The UPSPNL550-0 provides tempora ry ba ck up pow er to com p ut er s, ne two rk i ng dev ice s, an d ot he r de vic es of
similar load demand where power interruptions cause outages. The UPS supplies power long enough for
equipment to safely and correctly shut down. Follow all power ratings and load requirement limitations for best
results. Test units periodically for performance compliance because performance degrades with time and the
number of charge and discharge cycles.

Mounting
Location Considerations
•Avoid areas subject to excessive vibrations and the effects of radi an t he at .
•Ensure that enclosure vents are not blocked or installed in a manner that hinders air flow.
•Mount the panel as close as possible to protected equipment. Mount to a suitable solid surface to minimize
vibration and use the designated mount i ng holes on the back plane of the enclosure.
Wiring
Risk of Electric Shock.
UPS equipment outputs remain live when the main disconnect to the panel is in the Off position or when the panel
is without power. Contact with the UPS equipment outputs can cause electric shock and may result in serious
personal injury or death. To avoid injury, use the appropriate personal protective equipment.
Use the appropriate personal protective equipment, such as gl oves and protective goggl es. For electr ical operation
purposes, use the appropriate electrical protection equipment and tools.
Risk of Property Damage.
Do not apply power to the system before checking all wiring connections. Short circuited or improperly conn ected
wires may result in permanent damage to the equipment.

Risk of Property Damage.
Do not run low-voltage cable in the same conduit or wiring troughs with high-voltage wires. Running low- and
high-voltage wires in the same conduit or wiring troughs may damage the equipment or cause system
malfunction.
