FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS ARE FOR THE BASSINET

!

WARNING

Please read these instructions carefully before use and keep them for future reference.

• Failure to follow these warnings and the instructions could result in serious injury or death.

• FALL HAZARD: To help prevent falls, do not use this product when the infant begins to push up on hands and

knees or weighs over 15 lbs. (6.8 kg), whichever comes rst.

• SUFFOCATION HAZARD: Infants have suffocated:

• In gaps between extra padding and side of the bassinet/cradle

• On soft bedding

• Use ONLY the mattress pad provided by Joovy.

• NEVER add a pillow, comforter, or another mattress for padding.

• To reduce the risk of SIDS, pediatricians recommend healthy infants be placed on their back to sleep, unless
otherwise advised by your physician.

• If a sheet is used with the pad, use only the one provided by Joovy which is specically designed to t the

dimension of this bassinet mattress.

• Strings can cause strangulation! DO NOT place items with a string around a child’s neck, such as hood strings or
pacier cord. DO NOT suspend strings over bassinet or attach strings to toys.

• Use bassinet with only one child at a time on each side.

• NEVER place a child under the bassinet.

• The bassinet must be fully assembled per Joovy’s instructions before using. Do not modify the bassinet or add any
attachments not specically recommended by Joovy.

• DO NOT store the bassinet in the playard while in use.

• The bassinet is designed for use ONLY on this Joovy playard. DO NOT use on any other product or surfaces.

1 Unpacking the Product

• Remove everything from the box and identify the parts using Figure 1.1 (not to scale).

A: bassinet, B: changing table, C: bassinet divider, and documents (not shown).

• Discard all packaging materials properly including plastic coverings.

• DO NOT allow children to play with any packaging materials.

2 Assembling and Installing the Bassinet

• With the playard erected and any accessories removed, remove the mattress from the bottom of the playard to use inside your bassinet.
Set the mattress aside.

• Unfold the bassinet and position it so the plastic rail attachments are at the top.

• Secure all plastic rail attachments onto the top rails of the playard so they are directly adjacent to the plastic corners. The longer

attachments should be on the at rails, and the shorter attachments should be on the curved rails. See Figure 2.1.

• Locate the support tubes sewn into the bassinet. Position them so that they stretch across to the opposing tube and connect each line.
See Figure 2.2. There should be three connected supports total.

• Cover each tube by stretching the fabric over and attaching the Velcro®. See Figure 2.3.

• Place the mattress of your playard into the bassinet support with the soft side facing up.

• Ensure the boards in the mattress cross the metal tubes of the bassinet in the indicated direction. See Figure 2.4.

• Secure the four square Velcro® attachment points on the corners of the mattress to the bassinet support.

3 Using the Bassinet as a Twin Bassinet

• If you would like to use your bassinet as a twin bassinet, install the bassinet divider by lining up the zippers and zipping it up on both sides.
See Figure 3.1. Ensure the divider is secure.

WARNING

Please read these instructions carefully before use and keep them for future reference.

• Failure to follow these warnings and the instructions could result in serious injury or death.

• FALL HAZARD: To prevent death or serious injury, always keep child within arm’s reach.

• Never leave child unattended.

• The changing table is designed for use ONLY with this Joovy playard. DO NOT use on any other products or
surfaces.

• The weight limit for the changing table is 25 lbs. (11 kg). DO NOT use changing table as storage.

• DO NOT use changing table as a sleeping or play area.

• DO NOT use changing table if it is damaged or broken.

• STRANGULATION HAZARD: Child can lift the changing table and get neck caught between changing table and
playard frame. ALWAYS remove changing table when child is in the playard.

• Before each use, make sure the changing table is properly secured by pushing down rmly in the center of the

changing table.

4 Installing and Using the Changing Table

• Ensure the playard is erected properly. The changing table can be used with or without the bassinet attached. The changing table comes
fully assembled and ready for use.

• Rotate the changing table over onto the top rails. Firmly snap the changing table attachment clamps onto the at rails of the playard. See

Figure 4.1. You will need to push down forcefully on each side to snap the attachments into place. Check to ensure all four attachments
are secured on the rails.

