IMPORTANTES DE SEGURIDAD
Al utilizar aparatos eléctricos, siempre se deben tomar ciertas medidas
de seguridad, incluidas las siguientes:
1. Lea todas las instrucciones.
2. A fin de protegerse contra el riesgo de un choque eléctrico, no
coloque el cable, los enchufes ni el aparato en agua ni en cualquier
otro líquido.

9. No permita que el cable cuelgue del borde de la mesa o del

Asegúr
ese de que la tapa transparente esté sujeta firmemente en su

12. Asegúrese de presionar el botón (APAGADO) y de desconectar la
juguera del tomacorriente después de cada uso. Asegúrese de que el
motor se haya detenido completamente antes de desarmar el aparato.
13. No meta los dedos ni cualquier objeto en la abertura de la juguera
mientras ésta esté en funcionamiento. Si un alimento queda atascado
en la abertura, utilice el empujador de alimentos u otro pedazo de
fruta o vegetal para empujarlo hacia abajo. Si este método no resulta
útil, apague el motor, desconecte la juguera del tomacorriente y
desármela para retirar el alimento.
14. No utilice el aparato si el filtro está dañado.

IMPORTANTES DE SEGURIDAD
1. Todos los usuarios de este aparato deben leer y comprender este
Manual de instrucciones antes de operar o limpiar el aparato.

3. Preste atención al aparato durante su uso.

ENCHUFE POLARIZADO
(Solamente para los modelos de 120V)
Este aparato cuenta con un enchufe polarizado en el cual un contacto es
más ancho que el otro. Para disminuir el riesgo de un choque eléctrico, el
enchufe encaja en tomacorrientes polarizados en un solo sentido. Si el
enchufe no encaja debidamente en el tomacorriente, inviértalo y trate de
conectarlo de nuevo. Si aun así no encaja, consulte con un electricista
calificado. No trate de modificar el enchufe de ninguna manera.
INSTRUCCIONES RELATIVAS
AL CABLE CORTO
Se proporciona un cable de alimentación corto con el fin de evitar la
posibilidad de que alguien se enrede o se tropiece en uno más largo.
No utilice un cable de extensión con este producto.
ADVERTENCIA SOBRE PLASTIFICANTES
PRECAUCIÓN: Para evitar que se transfieran sustancias plastificantes
desde la superficie del mostrador, de la mesa o de cualquier otro mueble,
coloque posavasos o manteles individuales QUE NO SEAN DE

PANEL DE CONTROL
Esta juguera cuenta con un panel de control exclusivo que ofrece tres opciones
de velocidad: ALTA, MEDIANA y BAJA. Estas tres velocidades aseguran las
revoluciones por minuto óptimas para lograr la eficiencia máxima a la hora de
hacer jugos (eficiencia en cuanto a la cantidad de jugo extraído de frutas y
vegetales). Las velocidades se seleccionan presionando los botones de flecha
ARRIBA/ABAJO en el panel de control.
Se recomienda para frutas y vegetales duros:
zanahorias, raíz de jengibre, remolacha (betabel)
y piña (con cáscara).
Se recomienda para frutas y vegetales firmes:
manzanas, melones, fresas, y para frutas y
vegetales fibrosos o de mucha hoja, tales como
apio y vegetales de hoja verde.
NOTA: Esta es la velocidad predeterminada. La
juguera comenzará a funcionar automáticamente
a la velocidad SP:2 hasta que se seleccione una
velocidad alternativa.
Se recomienda para frutas y vegetales blandos:
cítricos, manzanas, uvas (con tallo), melones,
duraznos (sin carozo) y tomates. Esta velocidad
también se recomienda para frutas y vegetales
maduros que se han ablandado.
Presione el botón para encender o apagar la
juguera, o ponerla en pausa.

