9. Use the Pulse function to blend hard or frozen ingredients. The
pulse function allows you to blend with short bursts of power at the highest speed.
Note: The Pulse function shouldn’t be used continuously for more
than 1 minute.
10. If needed, use the tamper to accelerate the
process of thick or frozen mixtures that may be difficult to blend otherwise. Use the tamper to press ingredients into the blades while the machine is running. Note: Always use the tamper when the main part of the lid is in place. Do not use more than 30 consecutive seconds. The tamper may need to be pointed toward the side or corner of the container in order to help the ingredients circulate.
11. When done blending, turn the speed dial to the lowest setting
and then turn the On/Off switch to the “Off” position.
12. Unplug the appliance.

DO NOT blend continuously for more than 3 minutes. Wait for the unit to cool down before blending again. The appliance should rest for a minimum of 1 minute after 3 minutes of use. If making nut butters or oil-based foods, do not process for more than one minute after the mixture starts to circulate in the container.
Processing for longer periods can cause dangerous overheating.
13. Pour your freshly blended drink or preparation in a glass or
separate container. First, lift to remove the jar from the motor base. Then, remove the lid. Finally, pour the mixture in another container.
Note about ice crushing:
For best results, fill the jar with ice cubes at about ½ of its capacity and add 1 cup or 1 ½ cups of water. Press the pulse button a few times until desired consistency. Use the tamper to move the ice cubes if necessary. Do not operate continuously for more than 5 seconds. Drain the extra water if necessary.

placed securely on top of the unit.
