WARNING

People with pacemakers or other types of electronic implants should
not use this product because the measuring method of the resistance
might interfere with its good functioning.This product is suitable for
adults and children of age 10 or older. 

If you have any doubt about the use of this product, please consult your
physician. 

The scale uses the Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) method to
measure the body fat, the total body water, the bone mass and the
muscular mass.BIA = the scale has electrodes measuring the body

electric resistance (muscles offer less resistance than fat, and that can
be correlated with the body weight).

The integrated computer calculates the body fat and other data
percentages based on age, sex and height.This method is quick, sure

and accurate and gives a result within 30 seconds.

The scale has a memory for 8 users at most, which allows the whole
family to use it without having to re-enter all data at every use.

WHY IS MEASURING THE BODY FAT (BF) SO
IMPORTANT?

For years, obesity has been defined as the presence of superfluous «
body fat ».It is not a matter of sheer body weight. Some people have

a strong proportion of fat balanced with muscular mass, and some slim
people experience a large increase of body fat.

The « body fat » is an important part of the human body and it deals
with a certain number of essential tasks: protecting our joints, storing

vitamins, regulating our body temperature...However, fat may
contribute to a lot of stress for the human body (particularly for the

cardiovascular system) and may also lead to diabetes. The goal is not
only to reduce fat as much as possible, but rather to reach and
maintain a good rate between muscular mass and body fat. Therefore,
the control of these two levels, weight and fat, is a fundamental
requirement for a good physical condition and a good health.

WHY IS WATER CONTENT SUCH AN IMPORTANT

MEASURE?

After oxygen, water is the most important of the nutritive elements
which the body requires to work efficiently.Water plays an essential

role in almost all bodily functions and helps regulate the body
temperature, carry nutrients, moisturize and purify the skin, improve the
digestive system and lubricate joints.

Every process in our body is dependent on water and most people do
not drink enough water.By keeping your body liquid level under

control, you can react quickly to regulate fluids when necessary.

MEASURING METHOD

The measuring method accepted by scientists worldwide is called
“Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis”.With this method, a weak and

imperceptible electric current travels through the body (this current is
totally harmless for the human body*).The current, which has the

capacity to circulate more easily through liquid in our muscles than
through fat, goes through the legs and allows measuring the body
electric resistance.This resistance depends on the quantity of water in
the body (our muscles contain about 73% of water).After measuring

the electric resistance, this value can be used to calculate directly the
muscular mass of our lower limbs. Our gender and our height are taken
into account to determine muscular mass as a whole.

On the contrary, body fat acts as an insulating substance (it reduces
the capacity of the current to go through) and thus cannot be

calculated directly.It is more about determining the measured weight
indirectly using the formula Fat mass = Body weight – Muscular mass.

This method allows us to take the whole body fat into account.

The water content of the body is measured by the calculation of the
73% of the muscular mass.

Please note: The app “AIFit” is required to be able to utilize all the
functions of the scale. You can download this app for free from the
App Store, or scan the QR code below to start downloading the app.
Only the conventional weighing mode can be used without the app.

This appliance works with 2 AAA-type batteries (2 x 1.5V, included).
Open the lid of the battery housing, on the rear part of the scale. Place
the batteries, respecting the polarity indicated, and then close the lid.
You can now use your scale.

CONVENTIONAL WEIGHING

1. Place the scale on a dry, even and firm base (avoid carpets and

uneven floors, as it could produce inaccurate measurement
results).

2. Tap your foot on the scale to activate the display.

3. Wait until the display shows “0.0” (kg / lb. / st).

Note: Before you stand on the scale, you can choose whether the
weight should be displayed in kilograms (kg), pounds (lb.) or stone
(st). See the “Setting the Weight Unit” section below

4. Stand on the scale. The body weight will be calculated.

5. Once the body weight has been established, the number on the

display begins to flash. You can now get off the scale.

6. The scale switches off automatically after a few moments.

DOWNLOADING THE APP AND CREATING AN
ACCOUNT

Before the scale can calculate your body fat, water content, content
of bone and muscle mass as well as your BMI and daily calorie
demand, the following details need to be saved in your user profile:
Gender, height and age. You have the option of saving up the 8 user
profiles in the app.

