3. Place all parts on a level work surface. Slide hood (I) up cord (H) to expose socket.
4. Install one 13W Max. CFL, GU24 bulb (included) into socket (N).
5. Un-thread wing nut (J) from tube (L) and slide it up the cord so it’s out of the way.
6. Remove shade bracket (K) from tube (L) and turn it so it’s parallel to the socket assembly as shown in Fig. 1. Place the socket assembly and the bracket into glass shade (O) as shown in Fig.2.
7. Once the parts are inside the shade, place shade bracket (K) back onto tube (L). Slide wing nut (J) back down the cord and thread it onto tube (L) to secure the position of bracket (K). Carefully lift the fi xture by the cord as shown in Fig. 3.
8. Slide hood (I) back down the electrical cord until it rests on glass shade (O).
9. Remove mounting plate (B) from canopy (D) by un-threading screws (E). Set screws (E) aside.

11. Measure desired drop for fi xture to hang.
12. From inside canopy (D), loosen screw (G) on wire clamp (F). Guide cord through hole in canopy (D) and slide it to the position of desired drop. Pass cord through clamp (F) and tighten screw (G) as shown in Illustration (A). If necessary, cut excess cord, leaving 5 or 6 inches of length for wire connections.
13. Lift canopy (D) to ceiling outlet box; make proper electrical connections noted in steps 14 - 16. A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN IS RECOMMENDED.
14. Attach ground wire from fi xture (green or copper in color) to ground wire from outlet box. Fasten wires together with wire nut (F) and tightly wrap connection with electrical tape.
15. Attach hot wire from fi xture (black in color or smooth side of wire) to hot wire from outlet box. Fasten wires together with wire nut (F) and tightly wrap connection with electrical tape.
(O)
16. Attach neutral wire from fi xture (white in color or ribbed side of wire) to neutral wire from outlet box. Fasten wires together with wire nut (F) and tightly wrap connection with electrical tape. Gently push wire connections back into the ceiling outlet box.
17. Place canopy (D) fl ush against ceiling. Use canopy screws (E) to attach the canopy to the mounting plate.
