Safety Precautions

Detailed safety precautions:

Please read all safety precautions and operating instructions before
attempting to operate the unit. Keep all safety precautions and oper­ating instructions for future reference.

Water and moisture:

Never use your BH|SPK kit in close proximity to water (e.g. bath tubs,
wash basins, sinks, washing machines, pools, etc.).

Damage:

Take care not to drop your BH|SPK parts and do not squeeze the pop­fi lter. JZ Microphones assumes no liability for any damage to any JZ
Microphones product caused by the user.

Service and care:

After using, remove the BH|SPK from its mount and wipe it`s parts
down with a soft cloth and place it back into its protective casing (in­cluded with the microphone). Refer all repair service to qualifi ed and
manufacturer`s appointed personnel. Servicing is required when the
any parts of BH|SPK are damaged in any way, such as liquid has been
spilled or objects have been fallen into the pop-fi lter, the BH|SPK
parts have been exposed to rain or moisture, parts do not fi t each
other normally or has been dropped, sqeezed or bent. The BH|SPK
does not contain any user serviceable parts.

Usage:

BH|SPK is compatible only with JZ BH series microphones. Assemble
BH|SPK parts with care. Check if packing contains all of the items
listed. If any of these items are missing, contact your nearest JZ
Microphones dealer or JZ Microphones directly.

Tip: BH|SPK can be used without the included pop-fi lter as a shock­mount, for example, on acoustic instruments. Any pop-fi lters can
beused with BH series microphones, but we recommend to use BH|SPK
pop-fi lter to keep your sound unaffected.

BH|SPK Set Up

1. Unpack the parts located in BH|SPK cartoon packing and arrange
in following order: shock-mount, craddle, attachment legs, pop­fi lter. First apply the shock-mount on a microphone stand, then
take craddle and mount it on the shock-mount`s rubber bands.
Put upper-right part of rubber band on the upper-right BH|SPK
craddle`s metal pin and stretch lower-right rubber band until you
can mount it on the lower-right BH|SPK craddle`s metal pin. Do the
same with the left side and you are ready to apply fi rst attachment
legg to BH|SPK craddle (see pictures)

2. Take one attachment leg and put it`s longest part into the hole
in the upper-right side of your craddle. Regulate the leg vertically
and tighten the screw as shown in the picture. Do the same with
2nd attachment leg on the left side and you are ready to apply the
pop-fi lter on the attachment legs (see pictures)

3. Take your pop-fi lter and carefully put it on the attachment legs.
Tighten the pop-fi lter screws shown in the picture. When it is done,
take your BH series microphone and mount it on the craddle. Posi­tion the microphone`s head center to the pop-fi lter`s center and
tighten the screw on the craddle to fi x the position of your micro­phone and check if mic sits safely on the craddle (see pictures)

All BH|SPK shock-mount and pop-fi lter kits come in a cartoon box.
BH|SPK is compatible only with BH series microphones. BH|SPK can be
used without the included pop-fi lter as a shock-mount.

JZ Microphones has made a shock-pop kit (BH|SPK) for
BH series microphones which is very compact when
the microphone is mounted on it avoiding unwanted
reverberations which can appear when large spider type
shock-mounts are used.

The pop fi lter made for BH series is very unique
due to its special cone shape and special screen construc­tion. When applied, BH|SPK helps to reduce presence of
various unwanted frequencies in the mix compared to
standard pop fi lters and gives amazing results avoiding
plosive sounds coming to the capsule.
