INTENDED USE — The 8" Wafer™ LED re cessed downlight w ith remote driver box co mbines high qualit y
light output and efficiency while eliminating the housing for competitive affordability. This innovative
wafer-slim Type I C design allows easy in stallation for ne w constructio n or remodel from be low the ceiling
without t he require ment of a housi ng. The LED modu le maintain s at least 70% ligh t output fo r 50,000 hour s.
These Wafer LED downlights are intended for basements,soffits,entryways,stairwells, corridors, hospitals,
multi-family, and commercial projects.
CONSTRUCTION — IC rated driv er and fixture - ap proved for dire ct contac t with insulatio n. Aluminum die
cast out er frame. Du rable, powd er coat paint t o prevent ru st. Round fi xture w ith integ ral edge- lit LED's. Stee l
spring cli p for easy ins tallation. Pl enum rated ca ble connec tor to connec t from mod ule to remote dri ver box.
Isolated dr iver integrated ins ide steel remote box wi th four 7/8" knockouts wit h slots for pryout. Suitable
for pullin g wires with the 12 cubic-inch w iring compar tment to accommoda te up to (8) 14 gauge insul ated
conductors, or (6) 12 gauge insulated conduc tors; making the Wafer LED Downlight s much easier to wire
in 2in/2out (plus ground) daisy-chain applications and contractor friendly.
INSTALLATION — Ideal for shallow ceiling plenum; no housing required. Steel spring clip for easy
installation. 8" cut out template is provided to ensure the correct size hole is cut into ceiling for proper
installa tion of the trim. S ize of hole should n ot exceed 8 1/4 inches for t his product . Suitable for in stallation
in t-grid an d drop ceiling applic ations. 2" plenum spac e required for ins tallation of the remo te driver box.
OPTICS — Edge- lit LED technolo gy uses light gui ded plate to dist ribute light. Pol ycarbonate lens p rovides
even illumin ation througho ut the space. Utilize d 3000K, 3500K , 4000K and 50 00K color temper ature LEDs.
ELECTRICAL — Multi-volt (120-277V, 50/60Hz) proprietary remote LED driver/splice box, with two
(2) additional low-voltage wires for 0-10v dimming, down to 10% (depending on dimmer model and
applicat ion). High efficient drive r with power fact or > 0.9. Ambient op erating temperat ure: -40°F (-4 0°C)
to +104°F (+40°C). Replace s 100W incan descent.
LISTINGS — CSA certified to US and Canadian safety standards. ENERGY STAR® certified product. Wet
locatio n listed. Air T ight cert ified in acco rdance with A STM E283-2004. Ca n be used to comp ly with Cali fornia
Title 24 par t 6 Hight Efficacy LED lig ht Source Requirem ents.
