Only use non-tropical weather
This unit and its AC adaptor can only be safely used in non-tropical weather. The operating temperature range is 5° - 40°C (41° - 104°F).
Do not repair, modify or replace parts by yourself
Do not attempt to repair the unit, modify or replace parts of the product. Please contact all the nearest JOHANNUS Service Center.
Do not disassemble or modify by yourself
Do not open the unit or its AC adaptor or attempt to disassemble or modify the internal component in any way.
Use only the supplied AC adaptor (DEXIBELL DYS602-240250W).
Use only the AC adaptor included with the unit. Connecting a dierent AC adaptor can cause serious damage to the internal circuitry and may even pose
a shock hazard.
Use only the supplied power cord
Use only the AC power cord supplied with the AC adaptor included in the package.
Do not excessively bend the power cord
Do not excessively twist or bend the power cord otherwise you damage it. Damaged cords may cause re and shock hazards!.
Do not place the unit in an unstable location
Do not place the unit in a unstable position where it might accidentally fall over.
Take care not to allow liquid or foreign objects to enter unit; Do not place containers with liquid on unit
Do not place object lled with liquid (glass of water on this product. Never allow foreign objects (e.g., ammable objects, coins, wires) or liquids (e.g.,
water or juice) to enter this product. Doing so may cause short circuits, faulty operation, or other malfunctions.
Never place or store the product in the following types of locations
• Exposed to extreme cold or heat (such as in direct sunlight, near a heater, or in a car during the day)
• Subject to steam or smoke.
• Damp (such washroom, baths, on wet oors).
• Subject to salt water exposure.

Do not drop the unit or subject it to strong impact
Do not drop the unit. Protect it from strong impact!
Do not connect the unit to an outlet with an unreasonable number of other devices
Do not connect the unit’s power-supply cord to an electrical outlet with an unreasonable number of other devices. This could cause the outlet to overheat
and possibly cause a re.
Adults must provide supervision in places where children are present
When using the unit in locations where children are present, never leave the unit unattended. Keep a special watch over any children so that they don’t
mishandling of the unit can take place.
Avoid extended use at high volume
This unit, either alone or in combination with an amplier and headphones or speakers, may be capable of producing sound levels that could cause
permanent hearing loss. DO NOT operate for a long period of time at a high volume level, or at a level that is uncomfortable. If you experience any hearing

Keep clean the AC adaptor’s plug

Try to prevent cords and cables from becoming entangled. Place all cords and cables away from children.
Before cleaning the unit, unplug the AC adaptor from the outlet
To avoid electric shock or damage the unit, before cleaning the unit, turn it o and unplug the AC adaptor from the outlet (p. 19).
If there is a possibility of lightning strike in your area, disconnect the AC adaptor from the outlet
If you know a thunderstorm is predicted in your area, disconnect the AC adaptor from the outlet.
Do not rest your weight on or place heavy objects on the unit.
Avoid to climb on top of, nor place heavy objects on the unit.
Cautions when moving this unit
• When transporting or moving the unit always use two or more people. Attempting to lift the unit by yourself may damage your back, result in other
injury, or cause damage to the unit itself.
• The unit should be handled carefully, all the while keeping it level.
• Disconnect the power cord and all connected cables.
Place in a well ventilated location
The unit and the AC adaptor should be located so their location or position does not interfere with their proper ventilation.
Do not use in tropical climates
Use the unit and the AC adaptor only in a moderate climates (not in tropical climates).
Place near the socket outlet
This equipment should be installed near the socket outlet and disconnection of the device should be easily accessible.

