When mixing dough or other heavy mixes, do not exceed 1kg of ingredients or a speed
setting of 2. This table provides an additional guide to the function of the speed settings:

Before first use
1. Remove any labels and/or swingtickets.
2. Follow the instructions for “Cleaning”.

Inserting the Beating attachments
1. Unplug the
Mains Lead and
set the OFF/Speed
switch to the “0”
(OFF) position.
2. Insert the Beater
with Gear into
the Star Attachment
Receptacle on
the underside of the
Mixer Body . Rotate the attachment
until it clicks into place, then push home.
3. Insert the Beater without Gear into
the Circular Attachment Receptacle on
the underside of the Mixer Body . Rotate
the attachment until it clicks into place,
then push home.
Inserting the Dough Hooks
1. Unplug the
Mains Lead and
set the OFF/Speed
switch to the “0”
(OFF) position.
2. Insert the Dough
Hook with Gear
into the Star
Attachment
Receptacle on the
underside of the Mixer Body . Rotate the
attachment until it clicks into place, then
push home.
3. Insert the Dough Hook without Gear
into the Circular Attachment Receptacle
on the underside of the Mixer Body
. Rotate the attachment until it clicks into
place, then push home.
If you wish, you may now use the appliance as a hand mixer, as described in “How to use”.
To use with the stand, follow the instructions in “Using with the stand”
Using with the stand
1. Place the Bowl on the Stand .
2. Press the Tilt/Unlock Button and swing
the Stand Head upwards until it locks.
3. Locate the rear of the Mixer Body
towards the rear of the Stand Head
. Press the Mixer/Unlock Button and
lower the front of the Mixer Body until it
locks to the Stand Head . Release the
Mixer/Unlock Button .
■
If you are going to use immediately, it
is easier to add ingredients to the bowl
before the next step.
4. Press the Tilt/Unlock Button and swing
the Mixer Body and Stand Head
together fully downward.
You may now use the appliance as a stand
mixer, as described in “How to use”.
After use, press the Tilt/Unlock Button
and swing the Mixer Body with the Stand
Head upwards, then press the Mixer/
Unlock Button and tilt the front of the
Mixer Body upwards before lifting away.
How to use
1. Follow the instructions for inserting the
required mixing attachments and, if
required, use with the stand.
2. Place the ingredients to be mixed into the
Bowl .
3. Ensure that the OFF/Speed switch is set
to the “0” (OFF) position.
4. Plug the Mains Lead into a mains
socket.
5. Lower the mixing attachments until they
are well covered by the ingredients to be
mixed and move the OFF/Speed switch
to the required speed setting of “1” to “5”
to mix the ingredients according to your
recipe.

Do not use any utensils such as knives, forks
or spoons in the bowl and do not reach
into the bowl when the mixer is in use. Do
not allow the Mixer Body to come into
contact with the ingredients.
■
The Turbo Button may be used to
increase the mixer speed for short intervals.
■
Do not operate the Mixer for more that
5 minutes continuously at a time, after
which a 4-minute cooling period should be
allowed.
Cleaning
Before cleaning, remove the Mixer Body
from the Stand (see “Using with the
stand” and the Mixing Attachments from the
Mixer (see “How to use”).
1. Wash the Bowl , Beaters &
and Dough Hooks & with liquid
detergent and warm water, rinse and
dry. The beaters and dough hooks are
dishwasher safe.
2. Wipe the outside of the Mixer Body
and Stand with a cloth dampened
slightly with liquid detergent and warm
water, then dry with a dry cloth.

DO NOT IMMERSE ANY PART OF THE
MIXER BODY IN WATER.
■
When using with the stand the bowl will
rotate to achieve uniform mixing.
■
If ingredients spread up the edge of the
bowl, switch OFF and use a wooden or
plastic spatula to move the ingredients
towards the mixing area.
6. When the mixing is completed, return
the OFF/Speed switch to the “0” (OFF)
position and unplug the Mains Lead .
■
If necessary, you may scrape any excess
food mix from the mixing attachments with
a wooden or plastic spatula.
7. If using with the stand, remove the mixer
from the stand, as described in “Using with
the stand”.
8. Grasp the mixing attachments with one
hand, close to the Mixer Body , to avoid
getting food mix on your hand. Press the
Eject Button with your other hand,
to release the mixing attachments for
cleaning.
■
The Eject Button cannot be operated
unless the OFF/Speed switch is in the “0”
(OFF) position; this is a safety feature. Do
not attempt to pull mixing attachments out
of their receptacles.
Mixing Tips
■
It is recommended to start mixing at the
lowest speed and gradually increase the
speed, if required.
■
Do not overmix beyond the recommended
times in your recipe and never exceed 5
minutes continuous mixing.
■
Fold in dry ingredients at the lowest speed,
until only just combined.
■
Refrigerated ingredients, such as butter,
cheese and eggs, should be allowed to
reach room temperature before mixing.
