IMPORTANT: Please retain your instruction book for future use.
At Kambrook, we believe that safe performance is the first priority in any consumer product, so that you, our valued customer can confidently use and trust our products. We ask that any electrical appliance that you use be operated in a sensible fashion with due care and attention placed on the following important operating instructions.
Important Safeguards For Your Kambrook Arctic HV Pedestal Fan
• Carefully read all ins tructions before operating the Kambrook Pedestal Fan for the first time and save for future reference.
• Remove and safely di scard a ny packaging material and promotional label s before using the fan for the first time.
• To eliminate a choking hazard for young children, remove and safely discard the protective cover fitted to the power plug of this fan.
• Ensure that the su rface is level, clean and free of water and other substances.
• Always ens ure the fan is properly assembled before use. Follow the instructions provided in this book.
• Keep the fan cl ean. Fo llow the cleaning instructions provided in this book.
• Do not leave the fan unattended when in use.
• Do not place anything, on top of the fan when assembled, when in use and when stored.
• This fan is not intended for commercial or industrial use.
• Avoid touching mobile parts of the fan.
• Never insert fingers, pencils or any other objects through the guard s whenever the power plug is connected, in particular while the fan i s switched on.
• Do not operate in the presence of explosives and/or flammable fumes or liquids.
• Do not unplug the fan by pull ing on the cord.
• Never carry the fan by the cord or yank to disconnect from an outlet; instead grasp the cord at the plug and pull to disconnect. Do not pull the cord around sharp edges or corners.
• The fan must not be used if the grilles are not fastened correctly a nd the pedestal stand and base correctly fit ted as per the instructions provided in this book.
• When unpacking the fan, check to see you have received all the items listed in the parts list before discarding the packa ging.
• To avoid electrical circuit overload, it is recommended that no other ap pliances are plugged into the sa me circuit as your fan when it is in u se.
• Disconnect the power plug before dismantling,
bling or before clean ing and when the
assem fan is not i n use.

Important Safeguards For All Electrical Appliances
• Ful ly unwi nd the power cord before use.
• Connect only to a 230V or 240V power outlet.
• Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a bench or table, touch hot surfaces or become knotted.
• To protect against electric shock , do not immerse the power cord, power plug or appl iance in water or any other liquid, un less it is recommended in the cleaning instructions.
• The appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience a nd knowledge, unless they have been given super vis ion or instruction concerning use of the appliance, by a person responsible for their safety.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
• It is recommended to inspect the appliance regularly. Do not use the appliance if the power supply cord, plug, connector or appliance becomes damaged in anyway. Return the entire appliance to the nearest authorised Kambrook Ser vice Centre for examination and/or repair.
• Any maintenance other tha n clea ning should be performed at an authorized Kambrook Service Centre.
• This appliance is for household use only. Do not use this appliance for other than its intended use. Do not use in moving vehicles or boats. Do not use outdoors.

• The installation of a res idual current device (safety switch) is recommended to provide additional safet y protection when using electrical appliances. It is a dvisable that a safety switch with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30mA be installed in the electrical circuit supplying the appliance. See your electricia n for professional advice
• Always turn the appliance to the OFF position, switch of f at the power outlet and unplug at the power outlet when the appliance is not in u se.
• Before clea ning, always turn the app liance to the OFF position, switch of f at the power outlet, unplug at the power outlet and remove the power cord, if detachable, from the appliance and allow a ll parts to cool.
• Do not place this appliance on or near a heat source, such as hot plate, oven or heaters.

Before First Use
Remove any promotional material from the fan.
IMPORTANT: When unpacking the fan, check to see you have received all the items listed in the Parts List before discarding the packaging.
Assembling Your Kambrook Arctic HV Pedestal Fan
Base and Extension Tube Assembly
1. Place the Fixing Tube into the hole
of the Stability Plate (Fig. 1) then place both under the Base. Place the Washer on to the Locking Screw and fit through the hole at the bottom of the Stability Plate (Fig. 2).
2. Fit the Outer Extension Tube on to
the Locking Screw and tighten the Locking Screw firmly. (Fig. 3).

NOTE: The Washer fits into the
groove on the bottom of the Stability Plate and is correctly fitted if the Locking Screw protrudes from the other side of the Base leaving enough thread to screw onto the Outer Extension Tube.

and pull up on the Inner Extension Tube to adjust the height, ensuring that the Height Adjustment Knob is fully tightened to hold in place before assembling the Fan Head. (Fig. 4).

The Inner Extension Tube is
inside the Outer Extension Tube.
4. Mount the pre-assembled Fan Head to
the Inner Extension Tube and tighten the Fan Head Screw until it is tight (Fig. 5).

IMPORTANT: The prongs
on the pre-assembled fan head assembly may need to be pried apart slightly to more easily fit on to the top of the extension tube. Do not force the pre-assembled fan head onto the extension tube.
5. Press the two Tilt Adjustment Knobs
firmly on to the bolts located on either side of the fan head. (Fig. 6)
To Operate the Kambrook Arctic HV Pedestal Fan
Plug the cord into a 230V or 240V power point and switch on.
The fan has 3 speeds. To adjust the flow of air, turn the fan speed dial located at the back of the fan to the preferred speed ­LOW, MED or HIGH. To turn Off, turn the fan speed dial to the OFF position.
NOTE: To avoid an electrical circuit overload, it is recommended that no other appliances are plugged into the same circuit as your fan when it is in use.
Adjusting Air Flow Direction
To adjust the flow of air left or right, manually swivel the fan to the desired position.
To adjust the flow of air up or down, slightly loosen the two tilt adjustment knobs located on either side of the fan and tilt the fan either upwards or downwards to suit. Once the fan is in the desired position, re-tighten the two knobs to hold in place.
Adjustable Height
The fan height can be manually adjusted. Simply loosen the Height Adjustment Knob on the Extension Tube of the fan, then adjust to the required height. Re-tighten the Height Adjustment Knob when the desired height has been reached (Fig. 6).

Care and Maintenance
Always turn the fan to the OFF position, switch off at the power outlet and unplug at the power outlet before cleaning.
To clean the fan, remove dust that may have accumulated with a soft cloth or a vacuum cleaner using the brush attachment. Wipe the exterior of the fan with a soft, damp cloth.
Never use an abrasive cleaner. When not in use, store the fan in a cool, clean and dry location.