Relevant Indications
In addition to the items listed under "Important Safety Instructions" on p. 5, please read and observe the following:
Power supply related
• Do not plug this unit into the same electrical outlet used same by an
electrical appliance that is controlled by an inverter or a motor (such as
a refrigerator, washing machine or air conditioner). Doing so, can result
an audible noise.
• The power adapter may become warm after long hours of consecutive
use. It can be a normal dissipation of heat through the adapter casing.
To reduce the possibility of overheating place the power adapter on
the oor in a well-ventilated location.
• Before connecting the unit to other equipment, turn o the power
to all equipment. Otherwise, electrical shock or damage to the
equipment may occur.
• If the unit is not operative for 120 minutes (2 hours). to prevent
unnecessary power consumption, this unit features an “AUTO OFF”
function that automatically turns the unit o. If you don’t want the
unit to turn o automatically, change the “AUTO OFF” setting to “OFF”
as described on p. "AUTO OFF Settings" (p. 43).
NOTE
The “AUTO OFF “ setting is memorized when you switch o the unit.
Related to appropriate location
• Do not place the unit near power ampliers (or other equipment
containing large power transformers) to avoid induced hum. In case
of hum, to reduce the problem, change the orientation of your unit or
place it away from the source of interference .
• Do not use this unit in the vicinity of a TV or radio. This unit may
interfere with radio and television reception.
• When using this unit along with application on your iPhone/iPad, we
recommend that you set “Airplane Mode” to “ON” on your iPhone/iPad
in order to avoid noise caused by communication.
• Noise may be produced if cell phones are operated in the vicinity of
this unit. In case of noise you should relocate such wireless devices so
they are at a greater distance from this unit, or switch them o.
• Do not expose the unit to extreme cold or heat, to direct sunlight or
near devices that radiate heat. Do not leave the unit inside an vehicle
during the day. Extreme temperature can damage the unit.
• Take care when move the unit from one location to another with
drastic changes in ambient temperature. Condensation can occur in
the unit due to drastic change of temperature. Using the device while
condensation is present can cause damage. If there is reason to believe
that condensation might have occurred, leave the device for several
hours until the condensation has completely dried out.
• Do not place, for long periods of time, vinyl, plastic or rubber objects
on this unit. Such objects can discolor or otherwise harmfully aect
the nish.
• Do not place objects for long period of time on top of the keyboard.
This can be the cause of malfunction of the keys of the keyboard.
• Do not apply any stickers, decals or self-adhesive material to this unit.
The glue is dicult to remove and solvents are damaging the exterior
nish.
• Do not place object lled with liquid (glass of water on this unit. Avoid
to use alcohol, perfume, hairspray, nail polish, etc., near the unit. In the
event of liquid spill on the unit, swiftly wipe away the surface using a
dry, soft cloth.
Maintenance related
• To clean the unit, put a soft cloth in lukewarm water , squeeze it well,
then wipe the entire surface using an equal amount of strength.
Rubbing too hard in the same area can damage the nish.
• If your unit has a polished nish, it needs careful, periodic care. Dust
should be removed using a soft feather or wool-type duster. Care
should be taken not to apply pressure to the nish or to drag the
dust across the nish, which can create ne scratches in the surface.
Fingerprints or similar marks can be cleaned with a dampened soft
cloth, followed by a dry cloth. In cases of stubborn greasy dirt, using a
small amount of mild detergent (such as mild dishwashing liquid) on
the damp cloth may help. Do not use any cleaners or detergents, since
they might deteriorate the surface of the cabinet, and produce cracks.
Do not use dusting cloths that contain chemicals.
• Do not wipe this unit with benzene, alcohol or solvent of any kind .
Doing so may result in discoloration and/or deformation of the unit.
Related to repairs
• Always back up your data on a USB memories before you send this
unit for repair to an authorized center. All data contained in the unit’s
memory my be lost. Important data should always be backed up,
or written down on paper (when possible). JOHANNUS assumes no
liability concerning such loss of data.
Related to external memories
• Insert the USB Memory (commercially available) into the slot with care
and at the correct angle.
• Take particular care when handling USB Memory:
• Always ground yourself to something metal before handling an USB
Memory.
• Do not touch the pins of the USB Memory connector, or allow them
to become dirty.
• Do not subject the USB Memory to temperature extremes (e.g.,
direct sunlight in an enclosed vehicle).
• Do not allow the USB Memory to become wet.
• Do not drop or subject it to excessive shock or vibration.
• Do not disconnect the USB Memory while writing and reading data
(i.e., while the USB Memory indicator blinks).
• Never use USB hub to connect USB Memory to the unit.
• This unit allows you to use commercially available USB Memory. You
can purchase such devices at a computer store, a digital camera dealer,
etc.
• The audio recording require a USB storage device to support high
sustained transfer rates. Not all USB devices will guarantee awless
performance.