ANTES DEL PRIMER USO
La juguera viene armada casi completamente en la caja. Antes del primer uso, se
recomienda desarmarla y lavar las piezas desmontables en agua tibia con un
detergente líquido biodegradable y no abrasivo. Esto ayudará a eliminar todo
rastro de polvo o residuo de fabricación o de envío.
NOTA: La juguera puede llegar con un cartón protector entre el tubo de
alimentación y la cuchilla (dentro del filtro). Retire este y cualquier otro material
protector de empaque antes de usar la juguera.
PRECAUCIÓN: Nunca enjuague ni sumerja la base del motor en agua ni en
ningún otro líquido.
Consulte las INSTRUCCIONES DE ARMADO y de DESARMADO. Asegúrese
de que la juguera esté armada de forma debida y completa antes de su uso.
La juguera no funcionará a menos que esté armada corr
ectamente.
PREPARACIÓN
Preparación de frutas y vegetales para extraer jugo...
• Lave bien todas las frutas y vegetales con un cepillo de cerdas naturales.
Si no va a usar frutas y vegetales orgánicos, se recomienda que utilice un
limpiador biodegradable para eliminar residuos de pesticidas.
• Retire y deseche las hojas exteriores de frutas y vegetales no orgánicos y pele
los que están encerados.
• Separe las secciones que están descoloridas o machucadas.
• Puede dejar la piel de todas las frutas y vegetales (piñas y melones entre
ellos) si lo desea, excepto las naranjas, toronjas (pomelos) y mandarinas
(tangerinas). El aceite que se encuentra en la piel de estas frutas es amargo
y de difícil digestión.
• Retire las semillas de melón cuando sea posible, ya que se escapan por la
parte superior del tubo de alimentación mientras se extrae jugo. Retire
también el carozo de frutas tales como cerezas, peras y duraznos.
• La juguera está diseñada para que la extracción de jugos sea más sencilla
gracias a un tubo de alimentación grande donde caben frutas y vegetales de
gran tamaño. De modo que, en su mayoría, las manzanas, naranjas,
mandarinas, jengibre, remolachas, piñas y melones se pueden insertar
enteros. Asegúrese de que pasen cómodamente por el tubo de alimentación.
Utilice el empujador de alimentos para dirigir las frutas y vegetales con
cuidado a través del tubo.
PRECAUCIÓN: Nunca empuje los alimentos por el tubo de alimentación
con la mano.
• Los vegetales de hoja, el perejil, el pasto de trigo y los brotes deben
amontonarse en forma de bola pequeña y compacta, e insertarse con el
empujador de alimentos.
• Las bananas (plátanos) no son adecuadas para extraer jugo, ya que no
permiten obtener un jugo transparente y los residuos que quedan en el
aparato pueden tapar la malla del filtro.
• Las frutas y vegetales tales como albaricoques, ciruelas, peras, duraznos y
tomates deben estar firmes para obtener los mejores resultados.

FUNCIONAMIENTO
• Asegúrese de que la juguera esté armada de forma completa y debida.
(Consulte la sección INSTRUCCIONES DE ARMADO.)
• Asegúrese de que el filtro esté en su lugar y de que el recipiente de pulpa
esté detrás de la juguera y listo para atrapar pulpa.
• Coloque un vaso debajo de la boquilla para servir jugo.
• Conecte la juguera a un toma de corriente.
• Retire el empujador de alimentos del tubo de alimentación.
• Coloque las frutas o vegetales dentro del tubo de alimentación.
• Para volver a insertar el empujador de alimentos en el tubo de
alimentación, gire el empujador hasta que la hendidura de éste quede
alineada con la guía del tubo de alimentación. El borde estriado debajo del
empujador dirige los alimentos a través del tubo de alimentación y dentro
del filtro.
•
PARA ENCENDER LA JUGUERA:
Presione el botón ENCENDIDO/APAGADO y comience a extraer jugo.
NOTA: La juguera comenzará a funcionar a la velocidad predeterminada
de SP:2 (mediana). Presione los botones ARRIBA/ABAJO para ajustar la
juguera a la velocidad apropiada para cada tipo de fruta o vegetal que se
está utilizando. (Consulte la página 6 para conocer las velocidades
sugeridas.)
La juguera no funcionará si el recipiente de pulpa no está alineado
correctamente con la base de la juguera.

