Monitor (Loudspeaker).
1W, 10 audio output.
Fuses, AC and DC.
AC fuses: 2*1A, 5x20 mm (slow blow)
DC fuse: 4 A, 5x20 mm (slow blow)
AC indicator (Green LED).
Lit when AC power is connected and unit switched on.
DC indicator (Yellow LED).
Lit when internal DC is present, i.e. the transceiver is operated on either AC or DC.
Power ON/OFF switch
.
Main switch to turn on the transceiver.
Carrier indicator (Red LED).
Indicates that there is a RF signal going out on the antenna connector. The intensity of the light varies slightly with the modulation level, that means the LED can be used as an indicator for the modulation level.

Display.
Displays the operating frequency or information when storing or recalling memory channels.
Function switch.
The switch has 4 positions. In OFF position the transceiver is switched off. In CH position 8 different channels can be selected with the SELECT switch. In kHz position the frequency is changed in 25 kHz steps by the SELECT switch. In MHz position the frequency is changed in 1 MHz steps by the SELECT switch.
VOLUME pot. meter.
By turning the knob clockwise the volume of the internal loudspeaker is increased. The knob has no effect on the line output level.
SQUELCH button.
The SQUELCH button toggles the squelch on and off. Squelch level is preset by an internal pot. meter.

➀➀➀➀
Antenna connector (N-type)
The antenna connector should be connected to a 50 antenna. The VSWR of the antenna must be less than 3:1, preferable less than 2:1 for a well performing system.
REMOTE CONNECTOR (25 pin D-SUB)
The remote connector contains the necessary signals for interfacing the radio to remote equipment. The connector has the following pin configuration.
PIN NO
1 SIDETONE OUTPUT
The sidetone output is a high impedance output which can be used to monitor the transmitted audio. The signal is the AC component of the demodulated signal when the transceiver is keyed.
2 REMOTE KEY DC INPUT
The remote key in is used to key the transceiver in the remote position. The key signal must be a DC voltage between 5 and 30V referred to GND (pin 14). The transceiver is keyed when the DC voltage is applied.
3/4 600 LINE INPUT/OUTPUT
The 600 line contains the received audio in receive mode and the audio to be transmitted in transmit mode. The transceiver must be in REMOTE position to use the line. The transceiver can also be keyed with this line by using line loop keying (making a DC path between the two lines).