Other precautions
• The contents of memory could be lost due to malfunction or improper
operation. To help prevent the loss of your data, we highly recommend
that you periodically save a backup copy of important data you have
stored in the unit’s memory on another storage device. (e.g., USB
memories).
• Unfortunately, an error may occur during the data restore previously
stored in the USB memories. JOHANNUS shall not be liable for loss of
prots or any consequential loss, loss of data.
• Do not use excessive force when handling unit’s buttons, switches,
sliders and controls and when use connectors and jacks. Rough
handling can cause damage o malfunctions.
• Always pull by the connector when disconnecting a cable, never pull
the cable Not doing so you will cause shorts, or damage to the cable’s
internal elements.
• Keep the unit’s volume levels down. The instrument should be used
at a reasonable volume, to avoid disturbing neighbours, especially at
night and in the early morning. Use headphones if you want to play
your music loud or late at night.
• When you need to transport the unit, put it in its original packaging
with padding in the box. Otherwise, you will need to use equivalent
packaging materials. When transporting or moving the unit always use
two or more people.
• To prevent possible damage, avoid applying excessive force to the
music stand.
• For connecting this unit use cable low impedance cables. The use of
cables that contain resistor can cause the sound level to be extremely
low, or impossible to hear.

be switched o 120 minutes after you stop playing or
operating the ONE.
If ONE’s power has been turned o automatically, you can
use the [" ] switch to turn the ONE back on. If you don’t
want the power to turn o automatically, set the “AUTO OFF”
parameter to “OFF” (p. 43).
NOTE
To avoid malfunctions, never disconnect the AC/DC adapter while
the instrument is turned on.

SPLIT/MANUAL I/II
This tilt tab allows you to:
• split the keyboard and play dierent sounds with your
left (MANUAL I) and right (MANUAL II) hands (tilt tab
lit). See 22.
• couple the sounds of manual II (right hand) to manual
I (left hand), allowing you to play both from the entire
keyboard (tilt tab light o). See 21.
• change the split point of the MANUAL II and MANUALI.

TUNING TEMPERAMENT
This section allows you to select the desired reference
pitch tuning [PRESET] and, if you need, adjust the organ’s
reference pitch to the other instrument by the "FINE" knob.
Use the [SCALE] button to select the desired temperament.

CHORD ENHANCER
This button enable the Enhancer function. This function
improve the sound adding notes to the played chord.

The ENHANCER function works only with the following families

TRANSPOSE
This button calls up the transpose function. The transpose
function lets you shift the pitch in semitone steps without

AUDIO IN knob
This knob allows you to set the level of the audio source
connected to the AUDIO IN socket.
ORGAN (Sound set)
By switching between sound set, you can change the overall
tonal character and feel of the entire organ; for example, you
can change from a German organ to an English organ. See
p. 21.
AUDIO IN socket
This mini jack allows you to connect the audio outputs of an
external signal source (CD/mp3 player, etc.).
PHONES outputs
This is where you can connect one or two pairs of optional
headphones.
Doing so switches o the internal speakers. See p. 16.
MEMORY pistons
Each of these pistons can store the combination of sounds
for the entire organ. There are three banks of memories
(M1, M2, M3). The [0] piston (CANCEL) sets the organ to the
condition in which all tilt tabs and orchestral sounds are
cancelled, so that no sounds are selected. See p. 33.
USB Computer Port
Use an USB cable to connect the ONE to your computer via
this connector p. 17.
USB Memory Port
Connect an commercially available USB Memory here.
NOTE
* Carefully insert the USB Memory making sure that the connector
on the device is appropriate and that it is connected in the proper
direction.
* JOHANNUS does not recommend using USB hubs, irrespective of
whether they are active or passive. Please connect only one USB

Depending on the circumstances of a particular setup, you
could feel a tingling sensation at the point where you touch
this device.
You can eliminate this sensation connecting the ground
terminal with an external ground. For details see p. 19.

NOTE
Be sure to use only the AC adaptor (DEXIBELL DYS602-240250W)
supplied with the unit. Also, make sure the line voltage at the
installation matches the input voltage specied on the AC

pedal). The crescendo pedal incrementally activates tilt

Adjust the AUDIO IN Level
1. Rotate the knob to set the input level of the signals
received via AUDIO IN sockets.
Change the Organ Sound Set
By switching between sound set, you can change the overall
tonal character and feel of the entire organ. "USER 1" and
"USER 2" allow you to import sounds set downloadable from
www.johannus.com site.
1. Press the button repeatedly until the indicator of the desired sound set
lights.
Select a Classical Tuning
You can adjust the reference pitch by choosing one of seven
classic xed settings: 392Hz, 415Hz, 432Hz, 440Hz (default),
442Hz, 444Hz, 466Hz.
If you’re playing the ONE together with other instruments in
an ensemble, you can adjust the pitch ([FINE] knob) to match
the other instruments if necessary.
1. Press the [PRESET] button repeatedly until the indicator of the desired
pitch lights.
2. Rotate the [FINE] knob to adjust the tune, if necessary.
Select a Temperament (SCALE)
The ONE allows you to easily change the temperament.
1. Press the [SCALE] button repeatedly until the indicator of the desired
temperament lights.
Improve the sound (CHORD ENHANCER)
This function improves the sound of the STRING and CHOIR
family adding notes to the played chord.
1. Select a sound of the STRING and CHOIR family.
2. Press the [CHORD ENHANCER] to activate the function.
The [ENHANCER] button indicator lights and the Chord Enhancer function is active
3. Play a chord on the keyboard.
The Chord Enhancer function adds notes to the chord you played.
FUNCTION/EXIT
1. Press and hold the [FUNCTION/EXIT] to enter the function mode.
2. Press the Tilt Tabs to enable or disable func tions. See. 42.
Change the Pitch of the Keyboard (TRANSPOSE)
You can transpose your playing without changing the position at which you play the
keys.
1. Use the [-] [+] buttons to adjust the transposition.

This socket can be use to connect a continuous Damper pedal
also. To set the pedal as damper please see "CRESCENDO PEDAL"

2. Connect a damper switch to the DAMPER PEDAL socket.
This pedal is useful to control the sustain while playing piano
section. You will be able to hold the notes of the PEDAL, MANUAL
I orchestral sections. The sections can be assignable. See "Damper
Pedal Settings" (p. 43).
NOTE
The DAMPER socket accepts foot-switch ON/OFF type only.
3. Connect an expression pedal to the EXPRESSION PEDAL
socket.
You can control the volume of the Organ, Orchestra and Piano
sections.
The EXPRESSION socket is assignable in a way that various functions
can be assigned to it. See "Expression Pedal Settings" (p. 43).
Listening Through Headphones

You can use headphones to enjoy the ONE without disturbing
those around you.
1. Here you can connect stereo headphones. The ONE has
two headphones jacks . Two people can use headphones
simultaneously.
2. Rotate the ONE’s [VOLUME] knob to adjust the volume of

the headphone.
Cautions when using headphones
• To prevent damage to the cord’s internal conductors, avoid rough
handling. When using headphones, mainly try to handle either the
plug or the headset.
• Your headphones may be damaged if the volume of a device is
already turned up when you plug them in. Minimize the volume
before you plug in the headphones.
• Excessive input will not only damage your hearing, but may also
strain the headphones. Please enjoy music at a reasonable volume.

You can connect the INPUT jack to an audio playback device.
The audio of playback will be reproduced with the ONE's internal
speakers .
1. Rotate the [VOLUME] knob toward the left position to
minimize the volume.
2. Connect the ONE’s AUDIO IN jack to the output of an
external signal source.
3. Use the AUDIO IN knob to adjust the input level the ONE’s
AUDIO IN jack to the output of the signal received.
You can connect the OUTPUT R L/MONO jacks to an external
amplier, mixing consoles, etc.
NOTE
If you want to use only one channel on your external amplier,
connect the L/MONO socket to its input. For optimum sound
quality, we recommend working in stereo, though.
1. Rotate the [VOLUME] knob toward the left position to
minimize the volume.
2. Connect the ONE’s OUTPUT jacks to the inputs of your
external audio device.
REAR SIDE
Connecting the ONE to Your Computer
If you use an USB cable (commercially available) to connect the
COMPUTER port located on the ONE’s front panel to the USB port
of your computer, you’ll be able to transfer MIDI data between the
ONE and your sequencer software.
NOTE
The ONE does not support GM/GS standard.
What do you need to connect the ONE with your
computer?