~ Sugerencia útil ~
Para reducir el tiempo de limpieza, forre el recipiente de pulpa con
una bolsa de plástico (como las que usa para comprar frutas y vegetales
en el supermercado).
• PARA APAGAR LA JUGUERA:
Presione el botón (APAGADO). Asegúrese de desconectar la juguera del
tomacorriente cuando no esté en uso.
•
INTERRUPTOR DE SEGURIDAD TÉRMICA
La juguera está equipada con un interruptor de seguridad térmica. Aunque
es poco probable, si llegara a sobrecalentarse, la juguera se apagará
inmediatamente. Si esto sucediera, presione el botón (APAGADO),
desconecte el aparato y permita que la juguera se enfríe antes de seguir
extrayendo jugo.
~ Sugerencia útil ~
Intente alternar los tipos de fruta o vegetal que se utilizan para asegurar una
eficiencia máxima.
PASO CUATRO: Trabe las abrazaderas
Coloque el extremo superior de una de las
abrazaderas sobre la tapa transparente. A
continuación, lleve la abrazadera hacia abajo
mientras ejerce presión sobre el extremo de la
bisagra, hasta que la abrazadera quede
firmemente colocada. Repita este procedimiento
con la abrazadera opuesta.
PASO CINCO: Coloque el recipiente
de pulpa
Coloque el recipiente de pulpa debajo de la tapa
transparente y de la abertura de expulsión de
pulpa. El recipiente de pulpa quedará encajado
al costado de la base del motor.
NOTA: Como medida de seguridad adicional,
el recipiente de pulpa cuenta con un interruptor
magnético interno. La juguera no funcionará
si el recipiente de pulpa no está alineado
correctamente con la base de la juguera.
PASO SEIS: Coloque el empujador
de alimentos
Coloque el empujador de alimentos en el tubo de
alimentación hasta que esté listo para empezar a
utilizar la juguera. Para insertarlo, gírelo hasta
que la hendidura del empujador quede alineada
con la guía del tubo de alimentación.

PASO UNO: Coloque el recipiente de jugo
Coloque el recipiente de jugo sobre la base del
motor de modo que la boquilla para servir jugo
esté al frente (sobre la parte correspondiente de la
base). Alinee las cuatro hendiduras en la parte
inferior del recipiente de jugo con los cuatro pernos
que se encuentran en la base del motor. Coloque el
recipiente de jugo sobre la base del motor de modo
que las hendiduras encajen en los pernos, girando
el recipiente ligeramente si es necesario.
PASO DOS: Coloque el filtro
Tome el filtro por el borde con ambas manos y
céntrelo sobre el eje de la base del motor. Coloque
cuidadosamente el filtro sobre el eje, girándolo
ligeramente hasta que encaje en la posición
correcta;
luego presione firmemente los bordes
del filtro hacia abajo para que quede sujeto.
(Ejerza una presión homogénea a ambos lados del
filtro para asegurar que quede debidamente
colocado.) Una vez colocado, el filtro girará
libremente y no se saldrá del recipiente de jugo.
PRECAUCIÓN: Tenga cuidado al manipular el
filtro. Las cuchillas son extremadamente filosas.
IMPORTANTE: Es esencial que el filtro quede
sujeto. Para ello, presione firmemente los bordes
hacia abajo.
PASO TRES: Coloque la tapa transparente
Coloque la tapa transparente sobre el recipiente de
jugo, de modo que la abertura de expulsión de
pulpa quede sobr
e la boquilla para la pulpa, que
está en el recipiente de jugo.

