Operation
There are three ways to operate this unit: A. Master/Slave operation B. Sound activated (Sound-to-Light) and Auto mode C. Via a universal DMX controller
A. Master/Slave operation
Multiple units can be linked together in a daisy chain and operated in Master/Slave mode to perform pre-programmed lighting shows triggered by music. Please use a 3 pin XLR cable/plug when connecting multiple units together in Master/Slave mode. In Master/Slave mode please refer to the DMX settings below:
Master unit: when working in Auto or Sound control mode operation. Slave units: the DMX start address MUST be set to 001 (the first dipswitch should be set to ON, all others should be set to OFF).
B. Sound activated (Sound-to-Light) and Auto mode
To operate the unit in Sound activated mode, set dipswitch 10 to ON. Dipswitches 1-6 set the speed. All other dipswitches should be set to OFF. Use the Mic Senstivity to change the unit’s sensitivity to the music or sound.
To operate the unit in Auto mode, set dipswitches 9 and 10 to ON. Dipswitches 1-6 set the speed (1 = slow / 6 = fast). All other dipswitches should be set to OFF.
C. Universal DMX controller operation
When using a universal DMX controller to control a chain of units, you have to set the DMX address using the dipswitches from 1 to 9 to make sure all the units will receive its DMX signal.