1. Download the app “AIFit” either using the QR code or from the

Google Play Store (Android) or on the AppStore (iOS). The App
requires iOS 8.0 or higher, or Android 4.3 or higher.

2. Register with your e-mail address and a password.

CREATING AND MANAGING USER PROFILE

You can enter your own user profile in the app directly after registering.
Once you have entered all the data, select DONE. You will
automatically move to the main menu. Further user profiles are entered
using the plus button in your profile:

1. To do this, select your profile, either by selecting your profile name at

the top left or by swiping to the right on the display. The profile menu
opens.

2. Select the plus (+) button. The profile creation page opens.

3. Enter the new profile (name, gender, height, date of birth) and

confirm the details entered with DONE.
You can now move between the profiles by selecting the profile you
want from the menu and selecting the weighing function or the
statistics function

SETTING THE WEIGHT UNIT

On the settings / extra menus, you can choose whether the weight
should be displayed in kilograms (kg), pounds (lb.) or stone (st).

1. Make your choice either by using the settings / extra symbol (top

right) or by swiping to the left on the display.

2. Select UNIT.

3. You can now select the unit of weight you want.

Use the arrow to go back to settings / extra. The unit of weight you
want is automatically adopted.

CALCULATING BODY FAT AND WATER
CONTENT, BONE, MUSCLE MASS, BMI AND
CALORIE DEMAND

The measurement results calculated with this scale and app are only
reference values and act as a guideline. We advise against using the
results as the basis for any form of medical treatment or diet. Please
consult your doctor if you have any questions about your weight, a
medical treatment or a diet.

1. Place the scale on a dry, even and firm base.

2. Switch on Bluetooth

®

on your smartphone.

3. Open the app "AiFit". The app automatically attempts to connect

to the scale. Note: Only connect one smartphone to the scale at
the same time.

4. Tap your foot on the scale to activate the display.

5. Wait until the display shows '0.0' (kg / lb. / st).

6. Stand with bare feet on the scale. Make sure that your feet are

placed correctly on the contact areas. The body weight will be
calculated.

7. Once the body weight has been established, the number on the

display begins to flash. The other values are calculated immediately
after this.

8. Remain still on the scale until they automatically switch off or all the

data is displayed in the app.

9. The values calculated are displayed to you on the main menu in

the following order:

a. WEIGHT
b. BMI (Body Mass Index)
c. BFR (Body Fat Rate)
d. MUSCLE
e. MOISTURE (water)
f. BONE MASS
g. BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate)
h. VISCERAL FAT
i. SUBCUTANEOUS FAT
j. PROTEIN RATE

10. Alongside your value you will see whether your results are in the

standard range (STD) or are too high (HIGH) or too low (LOW)
(measured against average values).

11. Select one of the values to go to a more detailed menu.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS

STATISTICS

You can also view your daily, weekly, monthly and annual statistics on
the main menu:
To do this, swipe on the display from the bottom upwards - the main
menu goes onto the second page.
In addition, via settings/extras you can use the following functions:
From each menu item, you can select back (arrow symbol at the top
left) to return to settings / extras.

BABY WEIGHT SCALE

This function allows you to weigh and save the weight of your baby.
Weight statistics are also created here.

1. To do this, select BABY WEIGHT SCALE.

2. Create a new profile for your baby.

3. Once the profile has been created, you are automatically directed

to the main menu, but in the baby weight scale function only the
weight is displayed.

4. Stand on the scale, first without the baby, and calculate your own

weight.

5. Get off the scale and wait until it switches off.

6. Stand on the scale along with your baby. The weight of your baby

will be calculated and saved.

• To view your own values or measure yourself, you must select your
own profile again (see the "Creating and Managing User Profile"
section).

• The app automatically switches to NORMAL MODE or to the BABY
WEIGHT SCALE when you switch between your profile and that of your
baby.

WEIGHT ENCYCLOPEDIA

Here you will find the LATEST NEWS, a short guide on how to calculate
standard weight and BMI (KNOWLEDGE) and standard values for
weight, height and head circumference of male and female babies
from 1 month to 1 year of age (REFERENCE).

