Scooter Instruction Manual
• Failure to follow these instructions could result in serious injury or death.
• Never leave child unattended.
• Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out.
• Always use safety belts and ensure the child is positioned according to these instructions.
• Be certain that the stroller is fully opened, the primary lock is secured and the wheel brakes are on before allowing children near the stroller.
• The maximum weight of the child that can be seated in the stroller is 55 lbs.
• Use of the stroller with a child weighing more than 55 lbs. will cause excessive wear and stress on the stroller and may cause a hazardous unstable condition.
• Never allow a child to step on the footrest to get into or out of the stroller.
• Do not use the stroller on stairways or escalators.
• Keep children away from the front of the stroller when folding.
• Hanging purses, shopping bags, parcels, diaper bags or other accessory items from the handles or any other parts of the stroller may change the balance of the stroller and cause a hazardous unstable condition.
• The maximum weight that can be carried in the storage basket is 5 lbs. Excessive weight may result in a hazardous unstable condition.
• The total weight that can be placed in the zipper pocket should be less than 1 lb.
• The total weight that can be placed in the cup holder should be less than 1 lb.
• Never carry hot beverages or open containers in the cup holder.
• The total weight that can be placed in the in-seat mesh pockets should be less than 2 lbs.
• The maximum weight that can be carried in the tray is 2 lbs.
• Never allow your stroller to be used as a toy.
• Discard all packaging materials properly. Do not allow children to play with them.
• Check your stroller for loose rivets, snaps, worn parts, and torn material or stitching on a regular basis.
• Discontinue use of the stroller should it malfunction or become damaged.

1 Unpacking the Product
• Remove everything from the box and identify the parts using Figure 1.1. (not to scale)

• Discard all packaging materials properly including plastic coverings.
• DO NOT allow children to play with any packaging materials.

This package contains small parts. Keep all small parts away from children during assembly.
2 Unfolding the Stroller
• Keep children away from stroller while unfolding.
• Release the folding lock latch located on the right side by lifting the latch off of the extended rivet. See Figure 2.1.
• Lift up on the handle bars until the stroller unfolds and locks into position. See Figure 2.2.
CAUTION: While unfolding the stroller, be careful to keep your ngers from being pinched by moving parts.
NOTE: Remove packing foam from rear frame assembly to ensure stroller locks in the open position.

WARNING
ALWAYS keep children away from the stroller when unfolding.
5 Front Wheel Locks
• The front wheels can be set to lock by rotating the locking rings towards the center of the stroller or swivel by rotating the locking rings
outward, towards the sides of the stroller. See Figure 5.1.
7 Installing and Operating the Canopy
• Attach the canopy clamps to each side of the stroller frame (above the elbow joint) by pushing the clamps until they snap into place. See Figure 7.1.
• Above the canopy clamps, attach the Velcro® strips onto the stroller frame. See Figure 7.2.
• Wrap the Velcro® straps located inside the rear of the canopy around the thin metal bar found just above the seat. See Figure 7.3.
• To open and close the canopy, pull or push the front of the canopy to the desired position. See Figure 7.4. NOTE: The top rear portion of the canopy has a roll back window. To open, pull the forward edge up, roll the ap back and secure it using
the T and elastic strap.
• To remove the canopy, unfasten the Velcro® from the frame and metal bar. Then, pull off the canopy clamps. See Figure 7.5.

WARNING
Possible pinching hazard - Be careful of the side hinges when opening and closing the canopy.
6 Rear Wheel Brakes
• Always engage rear brakes before placing child in or removing a child from the stroller.
• To engage the brakes, push down on the brake lever to engage the brakes and lift up the brake lever to release the brakes. See Figure 6.1.
• Check that the brake is engaged by pushing and pulling the stroller forward and backward.