ASEGÚRESE SIEMPRE DE QUE LA JUGUERA ESTÉ DESCONECTADA
ANTES DE EMPEZAR AARMARLA
Este aparato requiere de poco mantenimiento. No contiene piezas que el
usuario pueda reparar. No intente repararlo usted mismo. Toda reparación
que requiera el desarmado del aparato debe llevarse a cabo por un técnico
calificado.
LIMPIEZA DE LA JUGUERA
LIMPIE LA JUGUERA DESPUÉS DE CADA USO...
• Asegúrese de que la juguera esté desconectada del tomacorriente y siga los
pasos descritos en INSTRUCCIONES DE DESARMADO.
• PARA LIMPIAR LA BASE DEL MOTOR:
No sumerja la base del motor en agua ni la rocíe con agua. Límpiela
únicamente con una esponja o paño húmedo, o con una toalla de papel.
Si utiliza una esponja, limpie la base del motor, los soportes de goma y la
parte inferior de la juguera. Utilice un cepillo de dientes o paño húmedo para
limpiar el eje de la base del motor.
LA JUGUERA DEBE SECARSE AL AIRE ÚNICAMENTE
• Todas las piezas de la juguera (excepto la base del motor) pueden lavarse en
agua tibia y jabonosa con cualquier detergente líquido para platos. NO
UTILICE PRODUCTOS QUE CONTIENEN AMONÍACO O LIMPIADORES
EN POLVO. Estos productos estropean las superficies plásticas, quitándoles
brillo y rayándolas.
• PARA LIMPIAR LA TAPA TRANSPARENTE
Y EL RECIPIENTE DE JUGO:

No use almohadillas o cepillos de metal.

PASO UNO: RETIRE LAS ABRAZADERAS
Tome firmemente el extremo de la bisagra de la
abrazadera y tírelo hacia afuera para destrabarla. Luego
alce la parte superior de la abrazadera hacia arriba y hacia
afuera para separarla de la tapa transparente. Repita este
procedimiento con la abrazadera opuesta.
PASO DOS: Retire la tapa transparente
Tome la tapa transparente por el tubo de alimentación,
álcela y sepárela del recipiente de jugo. Mantenga el
empujador de alimentos en su lugar si se va a guardar
dentro del tubo de alimentación.
PASO TRES: Retire el recipiente de jugo
Tome el recipiente de jugo por los costados con ambas
manos. Con el filtro aún dentro, alce cuidadosamente el

ecipiente de jugo y sepár
elo de la base del motor,
girándolo levemente si es necesario. A continuación,
separe el filtro del recipiente de jugo y límpielo.
PRECAUCIÓN: T

cuchillas son extremadamente filosas.

ASEGÚRESE SIEMPRE DE QUE LA JUGUERA ESTÉ DESCONECTADA
ANTES DE EMPEZAR A DESARMARLA
ALMACENAMIENTO
Guarde la juguera en su caja original o en un lugar limpio y seco. Nunca la
guarde mientras esté conectada al tomacorriente.
Para guardar el cable, utilice el dispositivo que se encuentra en la parte inferior
de la juguera. No enrolle el cable alrededor del aparato de modo que quede
demasiado ceñido. No ejerza presión sobre el cable en el lugar donde ingresa
al aparato, ya que de ese modo podría dañarse o romperse.

• PARA LIMPIAR EL FILTRO:
Utilice un cepillo para destapar los pequeños orificios de la malla del filtro.
Para ello, coloque el filtro debajo del grifo y deje correr el agua mientras le
pasa el cepillo a la malla por dentro y por fuera del filtro.
NOTA: En ocasiones, las piezas desmontables pueden lavarse en una máquina
lavaplatos, pero sólo si
se colocan en la bandeja superior. Sin embargo, es sufi-
ciente si se lavan a diario con agua del grifo tibia (no caliente).
ELIMINACIÓN DE MANCHAS DIFÍCILES
Muchos vegetales, especialmente las zanahorias, contienen carotenoides que
manchan y destiñen. Por lo tanto, se recomienda dejar las piezas manchadas en
remojo toda la noche en una de las siguientes soluciones:
- Jabón biodegradable en agua tibia suficiente para cubrir las piezas
de la juguera.
- 1/4 taza de lejía o blanqueador en un fregadero lleno de agua tibia.
- Agua tibia y vinagre de sidra, en igual proporción
- Media caja pequeña de bicarbonato de sodio en agua tibia suficiente para
cubrir las piezas de la juguera.
NUNCA UTILICE AMONÍACO O SUSTANCIAS ABRASIVAS

~ Sugerencia útil ~
La pulpa puede utilizarse de varias maneras: para hornear pan,
bollitos o tortas, hacer caldo para sopas, para hacer compresas
faciales y como abono para el jardín.

