply plug the KanguruMega Mouse
into an available USB port to begin use.

Windows ME/XP
1.) There are no drivers required for Windows ME and XP. These operating systems
provide the required card reader drivers.
Macintosh OS X
1.) Macs OS X also has built-in drivers to support the KanguruMega Mouse. Simply plug the KanguruMega Mouse into a USB port, and your Mac OS will automatically install the driver and an icon will show up on your desktop if a flash card is inserted into the mouse.
Note: To properly remove the flash card from your Mac OS X, simply drag the drive icon to the trash to eject the drive. Improper removal/insertion of flash drives may cause your system to freeze or result in a loss of data.
4. Installation Procedure: SD-MMC-MS
Note: After the installation has finished your PC will create two drives in “My Computer.” The flash memory card can then be accessed by opening the according drive.
Windows 98/98SE

5. Troubleshooting
If you are only seeing one removable disk icon in “My Computer” please try the following:
For the SD-MMC-SM model:
1. Right click on the My Computer icon, and scroll down to properties.
2. Open Device Manager, and scroll down to USB controllers
3. You should find a USB Mass Storage Device listed.
4. Double click USB Mass Storage Device, and select the Driver tab.
5. Select Update Driver, and a click Next.
6. Select “search for a suitable driver for my device (recommended)”, and click next.
7. Make sure all of the optional search location boxes are unchecked, and click next.
8. Windows should find a driver called oem19.inf. This is the driver you are looking for.
9. Click next and Windows will update the driver.
For the CF-SM-MD model:
10. Right click on the My Computer icon, and scroll down to properties.
11. Open Device Manager, and scroll down to USB controllers
12. The correct driver for this device is called CF/SM/MD Reader. If you see this under USB Controllers you have the correct drivers installed.
13. If you should find a USB Mass Storage Device listed you will need to select the correct driver.
14. Double click USB Mass Storage Device, and select the Driver tab.
15. Select Update Driver, and a click next.
16. Select “search for a suitable driver for my device (recommended)”, and click next.
17. Make sure all of the optional search location boxes are unchecked, and click next.
18. Windows should find a driver called usbsnx2k.inf. This is the driver you are looking for.
19. Click next and Windows will update the driver.
