1. INTRODUCTION
1.1 Product Description
The KanexPro 8x8 3G SDI Matrix with re-clock technology is an 8-input, 8-output
switcher capable of routing high- resolution SMPTE and standard serial digital
video signals. It supports input and output re-clocking up to 330 feet (100 meters)
for optimum switching at full 1080p HD mode. The matrix switcher can be
controlled using IR remote, front panel buttons or RS-232 interface.

Note: RG6 or RG59 cable is required for SDI transmission; we recommend a
75-ohm high quality coaxial cable. For supported distances at high resolutions

4. PANEL DESCRIPTION
1) Power in, DC 5V/3A adapter available;
2) RS232 interface, connect to computer system;
3) EXT IR;
4) 8 SDI inputs, connect to SDI sources, such as SDI Camera;
5) 8 SDI outputs connect to SDI monitors or other SDI Devices.

5 CONNECTIONS AND OPERATION
5.1 Connections and Operation
(1) Connect the product to appropriate power;
(2) Connect SDI signal sources to the SDI inputs “1” … “8” through high-quality
75Ω coaxial cable（RG59、RG6 cable or equivalent as well）;
(3) Connect the SDI monitors or other SDI devices to the SDI outputs “A” … “H”
through 75Ω coaxial cable;
(4) Operate the SDI signal source to start the show;
5.2 FUNCTIONAL OPERATION
To select the input source, or the Power On / Power Off, here are three operation
ways:
1. Remote-Control Unit
1) To select the specified Input sources: press the serial number of the output
channel + press the serial number of the Input channel that you want, for
example: you want to choose Input 8 to be the output of the A channel, that is:
A 8
2) To select the next input source: press the button “△”corresponding to the
output.
3) To close the output: when the channel is open, press the yellow button
corresponding to the output channel.
4) To open the output: when the channel is closed, press the yellow button
corresponding to the output channel.

The button ▼ ▲ on the front panel are used to select the input source, the Power
switch on the right side is used to shutdown or start up.
Digital tube on the front panel indicates which input the current output signal is
derived from.
3. Connect the PC’s RS232 interface to the RS232 on the back of the main
unit, user can select the input source, Power on and Power off by
entering the command through the "super terminal" on the PC.
The following is the RS232 control instruction sheet：

6 WARRANTY
KanexPro TM warrants that (a) its products (the “Product”) will perform greatly in agreement with the accompanying written
materials for a period of 12 months from the date of receipt (1 year) and (b) that the product will be free from defects in materials and
workmanship under normal use and service for a period of 1 year.
B. CUSTOMER REMEDIES
KanexPro’s entire liability and Customer’s exclusive remedy shall be, at KanexPro option, either return of the price paid for the
product, or repair or replacement of the Product that does not meet this Limited Warranty and which is returned to KanexPro with a
copy of customers’ receipt. This Limited Warranty is void if failure of the Product has resulted from accident, abuse, or misapplication.
Any replacement Product will be warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period of 1 year, whichever is longer.
C. NO OTHER WARRANTIES
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, KANEX DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES,
EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY
