3. Safety Instructions

Please read and understand all of the following instructions, prior to using this tool. Failure to do so, may void the warranty.

ATTENTION IMPORTANT

• Read all instructions prior to operating this tool. Do not remove any labels from tool.

• Always turn the tool off when not in use or left unattended for a period of time.

• Remove the batteries when storing the tool for an extended time (more than 3 months)

to avoid damage to the tool should the batteries deteriorate.

• Do not attempt to repair or disassemble the tool. If unqualified persons attempt

to repair this tool, warranty will be void.

• Use only original Johnson

parts and accessories purchased from your Johnson

authorized dealer. Use of non-Johnson®parts and accessories will void warranty.

5. Operating Instructions

Sensor/Slaver Battery Installation

The Sensor/Slaver requires 3 “AA” alkaline batteries to operate. Locate the battery door on bottom as shown in photo. Loosen screws, remove cover and install the batteries with correct polarity. Securely re-install battery door.

Power On and Off

Hold the power button for one second to power on the Sensor/Slaver. An audible beep and visual LED light will confirm the power is on.

Hold the power button for one second to power down the Sensor/Slaver. An audible beep and visual LED power light will confirm the power is off.

Remote Control/Receiver Battery Installation

The Remote Control/Receiver requires 3 “AA” alkaline batteries to operate. Locate battery door, remove cover and install the batteries with correct polarity. Securely re-install battery door.

6. Using the Remote Control/Receiver

Remote Display

1. Power Button (POW)

a. Hold for one second to power up Sensor/Slaver with beep. b. Hold for two seconds to turn off Remote Control/Receiver

with beep.

2. Measure Button (MEAS)

a. Push button to enable measuring and lock control pad

with beep and visual LED is lit.

b. Push button again to disable measuring and unlock control

pad with beep and visual LED is off.

Note: All operation buttons will be non-responsive, except buttons 1, 2, & 7. Push the MEAS button again so light turns off to utilize buttons 3, 4 and 5 below.

Begin measuring only after the link light of the Remote Control/Receiver and Sensor/Slaver are illuminated. If there is a delay in the illumination or the units are not connected, power down and then power up again.

3. Resolution Button (SEN/DEG)

Pushing this button will switch resolutions a. 0.002º - 0.01º - 0.1º - 1º - 0.002º b. Degree - Minute - Second

1. When degrees stop to X1 and Y1, press MEAS to pause measure.

2. Press and hold this button until 3 beeps are heard to set alarm mode for 1 degree, LCD will display “1”.

3. Then press MEAS and move sensor to another desired X2 and Y2.

4. Pause MEAS again and hold same button until 3 beeps are heard for set degree 2, LCD will display “2”.

5. Remote Control/Receiver will beep when Sensor/Slaver is out of range (1 and 2).

6. To disable alert, press this button to enable 1 and 2.

Note: X & Y axis must be set independently. Preset minimum and maximum alarm prior to setting on surface to be leveled.

6. Lock and Quiet Button (LOCK/QUIET)

a. Lock: to lock control pad b. Quiet: to disable beeper

Note: All operation buttons will be non-responsive, except buttons 1 & 6 - locking button.

7. Select Axis, Backlight and Calibration Button (X/Y BACKLED)

a. Select Axis: press to switch display between X, Y, X n Y b. Backlight: hold for 2 seconds to turn on/off backlight c. Calibration: if this function is not working, please do not

operate, it could cause level displacement. If the precision of the instrument is not correct and cannot be corrected, please send it back to Johnson Level & Tool for test and

maintenance.

Calibration Procedure:

1. Put sensor on a flat plate (±3°)

2. Power up sensor and remote. Red LED power light is on both devices.

3. Hold the X/Y back LED icon for 5 seconds to enter

calibration mode. There will be five beeps.

4. The LCD screen is flashing except for the number 1. This means you have entered calibration step 1.

5. Press the X/Y back LED icon again to enter calibration step 2. First beep acknowledges the button press. The three additional beeps indicate it has entered the 2nd stage of calibration.

6. Rotate the sensor 180°, then press the X/Y back LED icon button again (see below illustration).

7. The “2” will disappear and calibration is finished.

8. Care and Handling

• Store instrument in a safe and dry climate controlled environment

at standard room temperature.

• Do not throw, knock, or shake the instrument as this may damage

the inner circuit boards.

• Remote Control/Receiver IS NOT water resistant. Should the

instrument come into contact with water, be sure to wipe

immediately with a dry towel and discontinue use until fully dry.

• Sensor/Slave IS NOT water resistant. Should the instrument come

into contact with water, be sure to remove the batteries

immediately in order to avoid a short circuit and replace them

only after the instrument is completely dry. Be sure to wipe

immediately with dry towel and discontinue use until fully dry.

• Avoid use outdoors. Rain and water contact with the power

supply unit could result in electronic wire or instrument burn down.

• Store the instrument in a clean, dust free environment.

• Do not disassemble or modify the product, doing so will void your

warranty.

• Do not use stimulative chemicals, or corrosive cleaning solvents

to wash instrument.

• Do not in any way try to alter the instrument’s functionality or

aesthetics.

Johnson Level & Tool offers a one-year limited warranty on our Machine Mountable Electronic Level with Bluetooth. The limited warranty for each product contains various limitations and exclusions.

NOTE: The user is responsible for the proper use and care of the product. It is the responsibility of the user to verify the calibration of the instrument before each use.

5. Instrucciones de Operación

Nivel/Control Remoto Instalación de Baterías

Para su funcionamiento, el Nivel/Control Remoto requiere 3 baterías alcalinas AA. Localice la cubierta de baterías en la parte inferior de la herramienta (ver foto). Afloje los tornillos, retire la cubierta e instale las baterías en la polaridad correspondiente. Vuelva a instalar la cubierta asegurándose de que quede bien instalada.

Encendido y Apagado

Para encender el Nivel/Control Remoto, presione el botón de encendido por un segundo. Un pitido y una luz LED confirmarán que el Nivel/Control Remoto está encendido.

Para apagar el Nivel/Control Remoto, presione el botón de encendido por un segundo. Un pitido y una luz LED confirmarán que el Nivel/Control Remoto se ha apagado.

Control Remoto/Receptor Instalación de Baterías

Parta su funcionamiento, el Control Remoto/Receptor requiere 3 baterías alcalinas. Ubique la cubierta de baterías, retire la cubierta e instale las baterías en la polaridad correspondiente. Vuelva a instalar la cubierta asegurándose de que quede bien instalada.

6. Uso del Control Remoto/Receptor

Pantalla del Remoto

1. Botón de Encendido (POW)

a. Para encender el Nivel/Control Remoto a través del pitido,

presione por un segundo.

b. Para apagar el Control Remoto/Receptor a través del

pitido, presione por dos segundos.

2. Botón de Medición (MEAS)

a. Presione el botón para habilitar la medición y bloquear el

teclado a través del pitido, y la luz LED se encenderá.

b. Presione el botón nuevamente para inhabilitar la medición

y desbloquear el teclado a través del pitido, y la luz LED se apagará.

Nota: Sólo los botones de operación 1, 2 y 7 permanecerán activados. Para utilizar los botones 3, 4 y 5, presione el botón MEAS de nuevo para que la luz se apague.

Comience a medir sólo después de que la luz de activado del Control Remoto/Receptor y del Nivel/Control Remoto estén iluminadas. Si hay un retraso en la iluminación o las unidades no están conectadas, apague y vuelva a encender.

3. Botón de Resolución (SEN/DEG)

Presionar este botón le permitirá cambiar resoluciones a. 0.002º - 0.01º - 0.1º - 1º - 0.002º b. Grado - Minuto - Segundo

4. Botón de Función (mm, m; in/ft; CHN)

Presionar este botón le permitirá cambiar funciones a. Porcentaje de Nivelación (%) b. mm/m c. pulgadas/pies d. Selección de Canal (A-B-A)

5. Botón de Absoluto, Relativo y Grado (ABS/REL, WARN)

a. Absoluto y Relativo: intercambiar entre valor absoluto

y relativo

b. Configuración del Grado de Alerta

1. Cuando los grados se detienen en X1 y Y1, presione MEAS para detener la medición.

2. Presione y mantenga este botón presionado hasta que suenen 3 pitidos para configurar el modo de alarma

para 1 grado. La pantalla LCD mostrará “1”.

