Installing the GPS antenna

Beneath a non-metallised* window, fix the double sided
tape on the dashboard, then place the antenna on the mat.

• Make sure that the antenna is not covered by any

components and parts of the car and it can receive the
signals from all directions.
* The windows with screen antenna, windscreen

heating or thermally insulated screens will interfere
with GPS reception, and will degrade the reliability of
the Navigation System.

• People who use pacemakers should avoid a physical

contact with the magnetic antenna and should not
handle it themselves. This causes malfunctions of the
pacemakers.

• The antenna should be attached so firmly that it cannot

be detached in the event of a collision or sudden
braking.

• Do not install the GPS antenna outside the car. The GPS

antenna is not water-proof and is indoor-use only.

• The GPS antenna should be installed at a position

that is spaced at least 30 cm from cellular phone or
other transmitting antennas. Signals from the GPS
satellite may be interfered with by these types of
communication.

• Clean your dashboard or other surface.
