To achieve the best possible servicelife and safety from the gas spring, the
instructions below must be followed.
The gas spring is intended for use in
tool and machine applications.
For marking and general information of
the product, see the back page.

Mounting instructions
Secure the gas spring to the tool/
machine whenever possible, using
the threaded holes in the base of the
gas spring or a suitable flange.
Do not use the gas spring in such a
way that the piston is released
freely from its compressed position,
as this could cause internal damage to
the gas spring.
Make sure the gas spring is mounted
parallel to the direction of the compression stroke.
Ensure the entire contact surface of
the piston top is used, is perpendicular
to the direction of the compression
stroke and is sufficiently hardened.
The gas spring should not be subjected to side loads. Protect the piston
against mechanical damage and
contact with fluids.
We do not recommend 10 % of the
nominal stroke to be utilized.
The maximum charging pressure (at
20°C) must not be exceeded as it may
effect the safety of the product.
Exceeding the gas spring’s recommended operating temperature will shorten
the service-life of the gas spring.
Do not remove the SP bottom (if
attached) from the CU4 spring until all
gas pressure has been discharged.

Monteringsanvisningar
Fäst, när så är möjligt, gasfjädern
i verktyget med hjälp av de
gängade hålen i gasfjäderns botten
eller med hjälp av lämpligt fäste.
Använd inte gasfjädern på sådant sätt
att kolven släpps helt fri från intryckt
läge, eftersom detta kan leda till svåra
skador på gasfjädern.
Se till att gasfjädern är monterad helt
parallellt med rörelseriktningen.
Kontaktytan på kolvänden ska vara
vinkelrät mot rörelseriktningen och
hela kolvens yta ska utnyttjas som
kontaktyta.
Gasfjädern får inte utsättas för någon
sidobelastning.
Skydda kolven mot mekaniska skador
och kontakt med vätska.
Vi rekommenderar att inte utnyttja de
sista 10% av nominell slaglängd.
Det maximala fyllnadstrycket (vid
20°C) som anges för gasfjädern får
inte överskridas, eftersom det kan
äventyra produktens säkerhet.
Om de för gasfjädern rekommenderade driftstemperaturerna inte kan
hållas, förkortas gasfjäderns livslängd.
Botten med sidoport får inte demonteras då gasfjädern är trycksatt.

Instrucciones de montaje
Si es posible, ajustar el resorte en la
herramienta con ayuda de uno o varios
de los orificios fileteados de la base
del resorte, u otro soporte adecuado.
Evitar el empleo del resorte de gas de
forma que la pistón quede totalmente
desplegada en posición accionada,
ya que ello puede dañar seriamente
el resorte.
Asegurarse de montar el resorte de
gas en posición totalmente paralela a
la dirección de movimiento.
Asegure la superficie de contacto
entera de la tapa del pistón se utiliza,
es perpendicular a la dirección del
movimiento de la compresión y se
endurece suficientemente.
El resorte de gas no puede ser sometido a ningun tipo de presión lateral.
Proteger la biela contra posibles daños
mecánicos e impedir que entre en
contacto con cualquier líquido.
Recomendamos no utilizar los últimos
10% de la carrera nominal.
No superar la presión máxima de
llenado (a 20°C) especificada para
el resorte de gas. De lo contrario,
se comprometerá la seguridad del
producto.
Si no se mantienen las temperaturas
operativas recomendadas para el
resorte de gas, disminuirá la vida útil
de éste.
Un fondo con portal delado no se recomenda a demontar cuando el restor de
gas esta en presión.