Un ajuste incorrecto entre el filtro y el eje pueden hacer que algunas partes del recipiente de jugo se rocen con el filtro. De ser así,
llame al Departamento de Servicio al Consumidor.
Pruebe con un tomacorriente diferente. Asimismo, deje la juguera
aproximadamente media hora sin encenderla; es posible que se
haya acumulado humedad en la placa de circuitos, lo que hace
que el aparato se apague. Asegúrese de que el recipiente de
pulpa esté alineado correctamente con la juguera de modo que el
interruptor magnético interno esté activado. Si el problema no se
corrige, llame al Departamento de Servicio al Consumidor.
Pruebe con un tomacorriente diferente. Asimismo, intente utilizar
ambos botones de flecha ARRIBA/ABAJO. Verifique que la tapa,
el filtro y el recipiente de jugo estén montados correctamente, que
estén alineados completamente y que el interruptor de seguridad
esté activado. Asegúrese de que el recipiente de pulpa esté alineado correctamente con la juguera de modo que el interruptor magnético interno esté activado.

Intente extraer jugo más despacio, ya que las frutas y vegetales
húmedos tienden a acumularse en la tapa. Para soltar la pulpa,
dé un golpecito ligero al costado de la tapa. Vacíe el recipiente de
pulpa si está lleno.
Es posible que el filtro no estuviera correctamente colocado, con
lo cual se desmontó durante el uso. Llame al Departamento de
Servicio al Consumidor.
Es importante que el filtro quede firmemente montado. Para ello,
intente montarlo mientras el eje está en una posición distinta. Para
retirarlo, gire el recipiente de jugo hacia la derecha.
Esta es una situación aislada que es consecuencia de las variadas
texturas y la humedad de la pulpa de frutas y vegetales. Detenga
la extracción de jugo, quite la pulpa con un cepillo de cerdas
naturales y reanude la extracción alternando distintos tipos de
frutas y vegetales.
Es posible que se haya acumulado pulpa en el filtro. Limpie el
filtro e intente extraer jugo alternando distintos tipos de frutas y
vegetales.
Nota: Debido al poderoso motor de la juguera, es
normal sentir un poco de ruido o vibraciones al encenderla o
cuando se detiene completamente. Todas las jugueras suenan de
manera distinta.
Extraiga el jugo tan despacio como sea posible. Mantenga vacío el
recipiente de pulpa de modo que el aire fluya correctamente por
el aparato.
Extraiga el jugo lentamente de modo que no llene el filtr
o
demasiado rápido. Mantenga vacío el recipiente de pulpa de
modo que el aire fluya correctamente por el aparato.
Extraiga jugo lentamente para evitar que se acumule pulpa
excesiva dentro de la tapa y el recipiente de jugo.

13. Do not put your fingers or other objects into the Juicer opening while
it is in operation. If food becomes lodged in opening, use Food
Pusher or another piece of fruit or vegetable to push it down. When
this method is not possible turn the motor off, unplug Juicer from
electrical outlet, and disassemble Juicer to remove remaining food.

CONTROL PANEL
This Juicer has a unique control panel, offering three speed options: HIGH,
MEDIUM and LOW. These three speeds ensure optimal rpm to provide
maximum juicing efficiency (efficiency describes the amount of juice extracted
from your produce). Speeds are selected by pressing the UP/DOWN Arrow
Buttons on the Control Panel.
Best for harder produce: carrots, gingerroot, beets, and pineapple (with rind).

