Cleaning
1. Wear appropriate safety equipment, i.e., safety glasses. Use air to blow excess fertilizer off the
mower and broadcaster after each day's use.
2. Do not oil the opening gate and guides until the end of the season since the fertilizer will
collect, liquify and solidify.
Storage
1. Store/transport broadcaster upside down (on hopper) with moisture cover removed.
2. For off-season storage, clean broadcaster and coat all metal parts with light oil.
Troubleshooting
Symptom Possible Cause Action
Opening gate won’t close completely
Fan won’t run Broken or corroded connection
Fertilizer has solidified in guides
Remove guides and clean them. DO NOT use oil or WD-40 on guides or opening gate.
Check continuity; check for broken wire; clean corroded terminals.
No power to speed control
Check voltage at connector (12 vdc). Check fuse.
Damaged speed control
Power harness must connect directly to battery, not auxiliary circuit. Replace speed control.
Erratic spread pattern Lumps in material. Break up lumps in material.