• To avoid the risk of malfunction and/or damage to external
speakers, always turn the volume all the way down and switch o
the power on all devices before you make any connections.
• Only MIDI data can be transmitted and received via USB. Audio data
cannot be transmitted or received.
• Switch on the power to the ONE before you start up the MIDI
application on your computer. Never turn the ONE’s power on/o
while your MIDI application is running.
Connecting the ONE to MIDI devices
MIDI is an universal standard, which means that musical data can
be sent to and received by instruments of dierent types and
manufacturers. MIDI allows you to connect your instrument to
another devices as an MIDI sound module.
Here below an example of MIDI connection:

ONE OUT socket to another device, connect the THRU
socket using an additional MIDI cable (code: CHL400LU15)

NOTE
Carefully insert the USB Memory making

The ONE supports all USB memory (FAT 32
formatted).
Anyway, because there are so many USB
memory on the market and it is almost
impossible to check all types of memories, it
could happen that a memory is not compatible
with your instrument.

Safely Remove the USB Memory
NOTE
You should always safely eject the USB Memory before
physically unplugging it from USB socket. Before to unplug the
USB Memory use the "USB REMOVE" function.
1. Press and hold the [FUNCTION/EXIT] button.
The [FUNCTION/EXIT] button ashes to indicate that we are in
function mode. All other indicators go dark.
2. Press the lower part of the "30" tilt tab to safely remove
the USB Memory.

The "30" tilt tab indicator starts ashing and after few seconds the
instrument leaves the function mode.
Now you can unplug the USB Memory safely.
Installing Music Rest
Install the included music rest as shown in the illustration below.
Installing the USB LED Lamp
The ONE is equipped with a 5 Volt POWER PORT. When the light is not
enough to read music, you can connect the exible LED lamp.
1. Use the screw-type ground terminal to connect to ground
or to connect to the chassis of the mixer, preamp, or other
device in your system.
Turning the Power On
Once everything is properly connected, be sure to follow the procedure
below to turn on their power.
1. Rotate the [VOLUME] knob toward the left position to
minimize the volume.
NOTE
Before turning the ONE on/o, always be sure to turn the
volume down. Even with the volume turned down, you might
hear some sound when switching the ONE on/o.
However, this is normal and does not indicate a malfunction.
2. Press the ONE’s [ " ] button located on the right panel to
switch it on.
1. Connect the exible LED lamp to the POWER PORT.
NOTE
Carefully insert the LED lamp making sure that the connector on
the device is appropriate and that it is connected in the proper
direction.
WARNING
Do not connect any other devices to this power port. An

Depending on the circumstances of a particular setup, you could feel a
tingling sensation at the point where you touch this device.
You can eliminate this sensation connecting the ground terminal with an
external ground.
The power will turn on, the tilt tab indicators light in sequence.
After a brief interval, the ONE will be ready to produce sound.
3. Use the [VOLUME] knob to adjust the volume.
NOTE
This unit is equipped with a protection circuit. A brief interval
(a few seconds) after power up is required before the unit will
operate normally.
Turning the Power O
1. Rotate the [VOLUME] knob toward the left position to
minimize the volume.
NOTE
To avoid malfunctions, never disconnect the AC/DC adapter
while the instrument is turned on.
2. Press and hold the ONE’s [ " ] switch for a few seconds.
All indicators go dark and the LED meter of TRANSPOSE ashes to
indicate that the unit will turn o after few seconds.

If you need to turn o the power completely, rst turn o the
[POWER] switch, then unplug the power cord from the power
outlet. Refer to "Connecting the AC Adaptor" (p. 16).
If you do not operate the unit for a certain period
of time while the power is on, this unit turns o
automatically.
If you don’t want the power to turn o automatically,
turn the “AUTO OFF” setting o !
With the factory settings, the unit’s power will automatically be switched o 120 minutes after you stop playing
or operating the unit.
Shortly before the ONE shuts down automatically, the indicators go dark and the tilt tab indicator light in sequence.
If you want to keep using the ONE at this stage, press any
button.
If you don’t want the power to turn o automatically, change
the “AUTO OFF” setting to “OFF” as described on p. 43.
Before You Start to Play
Demo of the ONE
Your ONE contains a demo that introduces all the best of its tones.
1. To start playback of all demo songs simultaneously press
the [*-,] and [SONG] buttons.
The rst tilt tab ashes and playback of all songs starts
automatically in sequence.
2. Press the tilt tab that is assigned to the desired demo
song to start playback of that song.
3. Press the [FUNCTION/EXIT] button to leave the demo
function.