WARNING
Always engage the parking brake when the stroller is not being pushed so that it will not roll away. Never leave stroller unattended, especially
on a hill or incline, as the stroller may tip over or slide.
3 Installing the Rear Axle Assembly and Rear Wheels
• Flip the stroller upside down.
• Take the rear axle assembly and slide it onto the rear legs with the link brake facing the rear of the stroller. Be sure to slide each side all the
way on until the push pins are engaged in the holes of the plastic. See Figure 3.1.
NOTE:
You may need to push each of the push pins in to slide the plastic into place.
• Pull on the rear axle assembly to ensure it is secure.
To Install the Rear Wheels See Figure 3.2 and follow the next steps for each wheel
• Slide a small washer onto the axle.
• Place a rear wheel onto the axle over the small washer. NOTE: The brake teeth on the wheel should be facing inward toward the brake lever.
• Place large washer onto the axle over the wheel.
• Slide a spring washer onto the axle.
• Slide another large washer and slide it onto the axle.
• Take a snap pin and insert the straight leg into the small hole in the axle. Push it rmly into this hole until the round portion of the other leg
snaps completely around the outside of the axle.
• Install a hubcap onto the wheel then push it into place. Ensure that the hubcap cannot be pulled off.
• Repeat the SAME installation sequence of washers, wheel, snap pin, and hub cap for the other wheel.
4 Installing/Removing Front Wheels
• Tilt the stroller so it is resting on the rear wheels and the handle bar.
• Push the front wheels into the front wheel posts until they click in place. See Figure 4.1.
• Pull on the wheels to ensure they are secured.
• To remove a front wheel, press the release tab, then pull the wheel off. See Figure 4.2.

9 Securing the Front Seated Child
• There are three height adjustment positions for the shoulder harness. Adjust the height to the closest height above your child’s shoulders.
• To remove the shoulder harness, turn the plastic ends sideways and push them through the slots in the seatback. Reattach the harness at
the proper height by reinserting the plastic ends through the slots. See Figure 9.1. Ensure both straps are the same height.
• To remove the crotch strap, turn the plastic end sideways and push it through the slot in the seat bottom. Reattach the crotch strap by
pushing the plastic end down through the slot.
• Remove the waist straps by sliding the strap through the small opening in the metal D-ring, then pull the strap away from the seat.
See Figure 9.2. Reattach by pushing the metal-D ring through the slot in the seat, wrap the strap around the seat rear tube. Slide the strap
through the small opening of the metal D-Ring and pull the strap to secure it to the tube. Repeat for the other end of the strap
• To unlatch the buckle press the center button and remove the male ends of each buckle. See Figure 9.3.
• Carefully place the child in the seat with the shoulder straps over their shoulders and chest. Then place the crotch strap between the child’s
legs.
• Bring the shoulder/waist buckles into the crotch buckle until the shoulder/waist buckles snap into place. See Figure 9.4.
• Tighten the waist belt to be snug around the child’s waist.
• The shoulder, waist, and crotch straps may be adjusted using the sliding buckles on these straps.
10 Installing/Removing the Bumper Bar
• Position the bumper bar so that the notches on the metal tabs are on top. See Figure 10.1. Then line up the metal tabs with the slots on the
stroller and push them in until the bumper bar clicks in to place. See Figure 10.2.
• Pull on the bumper bar to ensure it is secure.
• To remove the bumper bar pull out on the tabs on each side to release the bar. Then pull the bumper bar away from the stroller.
See Figure 10.3.
• The bumper bar fabric cover can be removed for cleaning. To remove the fabric cover, simply open the zipper on the inside of the fabric
cover and pull the cover off of the bumper bar.
• To place the cover back onto the bumper bar, t the cover over the bumper bar with the zipper facing inward and close the zipper completely.
11 Adjusting the Handlebar
The can be adjusted to many several angles.
• To adjust the handlebar press the 2 buttons located on both sides of the handlebar. See Figure 11.1.
• While still pressing the 2 buttons, adjust the angle of the handlebar to the desired position and then let go of the buttons.
14 Using the Footrest
• To set the footrest in the up position, pull the footrest ap up and pull the fabric out of the pocket. See Figure 14.1.
• Wrap the Velcro® strap around the bumper bar. See Figure 14.2.
• To put the footrest in the down position, release the Velcro® strap and place the fabric back into the footrest pocket.
12 Attaching/Removing the Cup Holder
The cup holder can be attached by sliding the cup holder down onto the plastic mount (found on the right side of the stroller). Slide down, until it snaps into place. Slide the cup holder up to remove. See Figure 12.1.

WARNING
Always use the crotch strap in combination with the waist belt. Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out. Always use the seat belt and
harness. The seat is not suitable for children under 3 months.
13 Storage Basket
The maximum weight that can be carried in the storage basket is 5 lbs. The rear of the basket has a zippered door for easier access to the basket.
8 Seat Recline Positioning
The front seat can be adjusted to numerous positions. This seat should only be used for a child that is at least 3 months old. For children between 3 and 6 months, only use the fully reclined position.
• To recline the seat, grasp the buttons on the top and bottom of the recline mechanism and gently pull towards the rear of the stroller until
the seat is in the desired position. See Figure 8.1.
• To adjust the seatback to a more upright position, pull the straps at the end of the recline mechanism rearward while pushing the mechanism
forward until the seatback is in the desired position. See Figure 8.2.
NOTE: To get the seat into the most upright position, you may need to push the seat toward the front of the stroller before pulling the straps.

