Contents of Connector Module Kit
The Mesa Rugged Notepad™ connector
module replacement kit includes the
following items:
Connector module
Four screws
Screwdriver
Instruction sheet
Replacement Instructions
1. Suspend or power off the Mesa.
2. If a hand strap is attached to the Mesa,
remove it.
6. Remove the four screws on the back
of the Mesa that are holding down the
connector module (circled below). Set
these screws aside for reuse.
7. Remove the connector module. A
connector protector is attached to it.

3. Place the Mesa display side down on a
at surface.
4. Remove the eight screws (two on each
corner as shown) that attach the top
I
and bottom bumpers to the Mesa.
5. Carefully remove the bumpers to allow
access to the connector module.
Note: If you have a Geo model, use
caution while removing and installing
the top extended antenna bumper to
avoid damaging the antenna assembly.
8. Remove the connector protector from
the current module and place it on the
new connector module (shown from
the bottom view below). Make sure it is
seated properly on the module.
9. Place the new connector module and
connector protector on the Mesa,
making sure the bottom side of the
connector protector is seated properly
inside the groove on the case back.
10. Insert the four screws into the back of the
Mesa where the module is held in place
and screw them in (reverse of step 6).
11. Put the bumpers back into position. Insert
and screw in eight screws (two on each
corner as shown in step 4) to re-attach
the top and bottom bumpers.
12. Test one or more of the connectors to
make sure the new module is working.
13. Reattach the hand strap if desired.