BEFORE FIRST USE
The Juicer comes almost completely assembled in the box. We suggest taking it
apart and washing the removable parts in warm water with a biodegradable,
non-abrasive liquid detergent before the first use. This will eliminate any traces
of dust or residue from manufacturing or shipping.
NOTE: The Juicer may be shipped with a protective cardboard insert between
the Feed Tube and Cutting Blade (in the Filter Basket). Remove this and any
other protective packaging before using the Juicer.
CAUTION: Never rinse or immerse the Motor Base in water or any other liquid.
Refer to the ASSEMBLY and DISASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS. Make sure the
Juicer is properly and completely assembled before use. The Juicer will not turn
on unless properly assembled.
PREPARATION
Preparing Fruits & vegetables for Juicing...
• Clean all produce thoroughly, using a natural bristle brush. If you are not
using organic produce, we recommend using a biodegradable cleaner to help
remove pesticide residue.
• Remove and discard the outer leaves of non-organic produce and peel any
waxed fruit or vegetable.
• Trim away any discolored or bruised sections.
• The skin may be left on all produce (including pineapple and melons) except
for oranges, grapefruit, and tangerines. The oil found in these skins tastes bitter and difficult to digest.
• Remove melon seeds when possible, as they may escape through the top of
the Feed Tube while juicing. The pits of fruits such as cherries, pears, and
peaches should also be removed.
• The Juicer is designed to make juicing easier with an over-sized Feed Tube to
accommodate larger produce -- so feed most whole apples and oranges, tangerines, ginger, beets, pineapple or melons. Make sure produce can be fed
comfortably into the Feed Tube. Use the Food Pusher to gently direct produce
through the Feed Tube.
CAUTION: Never push produce into the Feed Tube with your fingers.
• Leafy greens, parsley, wheat grass, and sprouts should be bunched up into a
small, tight ball and pushed through with the Food Pusher.
• Bananas are not suitable for juicing; a clear juice cannot be obtained from
them and residue left in the machine can clog the micro-mesh filter screen.
• Produce such as apricots, plums, pears, peaches, and tomatoes should be firm
for best results when juicing.

sample menus, and tips on buying and cleaning your fruit.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
• Make sure that the Juicer is completely and properly assembled.
(See ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS.)
• Make sure the Filter Basket is securely seated and the Pulp Basket is at the
rear of the Juicer, ready to catch pulp.
• Place a glass underneath the Juice Spout.
• Plug the Juicer into an electrical outlet.
• Remove the Food Pusher from the Feed Tube.
• Place produce into the Feed Tube.
• To re-insert the Food Pusher into the Feed Tube, it is necessary turn
the Food Pusher until the groove in the Food Pusher aligns with the rib
on the Feed Tube. The Food Pusher's ribbed bottom edge directs food
through the Feed Tube and Filter Basket.
•
TO TURN THE JUICER ON:
Press the ON/OFF Button and begin juicing. The Juicer will begin
operating at its default setting of SP:2 (Medium). Press the UP/DOWN
Buttons to adjust the Juicer to the appropriate speed for each type of
produce being juiced. (Refer to page 24 for suggested speed settings).
NOTE: You do not have to turn the machine off to change speeds.
The Juicer will not operate if the Pulp Basket is not properly aligned
against the base of the Juicer

~ Helpful Tip ~
To reduce cleaning time, line the Pulp Basket with a plastic produce
bag (the kind you put your produce in at the grocery store).
• TO TURN THE JUICER OFF:
Press the (OFF) Button. Be sure to unplug the Juicer from the outlet
when not in use.
• THERMAL SAFETY SWITCH
Your juicer is equipped with a thermal safety switch. In the unlikely event
of over-heating, it will shut down immediately. If this should happen, press
the (OFF) Button, unplug the machine, and let the Juicer cool down
before resuming juicing.
~ Helpful Tip ~
Try alternating the types of produce being juiced to ensure
maximum efficiency.

