A few words about your drink mixer…

Your new drink mixer is the result of years of research combined with our love for what we
do. We would like to thank you for your choice, being confident that you will have a
valuable partner for many-many years to come. With the drink mixer JOHNY you can
prepare not only iced coffee but also milkshakes, cocktails, smoothies e.t.c. Prior to your
first use of the drink mixer we would recommend you to read this manual carefully.

Choice of place…

Your drink mixer should be used on a level, stable surface away from water. Power should
be supplied directly from an AC power socket, suitable to the plug of the mixer and to its
voltage rating, while the use of extension cords should be avoided. In case of power cord
(mains cable) damage, this must be replaced by the manufacturer or by an authorized
technician, to avoid the danger of a bad connection. Make sure that the area where your
mixer is installed and operates is dry and free of any grease.

Operation…

As with all equipment, your drink mixer should be used by adults familiar with its operation.
The drink mixer should never be used with wet hands. Place all ingredients in the special
cup supplied with the mixer, without overfilling. Insert the stirrer in the cup and turn the
appliance on using the switch located on the top of the mixer, choosing the required speed.
The mixer stops when the cup is removed from its support, since the appliance is equipped
with a microswitch. Besides the basic 2-speed model (AK/2-2TA), also available are the
models with the 5-speed switch (AK/2-5TA) and with the TIMER switch for the automatic
operation of the mixer, programming the running time up to 99 seconds (AK/2-2TA TIMER).
For the types AK/2-2T PR and AK/2-5T PR there is a differentiation only on the cup and the
cup supports. At the end of the day the appliance must be unplugged.

A few hygiene rules

When designing your drink mixer great attention was given to the European standards of
hygiene. The stirring shaft is made of stainless steel, the head of the mixer is completely
sealed and at the stirring point (agitator) there are no edges or corners where food residues
could accumulate and harmful bacteria could harbour. However, besides the great care
taken by the manufacturer, it would be worthwhile to remind you of the simple and useful
hygiene rules that you should follow.

First of all, for the cleaning of the head of your drink mixer, you should use a damp cloth
and only after the drink mixer has been unplugged.

After each use and also at the end of the day, fill the mixer cup with a little water and dish
washing liquid and stir for a few seconds. Repeat 2-3 times with fresh water to rinse.

In case you use the drink mixer for the mixing of ingredients other than coffee or drinks, for
instance egg, milk or other fatty products, it would be useful to clean the stirring point
(agitator) frequently by filling the mixer cup with a glass of water and a teaspoonful of
chlorine based or other disinfectants and stirring the solution for a few seconds. Never
forget to rinse thoroughly with fresh water.

AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL OR YOUR SUPPLIER. NEVER REPLACE THE WIRE CORD.