Organ Sounds
The organ is a classic musical instrument that has been used for centuries.
Historically, there are several types of organs producing various sounds to
make music following the music taste. Here below you will learn how to
select the desired organ type and how to play the organ sound.
Selecting Various Organ Types
The ONE comes with various organ registers groups: AMERICAN, ENGLISH,
FRENCH, GERMAN and DEFAULT. Moreover you have two user organ
memory location (USER 1, USER 2) that allows you to expand the tonal
resources of the instrument. You can download this selection of sounds
from the www.johannus.com website. See "Importing Organ Sound Set
(User 1/2)" (p. 44).
1. Repeatedly press the [ORGAN] button until the indicator
of the desired selection lights.
Selecting MANUAL I Organ Sounds
3. Press the bottom part of a MANUAL I tilt tab to activate the
desired organ sound (organ stop).
If the indicator of the tilt tab lights.
You can activate as many registers as you like.
The new selection is now available for all three organ divisions.
2. Press the tilt tabs that you desire.
The names of sounds (registers) for each organ type (AMERICAN,
ENGLISH, FRENCH, GERMAN) are indicated on the panel above each
one of the tilt tabs.

At power on the instrument select the DEFAULT organ type.
The name of the registers of the DEFAULT organ type are also
indicated on each of the tilt tabs.
4. Play the keyboard to enjoy the organ sound.
All keyboard play organ sounds.
You can activate as many registers as you like.
5. To switch o the sound, press the upper part of a tilt tab
whose indicator lights.
Adding MANUAL II Organ Sounds
The ONE allows you to layer the sounds of the MANUAL II division.
If you wish, you can play the MANUAL II in separate part of the keyboard.
See "Playing the MANUAL I and II Divisions in Separate Keyboard Parts
(SPLIT)" (p. 22).
1. At the power on, the [SPLIT/MANUAL I/II] tilt tab indicator
is o to simulate the coupling of two manuals on a church
organ. When the [SPLIT/MANUAL I/II] indicator lights,
press the upper part of the tilt tab.
2. Press the bottom part of a MANUAL II tilt tab to activate
the desired organ sound (register).
3. Play the keyboard.
The MANUAL II sound is added to the MANUAL II register.
You can activate as many registers as you like.
4. If necessary, adjust the volume balance of the MANUAL I/
MANUAL II using the [BALANCE] knob.

Playing the MANUAL I and II Divisions
in Separate Keyboard Parts (SPLIT)
The ONE gives you the possibility to assign the MANUAL I section to the
left half of the keyboard, and play the MANUAL II section in the right half.

1. Press the bottom part of the [SPLIT/MANUAL I/II] tilt tab in
the MANUAL I section to uncouple the manuals.
Organ Sounds
The bass notes are only added to the notes played in the E1~F#4
range:

The bass note corresponds to the lowest note you play.

Using the PEDAL Division
The PEDAL division can be played via the keyboard, or with a commercially
available MIDI pedalboard.
If you use the keyboard, the PEDAL division is monophonic and the
leftmost note played on the keyboard is added to the PEDAL division.
1. Use a PEDAL tilt tabs to add a bass note to your playing.
NOTE
Please note that the maximum high note of the Pedal part is
F#4. If you set the split point greater then of F#4 note, the Pedal
part will always play up to F#4 and not more.
Instead, if you set the split point below the note F#4 , the Pedal
part follows the new range of the split point.
NOTE
If you connect a MIDI pedalboard to the MIDI IN socket on the
ONE's rear panel, the PEDAL part can no longer be played via
the keyboard in polyphonic mode.
Playing the PEDAL section with a pedalboard
Connecting a MIDI pedalboard to the MIDI IN socket on the ONE's rear
panel, you have a complete organ with 2 manuals. The PEDAL section is
played by the pedalboard.
MEMO
When you connect a MIDI pedalboard to the MIDI IN socket on
the ONE, the PEDAL section play in polyphonic mode.
1. Use a MIDI cable to connect the MIDI pedalboard to the
MIDI IN socket of the ONE. See p. 18.
NOTE
Refer to the user manual of the MIDI pedalboard to power it.
The ONE recognizes that a device has been connected to the
MIDI IN socket and automatically the PEDAL section can be
played by the pedalboard.