WARNING
Whether the seat is upright or reclined, ALWAYS make certain that the recline mechanism is engaged before placing the child into the seat.
17 Installing/Removing the Tray (OPTIONAL)
• Remove the bumper bar.
• Position the tray so that the notches on the metal tabs are on top. See Figure 17.1. Then line up the metal tabs with the slots on the stroller and push them in until the tray clicks in to place. See Figure 17.2.
• Pull on the tray to ensure it is secure.
• To remove the tray pull out on the tabs on each side to release the tray. Then pull the tray away from the stroller. See Figure 17.3.
18 Installing/Removing the Car Seat Adapter (OPTIONAL)
NOTE: The car seat adapter can ONLY be used with Graco® & Chicco® car seat models. See insert for specic models.
• Remove the bumper bar or tray.
• Recline the seat all the way down.
• Position the adapter so that the notches on the metal tabs are on top. See Figure 18.1. Then line up the metal tabs with the slots on the stroller and push them in until the adapter clicks in to place. See Figure 18.2.
• Pull on the adapter to ensure it is secure.
• The car seat should be positioned onto the adapter so that it is facing toward the rear of the stroller. Lower the car seat into the adapter until it clicks into place. See Figure 18.3. Pull up on car seat to ensure it is secure.
• To remove the car seat, pull the release lever (the same lever used to release the car seat from its base) and lift up.
• To remove the adapter, rst remove the car seat, then pull out on the tabs on each side of the adapter to release. Then pull the adapter away
from the stroller. See Figure 18.4.
NOTE: The adapter must be removed when folding the stroller.
15 Removing/Installing the Double Sided Seat Pad
The stroller comes with a double sided seat pad. One side is a eece material for warmth and the other is cool nylon.
• To remove the seat pad, rst remove both the shoulder straps. See Section 9.
• Feed the buckle ends of the waist straps through the seat pad. See Figure 15.1.
• Separate the Velcro® strip located behind the top of the seat back. See Figure 15.2.
• Remove the double sided seat pad.
• To reattach the seat pad, rst lay the pad on the seat with the desired side up. Attach the Velcro® strip behind the top of the seat back.
• Reattach the shoulder straps. See Section 9.
Feed the buckle ends of the waist straps back through the seat pad.
16 Folding the Stroller
• Keep children away from stroller while folding.
• Close the canopy.
• Put the front seat into the most upright position.
• Stand behind stroller’s handlebar.
• While pushing in the secondary lock button on the side of the right trigger, pull upward on the trigger mechanisms on both sides of the stroller and push the handle down. See Figure 16.1. Then pull up on the fabric handle on the seat bottom. See Figure 16.2.
CAUTION: While folding the stroller, be careful to keep your ngers from being pinched by moving parts.
• Ensure that the folding lock, on the right side of the strooler, engages over the extended rivet. See Figure 16.3.

ALWAYS keep children away from the stroller when folding.

WARNING
The tray is not a restraint device. Always secure your child with the seat belt. Never lift the stroller by the child tray. Use caution when attaching
the tray when there is a child seated in the stroller.

WARNING
ALWAYS install the infant car seat so that the child is facing the rear (handle) of the stroller with the restraining straps secured.
ALWAYS position the infant car seat so that it is securely placed down inside the infant car seat adapter frame.

Maintenance
All of the ttings, snaps, locks, rivets, and other hardware and plastic parts on the stroller should be inspected periodically to ensure that they
are secured properly and not damaged or malfunctioning. The safety harness, as well as all other straps and fabric items and their stitching should also be inspected periodically to ensure that they are secured properly and not loose, torn or otherwise damaged. All moving parts, such as wheels, brakes, and hinges should also be checked periodically to ensure they are operating properly.
Any missing, broken, or worn components should be replaced immediately, and the stroller should not be used until they are replaced. Only
original manufacturer’s components should be used. If needed, please contact Joovy at our toll-free phone number.
Cleaning
The fabric material on this stroller can be cleaned using mild household soap or detergent and warm water on a sponge or clean cloth. Always allow the fabric to completely air dry before using the stroller.
The frame and wheels should always be kept clean and free of dirt and foreign matter, especially after operating the stroller in rain, snow, or other harsh environments. Use a sponge or cloth dampened with warm water and a mild detergent cleaner to clean the wheels after such use.
