From 21 c entury, solar, wind an d other renewa ble clean ener gy is applied more and more widely, b ut the existin g solar,
wind pow er generation system generally have the difficul t to monitor an d maintenance, new gen eration of
communi cation type PV power system came into being and solv e this kind of p roblem perfec t. WVC Modem is a
importa nt part of comm unication generation system. The success of res earch and deve lopment of WVC Modem ha ve
provide d a reliable re lay communication dat a support for c entralized an d round-the-c lock devices monitori ng
managem ent. And the u ser can through this manual to unders tanding the de tailed of WVC M odem’s use method an d
attenti ons.

WVC Mode m is the import ant component of communication powe r generating s ystem. Accordi ng to the appli ed
charact eristics, we d esign a WVC Modem which can monitorin g and manage of 100 pcs micro i nverter. 100pc s micro
inverte r and one WVC Mo dem make a group. In the same group, mi cro inverters and WVC Modem m ust be install ed
inthesa me phase circuit ,WVC Modem’s standard i nterface is RS23 2,If there are no RS 232 interface on your computer
you need to b uy the USB To RS232 con nector then us e the USB port to c ommunicate dir ectly.

po wer. Of course, the fir st pre mise is y our co mpute r needs a seria l port (If ther e are n o RS23 2 interf ace on your c omputer
you ne ed to buy t he USB To R S232 conn ector the n use the U SB port to communic ate directly.). An d the deta ils insta llation

It is simpl e to reboot WVC Mode m:Turn WVC Modem p ower off, then wait for second s to restore power s upply;
2.6 Equipment reboot
Accordi ng to WVC Modem' ser ial port connection, plea se DO NOT disconne ct or install WVC Mo dem to keep the
hardwar e safe when power on . Please refer to the followi ng steps to discon nect:
1. Discon nect WVC Modem pow er plug;
2.7 Disconnect sequence
First you need to disconnect
the power of Modem
2. Discon nect WVC Modem wit h serial port line;
3. Discon nect PC with seria l port line;
4. WVC Mode m disconnected c omplete;
3. Operational environment & fault handling
3.1 Natural environment
WVC Modem i s an ordinary comm unicational trucking de vice, and it would n ot work in good cond ition, or even be
damaged i n a very bad environ ment. Please note that no hig h temperature, n o high humidity an d no ultra‐low
tempera ture working env ironment. waterproof bo xes needed for out door working env ironment, no dir ect sunlight
exposur e and no extremely c old environment without h eat preservati on devices.
3.2 Errors handling
How to d ea l wi th failing to connect devices and monit or in g system online?
There are rea sons about failure to connect as the following be low, please kind ly check:
1. Check th e device driver if s et up correctly. I f use USB TO RS232 it needs to set up the drivers corre ctly. If not,
it will not w ork;
2. Check th e condition of WVC M odem and confirm the gird powe r is steady;
3. Check th e temperture of th e WVC‐Modem . If the tem perature is higher ,pleas e shutdown the pow er and
restart a fter heat dissip ation;
4. All abov e checked and syst em online failure still exi sts, please cont act us and we will sup ply you the
profess ional tsting to yo ur equipment.
How to d ea l wi th one WVC Mod em f ai li ng to communicate cor rectl y in norm al monitoring pro ce ssing?
WVC Modem i s design for 24‐hour w ork and long time with thousa nds times of testi ng. However, WVC M odem
may not com municate corre ctly all the time in the bad condition below: hig h temperature, m oisture, signa l
interfe rence of wireles s and other factors.When it occur to the bad situ ation, please cu t the modem power off
and wait a fe w minutes and then c onnect the power, the probl em can be solved gen erally. Or call ou r local
after‐ser vice branch for su pport and help after trying several times.