STEP FOUR: Lock clamps
Rest the hook-end of the Clamp into position on
the Clear Lid; then firmly pull down on the
Clamp while pushing in on the hinge-end until it
locks securely into place. Repeat for the opposite
Clamp.
STEP FIVE: Position Pulp Basket
Place the Pulp Basket under the Clear lid beneath
the Pulp Ejection Opening. The Pulp Basket will
fit snugly against the side of the Motor Base.
NOTE: The Pulp Basket has an internal magnetic
switch for added safety. The Juicer will not
operate if the Pulp Basket is not properly
aligned against the base of the Juicer.
STEP SIX: Store Food Pusher
Store the Food Pusher in the Feed Tube until you

STEP ONE: Place Juice Bowl
Place Juice Bowl on top of the Motor Base so that
the Juice Spout is to the front (over the intended
part of the Juicer Base). Align the four grooves on
the underside of Juice Bowl with the four posts on
top of the Motor Base. Lower the Juice Bowl onto
the Motor Base so that the grooves fit onto the
posts, rotating slightly if necessary.
STEP TWO: Place Filter Basket
With both hands, grasp the rim of the Filter Basket
and center it over the Motor Base Hub. Carefully
lower the Filter Basket onto the Hub, rotating
slightly until it drops into the proper position; then
firmly press down on the rim of the Filter Basket
to secure. (Be sure to apply pressure the both sides
of the Filter Basket evenly to ensure proper
seating.) When seated properly, the Filter Basket
will spin freely and will not lift out of the Juice
Bowl.
CAUTION: Use care when handling the Filter
Basket; the cutting Blades are very sharp!
IMPORTANT: It is essential that the Filter Basket
is secured by firmly pressing down on its rim!
STEP THREE: Place clear Lid
Place the Clear Lid onto the Juice Bowl so that the
Pulp Ejection Opening on the Clear Lid is over the
Pulp Spout on the Juice Bowl.

This appliance requires little maintenance. It contains no user serviceable parts.
Do not try to repair it yourself. Any servicing requiring disassembly must be
preformed by a qualified appliance repair technician.
CLEANING YOUR JUICER
THE JUICER SHOULD BE CLEANED AFTER EVERY USE...
• Make sure that the Juicer is unplugged from the outlet; then follow the
DISASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS.
• TO CLEAN THE MOTOR BASE:
Do not immerse the Motor Base in water or spray it with water. Clean only
by wiping with a damp sponge, cloth, or paper towel.
Using a sponge, wipe off the Motor Base, rubber feet and the underside of the
Juicer. Use a damp toothbrush or cloth to clean juice from inside the Motor
Base Hub (on top of the Motor Base).
THE JUICER SHOULD BE AIR-DRIED ONLY!
• All Juicer parts (except the Motor Base) are washable in warm, soapy water,
using any liquid dishwashing detergent. DO NOT USE ANY PRODUCTS
CONTAINING AMMONIA OR SCOURING POWDERS -- These products
will dull, scratch or mar the plastic surface.
•
TO CLEAN THE CLEAR LID & JUICE BOWL:
We recommend using a fruit and vegetable brush with natural fibers.
Do not use a metal brush or pad.
USER MAINTENANCE
INSTRUCTIONS
ALWAYS UNPLUG THE JUICER FROM THE OUTLET BEFORE
ASSEMBLING OR REMOVING PARTS AND BEFORE CLEANING.
STEP ONE: REMOVE CLAMPS
Firmly grasp the hinge-end of the Clamp and pull out to
unlock; then lift the top of the Clamp up/out to unhook
from the Clear Lid. Repeat for the opposite Clamp.
STEP TWO: Remove clear Lid
Grasp the Clear Lid by the Feed Tube; lift and remove
from the Juice Bowl. Make sure to hold the Food Pusher
in place if it is being stored inside the Feed Tube.
STEP THREE: Remove Juice Bowl
Grasp the sides of the Juice Bowl with both hands. W
ith
the Filter Basket still inside, carefully lift the Juice Bowl
off of the Motor Base -- rotating slightly if necessary. The
Filter Basket can then be removed from the Juice Bowl
for easy cleaning.
CAUTION: use care when handling Filter Basket; the
cutting Blades are very sharp!

