PK-VS4MS Mechanical Shutter
for the DLA-SH7

Introduction
This document is designed to provide guidance for installing a PK-VS4MS Mechanical Shutter on a JVC
DLA-SH7 projector.

The following parts are included with the PK-VS4MS Mechanical Shutter kit:

• #2 Philips screw driver

Safety Precautions

safeguards incorporated into this product, observe the following basic rules for its installation, use and
service. Please read carefully before use.
• To install this hardware, special expertise and skills are necessary. Be sure to ask our aut h or i zed
dealer (or a technician) to install the lens. Installation by personnel without the necessary expertise
and skills may result in injuries or electric shock.
• Do not look into the projection lens while the illumination lamp is turned on. Exposure of your eyes
to the strong light can result in impaired eyesight. Pay particular attention to keep out of reach of
children.
• Do not modify the lens. Modifying the lens may cause fire or electric shock.
• Connect the power cord only after all necessary equipment has been connected. Connecting the
equipment with the power cord plugged into the outlet may cause electric shock.

Procedure
1. Lossen three Philips head screws on the left side of the lens to about ¼” depth and remove six
Philips head screws on the right side of the front cover.
Remove Loosen
2. Remove small connector plate (2 screws).
3. Connect the cable from the PK-VS4MS into the connector behind the opening.

4. Align the slots on the left side of the PK-VS4MS with the loosened screws to the left of the lens
and slide the PK-VS4MS until it is fully engaged behind the screws. Do not tighten until the right
side is secured.
5. Secure the right side of the PK-VS4MS to the projector using the three screws removed in Step 1,
and then tighten the three screws on the left side of the PK-VS4MS. End.
