INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing the Kam DMX Star Cluster 3D. To optimise the performance of this product, prior to use,

lease read these operating instructions carefully to familiarise yourself with the basic operations of this unit. The
Kam DMX Star Cluster 3D is ground breaking laser effect that will excite both you and your audiences alike. Please
keep these instructions in a safe place for future reference. This unit has been tested in the factory before being
shipped to you. There is no assembly required.
WARNINGS
To prevent or reduce the risk of electrical shock or fire, do not expose this unit to high temperature, rain
or moisture.
Laser Class 3B product. National regulations must be adhered to at all steps of installation. (In Germany apply
DIN 56912 and BGVR LASER. Note: additional regulations may apply).
Unintended reflections of the laser beam from reflective or metallic surfaces can be dangerous.
Visible and invisible laser light direct beams can damage the human eye, do not look at any laser light directly.
When cleaning the laser aperture, please use a soft cloth.
There are no serviceable parts in the laser please have all servicing and adjustments made by a qualified
service engineer
This appliance is to used by qualified personnel only.
LASER RADIATION WARNING
This unit uses diode lasers in green and red. This is CLASS 3B laser product. Avoid exposure to eyes. Never open
the laser diode box, please refer unit to a qualified engineer for servicing or repairs.

UNPACKING YOUR NEW KAM PRODUCT
1. Carefully inspect your laser as you unpack it. If any damage is evident, please notify the supplier you purchased
the unit from immediately. For safety reasons do not use the unit if any damage has occurred during
transportation.

The laser has several built in modes, these will be shown in the LED display as:
Sud Sound-to-light mode
Avt Auto play mode
Nol Laser off
001 DMX512 mode
000 Master / Slave mode for the Slave unit
DIP SWITCH SETTINGS
All off Laser off
10 on Sound control mode
10+1 on Auto play mode
10 off DMX controlling mode
10+2 on Sets Slave unit for Master / Slave mode
SOUND ACTIVATION MODE
1. Choose a suitable position to install your laser
2. Set the 10th dip switch to the ON position.
3. Connect the power supply.
4. Play some music, whilst setting the sensitivity adjustment to get the best effect. The when the knob is
turned to the left, sensitivity is at minimum, turn clockwise to increase the sensitivity.

DMX 512 MODES

. Whilst connected to an international standard DMX512 controller -
2. Set the 10th dip switch to the OFF position.
3. Set the 1st to 9th dip switches as per the laser’s original address (Max: 255).
4. The machine has 5 controlling channels, its channels are distributed as listed below.
Channel DMX512 value Description
Channel 1 - Mode 0-69 Laser off
70~139 Sound control mode
140~209 Auto run mode
210~255 DMX512 mode initiates other DMX control channels
Channel 2 - Rotation 0~130 Clockwise
131~255 Anticlockwise
Channel 3 - Speed 1~255 10 level speed (from slow to fast)
Channel 4 - Flash 0-255 10 level speed (from slow to fast)
Channel 5 - Colour 0-69 Red laser
70~139 Green laser
140~255 Red and green laser
MASTER SLAVE MODE (NO CONTROLLER)
Link two units together by setting one of the units (the Master) to ‘sud’, then set the Slave unit’s dipswitches to
10+2, this will display 000 in the LED display. Link the units using a DMX cable (3pin XLR to 3 pin XLR).
Please note this feature is only available on units with a serial number after 8115501. This feature was not
available prior to this serial number.