NOTE: If bassinet is not installed, attach changing table directly onto the at rails of the playard.

• Attach the extra side clamps to the nearest side of the playard. See Figure 4.2.

• Carefully lay the child on the changing table and use the buckle to secure the restraint strap around the child’s waist. The strap can be
adjusted to t the child properly.

• When not in use, the changing table can hang off the the side of the playard without getting in the way of the bassinet. See Figure 4.3.

5 Disassembling the Changing Table

• The changing table can be disassembled for machine washing.

• Completely unzip the zipper on the back of the changing table. See Figure 5.1.

• Pull each attachment clamp through its respective hole in the changing table fabric so that the fabric comes away from the frame. See

Figure 5.2.

TIP: It may be easier to start with the attachment clamps on the long side, and then progress to the clamps on the shorter sides.

• Unzip the secondary zipper on the back of the changing table and remove the board from within. See Figure 5.3.

• The changing table frame can be disassembled for storage or travel. Press down on the pin and pull the frame rods away from each other.
See Figure 5.4. Repeat for the other side.

• The fabric of the changing table can be put safely in the washing machine. Do NOT place assembly rods or board in the washing machine.

• To reassemble the changing table, simply reverse these steps.

Maintenance

All of the ttings, locks, rivets, and other hardware and plastic parts on the playard should be inspected periodically to insure that they are

secured properly and not damaged or malfunctioning. The straps and fabric items and their stitching should also be inspected periodically to
ensure that they are secured properly and not loose, torn or otherwise damaged. All moving parts, such as wheels, and hinges should also
be checked periodically to ensure they are operating properly.

Any missing, broken, or worn components should be replaced immediately, and the playard should not be used until they are replaced. Only

Cleaning

The fabric material on this product can be cleaned using mild household soap or detergent and warm water on a sponge or clean cloth.
Always allow the fabric to completely air dry before using the product.

1 Déballer le produit

• Vider la boîte et s’assurer d’avoir toutes les pièces illustrées à la Figure 1.1 (non à l’échelle)

A: couchette, B: table à langer, C: diviseur de couchette, et documents (non illustrés).

• Jeter tous les emballages de façon appropriée, y compris les éléments de recouvrement en plastique.

• Ne PAS laisser un enfant jouer avec les emballages.

2 Assemblage et installation de la couchette

• Avec le parc de bébé installé et tout accessoire retiré, enlever le matelas du bas du parc de bébé an de l’utiliser dans votre couchette.
Mettre le matelas de côté.

• Dépliez la couchette et placez-la de façon à ce que les xations du rail de plastique se trouve au haut.

• Fixez toutes les xations du rail de plastique rail sur les rails supérieurs du parc, de façon à ce qu’elles soient directement adjacentes
aux coins de plastique. Les xations les plus longues devraient se trouver sur les rails plats, et les xations les plus courtes devraient se

trouver sur les rails recourbés. Voir Figure 2.1.

• Localisez les tubes de soutien cousus à même la couchette. Positionnez-les de façon à ce qu’ils traversent jusqu’au tube opposé et qu’ils

soient reliés à chaque ligne. Voir Figure 2.2. Il devrait y avoir trois soutiens connectés au total.

• Couvrez chaque tube en étendant le tissu au-dessus et en posant le Velcro®. Voir Figure 2.3.

• Placez le matelas de votre parc dans le soutien de la couchette, la partie souple face vers le haut.

• Vériez que les panneaux du matelas croisent les tubes métalliques du moïse dans la direction indiquée. Voir Figure 2.4.

• Posez les quatre points de xation en Velcro® aux coins du matelas sur le soutien de la couchette.

3 Utilisation de couchette comme couchette double

• Si vous souhaitez utiliser votre couchette en tant que couchette double, installez le diviseur de couchette en alignant les fermetures
éclairs et en les fermant des deux côtés. Voir Figure 3.1. Assurez-vous que le diviseur est bien xé.
