• Do not use with damaged cord or plug. If appliance is not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or
dropped into water; bring to a service center for repair.
• Do not pull or carry by cord. Do not use the cord as a handle. Do not close a door on cord or pull cord around sharp edges or
corners. Do not run appliance over cord. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
• Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
• Do not handle plug or appliance with wet hands.
• Do not put any object into openings.
• Do not use with any opening blocked. Keep free of dust, lint, hair and anything that may reduce air flow.
• Keep the filter clean so as to not reduce the airflow.
• Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts.
• Turn off all controls before unplugging.
• Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids such as gasoline or use in areas where they may be present.
• Check that the voltage indicated on the data plate corresponds with that of the local network before connecting the appliance
to the main power supply.
• Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquids
• It is imperative to unplug the power cord after the appliance has been used, before it is cleaned and while being repaired.
• Close supervision is required when using this product near children.
• Repairs to electrical appliances should only be performed by a qualified electrician. Improper repairs may place user at serious

• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
• Do not use without filter in place.
• An appliance that is plugged into an outlet should not be left unattended while in operation.
• A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
• Longer detachable power supply cords or extension cords can be used if care is exercised in their use. If a long, detachable
power-supply cord or extension cord is used: 1) the marked electrical rating of the detachable power-supply cord or extension
cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance. 2) If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension
cord should be a grounding type 3-wire cord. And 3) the longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter
top or table top where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.
• The marked electrical rating of an extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance.
• This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of shock, this plug is intended to be
plugged into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit,
contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.

ASSEMBLY AND USE
Stick Vacuum Use:
1. The telescopic handle can be added to use the vacuum cleaner as a stick vacuum. Insert
the telescopic handle into the hole located at the rear of the vacuum (Fig. 1) until you hear
the “click” indicating the handle is fully in place. To remove the handle fully depress the
handle release button at the back of the unit and pull the handle out of the hole, releasing
the button once the handle is clear of the unit. (g. 1)
2. The telescopic handle can be extended for ease of use and personal preference. To
adjust the length of the handle, push the locking mechanism down while gently pulling on
the lower section of the tube until it reaches the desired length. The handle has a series
of notches which will catch and hold the handle at the length chosen when the locking
mechanism is released (g. 2)
3. To use the oor brush attachment, simply slide the oor brush attachment onto the
intake of the vacuum located at the bottom of the dust collector. (g. 3 & 4)

be used as a handheld vacuum cleaner or as an upright stick vacuum.
Floor brush, hose, crevice tool and upholstery brush can be added by inserting
the desired accessory into the intake of the vacuum cleaner. Simply insert the
accessory in a straight line into the intake of the vacuum cleaner. To remove, pull
out in a straight line.

4. Before use, ensure that you have unwound a sucient length of the power cord then
plug the vacuum into the main power supply. The vacuum has polarized plug that has one
blade wider than the other. The plug is intended to be plugged into a polarized outlet only
one way. If the plug does not t into the plug then reverse the plug and try again. If it still
does not t, contact a qualied electrician to install the proper outlet. Once the vacuum is
plugged in, turn the vacuum on by pressing the On/O switch located on the main body of
the vacuum. (Note: the “O” is the “O” position and the “I” is the “On” position).

Handheld Use:
1. To use the vacuum as a handheld vacuum use without the telescopic handle. (g. 5) (To
remove the handle fully depress the handle release button at the back of the unit and pull
the handle out of the hole, releasing the button once the handle is clear of the unit.
2. You can use the handheld vacuum with the oor brush (Great for stairs!) or with the
extension hose, crevice tool, upholstery brush and extension tubes. (Great for upholstery,
cars and hard to reach places). To use the nozzles; detach the oor brush and t one of
the extra nozzles into the intake of the vacuum cleaner or use the ex hose between the
intake and the nozzle.

Joy’s Super Chic™ Handheld/Stick Vacuum Cleaner is a powerful and ecient yet
lightweight and portable vacuum cleaner. The powerful suction will remove small particles
of dust and dirt from your carpets and upholstery. To prevent the unit from overheating and
to maintain eciency, the lter MUST BE cleaned regularly.
As a safety precaution the motor is designed to stop in the event of overheating. Please
allow the unit to cool suciently before restarting. Main unit can be wiped with a damp
cloth. Do not wash with water. Do not clean with alcohol or gasoline.
How the thermal cut o works: If the dust bin is allowed to become too full this will cause
the motor to over heat. There is a thermal cut o built into the motor that will shut the
motor o when the motor temperature reaches 56⁰C (205⁰F) and the vacuum will shut
off. If this occurs turn off the vacuum, empty the dust bin and wait about 25-30 minutes.

To insert the Forever Fragrant® Discs:
1. Turn the vacuum o and disconnect the unit from the power outlet. Remove any of the
accessories attached to the unit.
2. Separate the dust collector from the main body by turning the dust collector clockwise
to the “unlock” position as indicated on the dust collector unit. Pull the main body apart
from the dust collector.
3. Place one scented disc in the center of the lter holder and put the scent disc retainer
over the disc to hold the disc in place. Turn the retainer ring so that it ts in a at position
and does not rise above the black washer. If it does not t at then you might have the
retainer ring upside down.
4. Reattach the main unit to the dust collector by holding the dust collector unit upright
and tting the main body into the indents while lining up the arrow indicators on the dust
collector and turning to the “lock” position as indicated on the dust collector.

To Empty The Dust Collector:
• Turn the vacuum o and disconnect the unit from the power outlet and remove
any of the accessories attached to the unit.
• Gently pull down on the clip on side of the dust collector. This will allow the
“clean out” door to open and the contents to fall out.
• To close, simply push the access door closed until the latch snaps
shut.
To Clean the Filter:
• Turn the vacuum o and disconnect the unit from the power outlet and remove
any of the accessories attached to the unit.
• Separate the dust collector from the main body by turning the dust collector
clockwise to the “unlock” position as indicated on the dust collector unit.
Pull the main body apart from the dust collector.
• Before removing the lter, take out the Forever Fragrant® discs and retainer
ring.
• Remove the air lter by pulling out of the dust collector unit.
• Regularly remove the lter and shake the loose dust
from the lter surface and return to the dust collector and close.
• Regularly, remove the air lter and rinse well under cold, clean
water and leave to air dry completely.
• Do not wash the lter in a washer machine.
NOTE: The air lter is permantly installed in the lter holder.
The dust collector is transparent to enable you to see
accumulated dirt and debris. DO NOT allow the
bin to fill past the max line. When this happens, the
eciency of the motor unit is reduced and the dust
collector must be emptied and the lter assembly
cleaned. A blocked lter could restrict airow to the
motor which can cause overheating. If this happens,
stop the unit and clean the lter.

with Forever Fragrant®. This product is warranted to be free from defects
in material and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of
one year from the date of original purchase with receipt. The manufacturer’s
obligation shall be limited to repairing or replacing, FOB, NY, any part of the
product that is defective. Such warranty shall not apply to damages resulting
from accidents, abuse or misuse. This warranty is valid only for rst quality
