IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using your appliance, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS
2. Check that your mains voltage corresponds to that stated on the rating plate of the appliance before using the appliance.
3. To protect against electrical shock do not immerse cord, plug, or the motor unit in water or other liquid.

13. Remove the beaters from the mixer before washing.
14. This kind of appliance cannot function continuously; it is not a professional type of appliance. It is necessary to make temporary stops. Check the section "Important information" in the instruction manual.

15. The appliance is designed for the preparation of small quantities of food that have to be consumed rather quickly. It is not designed for the preparation of large quantities at once.
16. It is absolutely necessary to keep this appliance clean at all times as it comes into direct contact with food.
17. To disconnect cord, turn the speed switch to "0", then remove the plug from wall outlet.
18. Always keep an eye on the unit when using it as a stand mixer and to continually ensure the dough or mix in the bowl does not rise up into the gear section

POLARIZED PLUG INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is equipped with a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug will fit into the polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not properly fit into the outlet at first, reverse it. If it still does not fit, contact a competent qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in
any way.
SHORT CORD INSTRUCTIONS
A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards resulting from becoming entangled in, or tripping over a longer cord. Extension cords may be used if care is exercised in their use.
The electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least
that of the appliance. If the electrical rating of the extension cord is too low, it could overheat and burn.
The resulting extended cord should be arranged so that it will
not drape over the counter top or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
This appliance is not for professional use. You should follow the requested breaks. Failure to follow this instruction carefully may result in damage to the motor. Please refer to the rating label for the maximum continuous usage time (KB xx min where xx is the maximum usage time). The breaks should last at least 10 minutes.
MOUNTING
Using the appliance without its support
With those accessories you can beat, knead and mix. It is recommended to make round movements or movements in form of an 8.
Make sure the speed switch is in "0" position and the appliance is unplugged from the power supply.
Insert the accessories in the openings at the bottom of the appliance and if necessary, turn them lightly until you hear a light click.
The beaters and the dough hooks have a specific sense of mounting. The beater / dough hook with the plastic part should be mounted in the hole surrounded by an indented “star”. Check that the beaters / dough hooks are correctly mounted by pulling them slightly.
Push the ejection button to remove those accessories.

Use with support and bowl
Check that the speed switch is on « 0 » position and that the
appliance is unplugged.
Insert the dough hooks / beaters in the openings situated
underneath the appliance (see “Using the appliance without its support”).
Once the beaters or the dough hooks are
placed, stand the appliance on its support. To do so, press the bracket release button and rotate the support so that it is in a « vertical » position.
Then hold the appliance parallel to the
support and slide the appliance in the support.
Then push slightly on the appliance
perpendicularly to the support. When you hear a “click”, it means the appliance is correctly placed. Check that it is well placed by lifting it up gently.
Pay attention to the power cable. It should
be placed correctly in the space foreseen to that effect.
Place the bowl on its support and check
that it is in a good position.
Press the bracket release button to put the
support and the appliance horizontally in order to immerse the accessories in the bowl.

You may now plug in the appliance and select a speed. The
rotating device under the bowl, on the support of the appliance, will make the bowl turn automatically.
To remove the appliance from its support, press the bracket
release button and put the support in a vertical position.
Then press the appliance release button and push the
appliance gently aside from the support (perpendicularly to the support)
Then slide the appliance parallel to the support in order to
remove it from the support.
Note: Always keep an eye on the unit when using it as a stand mixer and to continually ensure the dough or mix in the bowl does not rise up into the gear section
SPEED SETTINGS
Speeds: 1 Dry ingredients: butter, potatoes, flour
2 Liquids, sauces, spices 3 Dough: cake, biscuits 4 Desserts (creams) 5 Egg white, whipped cream
Your appliance is fitted with a turbo function, which allows increasing the speed of your appliance, whatever the speed (1 to 5). You only have to press the booster button and to maintain it. The turbo switches off when you release the button.
Your appliance also has a pulse function, which allows you to use your appliance for a very short time. To use this function, push the speed switch to the left, your appliance will start. Once you release the switch, the appliance stops.

CLEANING
Always unplug the appliance from the power supply before cleaning it.
Remove the accessories before washing them in soap water. Do not use scouring pads for the plastic materials. Rinse with clear water and let dry before each new use. Do not place them in the dishwasher.
Wipe the outside with only a slightly moistened cloth, ensuring that no moisture enters the cooling slots.
Do not clean with any abrasive scouring pad or steel wool, as this will damage the finish.
Do not immerse the motor unit in water or any other liquid.

We suggest that you complete and return the enclosed Product Registration Card promptly to facilitate verification of the date of original purchase. However, return of the Product Registration Card is not a condition of these warranties. You can also fill this warranty card online, at the following address: www.KALORIK.com
This KALORIK product is warranted, in the U.S.A., for 1 year from the date of purchase against defects in material and workmanship. This warranty is not transferable. Keep the original sales receipt. Proof of purchase is required to obtain warranty performance.
During this period, the KALORIK product that, upon inspection by KALORIK, is proved defective, will be repaired or replaced, at Kalorik’s option, without charge to the customer. If a replacement product is sent, it will carry the remaining warranty of the original product.
This warranty does not apply to any defect arising from a buyer's or user's misuse of the product, negligence, failure to follow KALORIK instructions noted in the user’s manual, use on current or voltage other than that stamped on the product, wear and tear, alteration or repair not authorized by KALORIK, or use for commercial purposes. There is no warranty for glass parts, glass containers, filter basket, blades and agitators, and accessories in general. There is also no warranty for parts lost by the user.