STORAGE
Store the Juicer in its box or in a clean, dry place. Never store the Juicer while it
is still plugged in.
Always use the Cord Storage Wrap located on the underside of the Juicer.
Never wrap cord tightly around appliance. Do not put any stress on cord where
it enters the unit, as this could cause cord to fray and break.
•
TO CLEAN THE FILTER BASKET:
Use a brush to make sure the tiny holes in the mesh filter are not clogged.
This can be accomplished by holding the Filter Basket under a running faucet
while brushing the mesh filter screen from both inside and outside the Filter
Basket.
NOTE: Occasionally, the removable parts may be washed in a dishwasher, only
if they are placed on the top shelf of the dishwasher. However, washing with
warm (not hot) tap water on a daily basis should be sufficient.
REMOVING TOUGH STAINS
Due to the powerful staining properties of the carotenoids that are found in
many vegetables, especially carrots, we suggest soaking the stained parts
overnight in one of the following solutions:
- Biodegradable soap in enough warm water to cover Juicer parts.
- 1/4 cup bleach added to a sink full of warm water.
- 1 part warm water to 1 part cider vinegar.
- 1/2 small box baking soda in enough warm water to cover parts.
NEVER USE AMMONIA OR ABRASIVES!
After soaking overnight, lightly scrub with soft bristle brush and liquid
detergent. NEVER SUBMERGE THE MOT
OR BASE IN WATER OR OTHERS
LIQUID!
~ Helpful Tip ~
The pulp from the Pulp Basket can be used in many different
ways: baking breads, muffins, cakes, soup stocks, compressed
facial packs and garden compost material.
TROUBLESHOOTING (Continued)
POSSIBLE CORRECTION
Improper fit between the Filter Basket and Hub can cause parts
of the Juice Bowl to rub against the Filter Basket. If this is the
case, call Consumer Service.
Try a different wall outlet. Also let Juicer sit for about an hour
without turning it on; moisture may have collected on the circuit
board, causing machine to shut off. Make sure that the Pulp
Basket is properly aligned against the Juicer so that the internal
magnetic switch is engaged. If situation is not resolved, call
Consumer Service.
Try a different wall outlet. Also, try using both the “Hi” and
“Lo” Speed Buttons. Check the Juicer Lid, Filter Basket, and Juice
Bowl to see if they are properly seated, making sure that they are
properly completely aligned and the safety switch is engaged.
Make sure that the Pulp Basket is properly aligned against the
Juicer so that the internal magnetic switch is engaged.

Try juicing slower, as wet produce is more likely to build up in
the Lid. To release pulp, lightly tap on the side of the Lid. Empty
Pulp Basket if full.
Filter Basket may not have been seated correctly, causing it to
become unseated during use. Call Consumer Service.
Snug seating is desirable. To insert, try seating the Filter Basket
on a different Hub position. To remove, turn Juice Bowl in a
clockwise direction.
This may be an isolated situation resulting from the varied
texture and moisture content of the produce. Stop juicing, scrape
off pulp using a brush with natural fibers, and begin again,
alternating types of produce.
Pulp may have built up on the Filter Basket. Clean the Filter
Basket and try alternating different types of produce while
juicing.
Note: Because of the Juicer's powerful motor, a small
amount of noise and/or vibration is normal when the Juicer is
turned on and as it comes to a complete stop. All Juicers will
sound slightly different.
Juice slowly so that the Filter Basket does not fill up too quickly
with juice. Keep Pulp Basket emptied to allow good air flow
through the machine.
Juice the produce as slowly as possible. Keep the Pulp Basket
emptied for good air flow through machine.
Juice slowly to avoid excessive pulp buildup inside the Lid
and Juice Bowl.