WEIGHING REMINDER

This function allows you to:
– set up to two WEIGHING REMINDERS.

SHARE

Share your values with family, friends and people you know via various
platforms.

UNIT

Select which unit of weight should be displayed (kg / lb. / st) (see the
"Setting Weight Unit" section).

MY DEVICE

Under this menu item you can connect your smartphone and the scale
manually if the automatic connection has failed, or disconnect the
devices:
– Connect: Select HAVEN'T BINDING DEVICE. The app will search for the
scale. Select the scale from the list. The app connects the smartphone
and scale to one another.
– Disconnect: Select the scale from the list of connected devices. The
app disconnects the smartphone and scale from one another.

SYSTEM UPDATE

Here you can see whether there is a new update for the app, and you
can download this directly.

ERROR MESSAGES

The following error messages can appear on the display:

figures in people who have a high body fat content. In
the case of endurance or performance athletes, by
contrast, the guideline figures may be exceeded due

The scale is positioned on an uneven surface (e.g. a
carpet). The measured values may be distorted if the
surface underneath is uneven.

Place the scale on a flat and firm surface.

No values for the body fat and water content can be
calculated. Correct the position of your feet. The feet
must be bare and dry and be positioned correctly on
the contact areas on the scale.

REPLACING THE BATTERIES

If “Lo” appears on the display, the batteries are too weak and need to

be replaced.

You require 2x 1.5 V batteries, AAA type.

1. Open the battery compartment on the bottom of the scale.

2. Remove the used batteries from the battery compartment.

3. Insert two new 1.5 V batteries, AAA type. Pay attention to the

correct polarity.

4. Close the battery compartment again. The battery compartment

cover must be heard to engage in place.

CLEANING AND STORAGE

Never immerse the device in water or other liquids. No liquid must be
allowed to enter the device during cleaning.
Do not use any abrasive cleaning agents or cleaning pads to clean the
device. These can damage the surface.
Clean the device with a slightly damp, soft cloth and, if necessary, a
little mild cleaning agent.
If you are not going to use the device for a prolonged period of time,
remove the batteries (see the "Replacing the Batteries" chapter) and
store the device away in a dry, clean place which is protected from
direct sunlight and is out of the reach of children.

DISPOSAL

The packaging material is recyclable. Please dispose of it in
an environmentally friendly manner and take it to a
recycling center.

Dispose of the device in an environmentally friendly
manner. Dispose of it at a recycling center for used
electrical and electronic devices. You can obtain more
information from your local authorities.

The batteries should be removed prior to disposal of the
device and disposed of separately from the device. To
protect the environment, non-rechargeable and
rechargeable batteries may not be disposed of with
normal household waste, but must be taken to suitable
collection points. Also note the relevant statutory

regulations governing the disposal of batteries.

We suggest that you complete and return the enclosed Product
Registration Card promptly to facilitate verification of the date of
original purchase. However, return of the Product Registration Card is
not a condition of these warranties. You can also fill out this warranty

This KALORIK product is warranted in the U.S.A. for 1 year from the date
of purchase against defects in material and workmanship. This warranty
is not transferable. Keep the original sales receipt. Proof of purchase is
required to obtain warranty performance.

During this period, if the KALORIK product, upon inspection by KALORIK,

is proven defective, it will be repaired or replaced, at Kalorik’s option,

without charge to the customer. If a replacement product is sent, it will
carry the remaining warranty of the original product.

This warranty does not apply to any defect arising from a buyer's or
user's misuse of the product, negligence, failure to follow KALORIK

instructions noted in the user’s manual, use on current or voltage other

than that stamped on the product, wear and tear, alteration or repair
not authorized by KALORIK, or use for commercial purposes. There is no
warranty for glass parts, glass containers, filter basket, blades and
agitators, and accessories in general. There is also no warranty for parts
lost by the user.

ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS WITH RESPECT TO THIS
PRODUCT IS ALSO LIMITED TO THE ONE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
PERIOD.

Some states do not allow limitation on how long an implied warranty
lasts or do not allow the exclusion of incidental or consequential
damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you. This warranty
gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights
which vary from state to state.

If the appliance should become defective within the warranty period
and more than 30 days after date of purchase, do not return the
