Installation Instructions
Location of indoor unit
1
Keep the air inlet and outlet free from any obstructions.
Keep the height distance between the indoor and outdoor unit within 5m.
If mounted on a wall or suspended from the ceiling ensure they are sturdy enough to bear the weight.
Keep at least 1m away from any electrical appliances.
Location of outdoor unit
2
A firm foundation solid enough to bear the weight of the unit and not cause any shaking. Good ventilation, away from dust, direct rain and direct sunlight.
Do not restrict air flow to the outdoor unit.
void locating equipment close to flammable gas sources.
A If locating the outdoor unit indoors the plenum air extraction box must be used.
Installation of the Indoor Unit
The indoor unit should be floor standing or suspended by its hanging brackets.
Mains power feed is to the outdoor unit - NOT the indoor unit.

Note:
If any of the wires are to be replaced or extended be sure to use identical diameter.
ARNING:
Please use the electric circuit diagram attached to the indoor/outdoor units as main reference whilst installing. The power wire and signal wire between the indoor/outdoor units must be connected one by one as per corresponding number on the wiring terminal board.
The electric box cover must be mounted and secured in position, otherwise fire or electrical shock may occur because of dust or moisture.

1 Remove the wiring terminal cover plate (on the side of the outdoor unit), connect mains lead
(not supplied) to right hand side of terminal block by unscrewing the mounting screws.
2 Loosen the fixing screws on each of the wiring terminals and feed the power communications,
and earth cables through their respective fixing clips before tightening the screws. Earth wire must be connected firmly.

NOTE:
Installation of the drain hose
3
4
The drain hose must be arranged beneath the refrigerant pipe. The drain hose must not be hunched or twisted. The refrigerant pipe and the drain hose must be wrapped up by felt strip. Insulation lagging should be used at where the pipe contacts the wall.

To drain the condensate water easily
6
, the drain hose should follow a downwards gradient.

Do not vent refrigerant into the atmosphere: refrigerant ia a fluorinated greenhouse gas, covered by Kyoto protocol, with a Global Warming Potential (GWP) = 1900(R410A)/1600(R407C)/1700(R22)
Notice:
Make the pipe connection between the indoor and outdoor unit ensuring a tight connection (finger
tightening initially to avoid risk of cross threading).
Remove both brass end caps from the two valves on the outdoor unit – this will reveal an allen key connection on both valves.
Turning anticlockwise – first half unscew the small liquid port valve, you will hear refrigerant gas passing through the small pipe – this will occur for up to 6 seconds.
Repeat the above process for the larger gas valve port.
Return to fully unscrew small liquid port valve.
Return to fully unscrew large gas port valve.
Replace the brass caps firmly.
You should not hear any further refrigerant movement once these steps have been completed
(Apply soapy water to the piping joints to ensure no gas bubbles exist i.e. No leaks should exist).