3. Después presione MEAS y mueva el sensor a otra nivelación deseada X2 y Y2.

4. Presione MEAS nuevamente y mantenga el botón presionado hasta que suenen 3 pitidos para configurar el grado 2. La pantalla LCD mostrará “2”.

5. El Control Remoto/Receptor emitirá un pitido cuando el

Nivel/Control Remoto se salga del rango (1 y 2).

6. Para inhabilitar la alerta, presione este botón para

habilitar 1 y 2.

Nota: Los ejes X y Y deben configurarse independientemente. Configure la alarma mínima y máxima antes de instalar en la superficie a nivelar.

6. Botón de Bloqueo y Silenciador (LOCK/QUIET)

a. Lock: para bloquear el teclado b. Quiet: para inhabilitar el pitido

Nota: Sólo los botones de operación 1 y 6 permanecerán activados – botón de bloqueo.

7. Botón de Selección de Ejes, Iluminación Posterior y Calibración (X/Y BACKLED)

a. Selección de Ejes: presione para intercambiar entre X, Y, X n Y b. Iluminación Posterior: presione el botón por 2 segundos

para encender o apagar la luz posterior

c. Calibración: si esta función se encuentra defectuosa, por favor

no utilice la herramienta porque podría causar desplazamiento del nivel. Si la precisión del instrumento no es correcta o no puede ser corregida, por favor comuníquese con nuestro Departamento de Servicio al Cliente donde le indicarán cómo devolver la herramienta a Johnson Level &Tool para prueba

y mantenimiento.

Procedimiento de calibración:

1. Ubique el sensor sobre una placa plana (±3º).

2. Encienda el sensor y el remoto. Una luz LED de encendido se encuentra en ambos aparatos.

3. Presione el botón de iluminación posterior y calibración por 5 segundos para acceder al modo de calibración. Se escucharán 5 pitidos.

4. Los números en la pantalla LCD aparecerán en forma intermitente, a excepción del número “1”. Esto indica que se ha accedido al primer paso de calibración.

5. Vuelva a presionar el botón de iluminación posterior y calibración para acceder al segundo paso de calibración. El primer pitido indica que el botón se ha presionado. Los tres pitidos adicionales indican que el aparato ha accedido al segundo paso de calibración.

6. Gire el sensor 180°, y vuelva a presionar el botón de iluminación posterior y calibración como lo indica la siguiente ilustración.

7. El “2” desaparecerá y la calibración se habrá terminado.

Ejecute una rotación de 180º en la misma dirección

de las manecillas del reloj.

8. Cuidado y Manejo

• Guarde el instrumento en un lugar seguro y en condiciones óptimas de humedad y temperatura.

• No tire, golpee ni mueva bruscamente el instrumento porque las placas del circuito interior se pueden dañar.

• El Control Remoto/Receptor NO es resistente al agua. Si el instrumento entra en contacto con el agua, asegúrese de limpiar con una toalla seca inmediatamente y descontinúe su uso hasta que esté completamente seco.

• El Nivel/Control Remoto NO es resistente al agua. Si el instrumento entra en contacto con el agua, asegúrese de retirar las baterías inmediatamente para evitar un corto circuito, y reinstale las baterías sólo cuando el instrumento esté completamente seco.

Asegúrese de limpiar con una toalla seca inmediatamente y

descontinúe su uso hasta que esté completamente seco.

• Evite el uso del instrumento al aire libre. El contacto de la fuente de poder con el agua o la lluvia podría quemar los cables eléctricos o el instrumento.

• Guarde el instrumento en un lugar limpio y libre de polvo.

• No desensamble o modifique el producto. Esto podría anular la garantía.

• No utilice químicos ni solventes limpiadores corrosivos para limpiar el instrumento.

• Por ningún motivo intente alterar la funcionalidad o estética

del producto.
