The dust level indicator turns red when the dust container should be emptied. In this case, refer to the MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING section. However, even if the indicator is not completely red, make sure the dust level never exceeds the MAX indication on the dust container.
Moreover, the hose might get blocked by a larger object. In this case the dust level indicator will be red as well, but this will not mean that you have to empty the container. You will just have to remove the object, which blocks your tube or flexible hose, and your appliance will function properly again. Do not forget to unplug the appliance before removing the blocking object.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Before starting cleaning and maintenance, always switch off and unplug the appliance.
Never put any accessory in the dishwasher.
Never use abrasive products for cleaning.
Cleaning the appliance
The housing of the appliance can be cleaned with soft damp cloth. Make sure no water enters in the appliance when doing so.
Cleaning the filters and the dust container
The filters guarantee you fresh air when vacuum cleaning. Filters that are maintained properly will allow your appliance to keep its maximum suction power. The dirtier the filters, the weaker the suction power will be. It is necessary to clean the filters regularly to avoid operation problems.
Each filter should be checked, cleaned or replaced respecting the following instructions:
Emptying and cleaning the dust container
Take the dust container out of the appliance by raising it by its handle.
A push button is located on the dust container that you can use to open and empty it automatically. To do this, hold the dust container over your dustbin and press the bottom release button.
After this rinse out the dust container and wipe it dry.

Cleaning the HEPA filter
After emptying the dust container clean the HEPA filter if necessary.
To do so, you can detach the HEPA filter by turning it anti-clockwise.
It is also possible to take out the HEPA filter by removing the top cover of the dust container. To do so, hold the dust container with one hand and turn the turning button on top of the container with anti-clockwise with the other hand to take out the cover and filter assembly. To detach the HEPA filter from the cover, turn it anti-clockwise.
There is a nylon filter around the HEPA filter. You can easily remove it.
Clean both filters under clear running water (never use detergents or other cleaning agents) and allow them to dry.
Put the nylon cover around the HEPA filter, and attach this assembly back on the top cover of the dust container.
If you loosened it before, as explained above, attach the top cover back on the dust container by aligning the arrow on the cover with the open padlock on the dust container and rotating it until the arrow aligns itself with the closed padlock. Check that it is closed properly.
