Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance.
Important: People (including children) who are not able to use the appliance in a safe way, due to their physical, sensorial or mental capacity or their lack of experience or knowledge, must never use the appliance except if they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or if they previously received instructions concerning the safe use of the appliance.
Close supervision is necessary to prevent children from using the appliance as a toy.
Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use.
From time to time check the appliance for damages. Never
use the appliance if it shows any signs of damage. All repairs should be made by a qualified electrician.
Only use the appliance for domestic purposes and in the way indicated in these instructions.

Low battery indicator and overloading indicator
BEFORE THE FIRST USE
This appliance works with 2 lithium batteries (3 V, type CR2032, included). If batteries are not pre-installed, remove the lid of the battery housing on the rear part of the scale. Place the batteries, the positive pole facing outwards, and then put back the lid. Screw the glass plate onto the base of the appliance. You can now use your scale.
WEIGHT UNIT
Your scale allows you to use the metric measurement system (grams) OR the imperial system (ounce). Choose the measurement system by putting the switch (oz…g) on the measurement system you wish to use. This switch is situated on the bottom side of the appliance.
USE
Put the scale on an even and hard surface, for instance a table. Avoid soft surfaces.
Normal weighing
1) Press the front cover. The scale will turn on and the LCD display will show “0” g or “0.0” oz.

2) Put the object you want to weigh on the glass plate. The stabilized weight is displayed.
3) Remove the object from the glass plate.
4) The scale turns off automatically after 60 seconds. You can also switch the scale off anytime by keeping the front cover pressed for two seconds.
Note: if you press the front cover while something is being weighed, the LCD display will show “0”/“0.0” and “TARE” will appear on the left-hand side. When you remove the object from the glass plate, the LCD display will show the object’s weight as negative (“ – ” will appear on the left-hand side).
Combination weighing
With the combination weighing function you can add up the weights of several objects.
1) Press the front cover. The scale will turn on and the LCD display will show “0” g or “0.0” oz.
2) Press the front cover again. “M” will appear on the left-hand side of the display.
3) Put the first object you want to weigh on the glass plate. The stabilized weight is displayed.
4) Press the front cover to save the weight.
5) Remove the object from the glass plate.
6) Press the front cover to continue to the next weighing. The LCD display will show “0”/“0.0”.
7) Put the next object on the glass plate. Its stabilized weight is displayed.
8) Press the front cover to save the weight. The total weight of the weighed objects is displayed.
9) Remove the object from the glass plate.
10) Press the front cover to continue to the next weighing and proceed as described above. The maximum capacity for combination weighing is 19999 g / 705.4 oz. When the total weight exceeds this maximum capacity, “Err” will appear on the display.
11) Keep the front cover pressed for two seconds to go back to the normal weighing function.

12) The scale turns off automatically if there is no action within 60 seconds.
Note: if you do not remove an object when you have saved its weight and you press the front cover again, “ON” will momentarily appear on the display reminding you to remove the object.
Caution: the maximum capacity of each weighing is 5 kg / 176.3 oz.
ERROR INDICATION
If the display shows symbols randomly or if the scale doesn’t turn off automatically, it means that your scale has a problem (wrong initialization or weighing error). Step off the scale and wait for it to turn off. You can start again. If the problem goes on, remove the batteries for 10 seconds, then put them back in place.
OVERLOADING INDICATOR
If the symbol appears on the LCD screen, it means that the maximum weight accepted by your scale is exceeded, please remove the object from the glass plate in order not to damage your scale.
LOW BATTERY INDICATOR
If the symbol is displayed on the LCD screen, it means that the batteries of your scale are low and should be replaced soon. If the
symbol is displayed on the LCD screen, it means that the
batteries of your scale are empty and should be replaced (see paragraph “Before the first use”). Please dispose of the old batteries in an environmentally friendly way.