Using the orchestral sounds
The ONE contains orchestral sections that can be used in isolation or
together with the organ sounds. The orchestral sounds are velocity
sensitive, this means that their volume and timbre depend on the force
with which you press the keys.
Playing Orchestral Sounds with the
MANUAL II Division
In the music compositions the organ and orchestra have a wide repertoire.
Regarding this aspect, the ONE has orchestral sound to give you the
possibility to play many symphonies for organ and solo orchestral
instruments.
The MANUAL II orchestral sounds are monophonic to play the melody
line. If you press a chord on the keyboard, the orchestral section play the
rightmost note of the chord. Playing an appropriate progression of chords,
the rightmost note of the cords will create the melody line.

select the sound that you want to play.

the previous selected of this section turns o. In this operation you
can select one sound at a time only.
2. Press the bottom part of a PEDAL tilt tab to activate the
desired organ register.
You can activate as many registers as you like.
3. Play the keyboard.
You’ll hear the selected sounds.
How to Select More Orchestral Sounds
(Variations)
The ONE allows you to select orchestral sounds (even though there is only
one button for each category (Flute, Violin, Oboe, Trumpet, Strings, etc).
See "The ONE Orchestral Tone List" (p. 24).

Each category can contain up to 4 sound variations. You can choose
USB
your favourite sound for each category. The last sound you choose is
memorized temporarily and will be recalled every time you press the
corresponding orchestral button.
1. Press and hold one of the orchestral buttons until its
indicator ashes.
The memory piston at front of the keyboard [1], [2], [3], [4] show the
available sound variations for that category.

currently assigned to the tilt tab.

Adding Reverb
The ONE allows you to select various digital reverb eects that would
add extra depth and expression to the sound to create a realistic acoustic
ambience as concert hall, a church, etc.
Adjusting the Amount of Reverb Eect
Here you can adjust the quantity of reverb.
1. Turn the [DEPTH] knob to adjust the amount of reverb
eect.
Turning the knob clockwise will increase the reverb level.
Turning the knob counterclockwise will lower the reverb level.
The [VALUE/REV TYPE] indicator shows information related the

Adjusting the Brightness of the Sound
(Brilliance)
Here you can adjust the brightness of the sounds played on the keyboard.

more soft and mellow.

The tremulant is a particular device used on a pipe organ which varies
the wind supply to the pipes of one or more divisions. This pressure
variation causes the amplitude and pitch to uctuate producing a tremolo
and vibrato eect. The ONE is equipped with 3 types of tremulant eect
assigned to each tilt tab of each division you want (Pedal, Manual I, Manual
II).
1. In the MANUAL II division, press the lower part of the
[TREMULANT] tilt tab.

Useful Functions
Changing the Keyboard’s Split Point
The Split Mode function divides the keyboard into two parts (MANUAL
I, MANUAL II), allowing each part to be played with the MANUAL I and
MANUAL II division. See "Playing the MANUAL I and II Divisions in Separate
Keyboard Parts (SPLIT)" (p. 22).
The split point is initially set at the F#4 key by default. Here’s how to
change the split point in case you want to change the factory setting:
1. Press and hold the [SPLIT] tilt tab until it's indicator
ashes.
2. Set the split point by simply pressing the corresponding
key on the keyboard. The key you pressed is the rst key
of the MANUAL II.

Tuning and Temperament
In this section you can modify the pitch of the instrument and change the
scale (tuning system) of the keyboard from standard equal temperament
to another tuning that is more suitable for playing classical pieces, etc.
Matching the Pitch of another Instrument

Transposing the Pitch of the Keyboard
The Transpose setting allows the pitch of your ONE keyboard to be raised
or lowered in semi-tone steps.
This is particularly useful when accompanying instruments tuned for
dierent keys, or when a singer sings in a key dierent than the original
music.
1. Use the [-] and [+] TRANSPOSE buttons to shift the pitch
of keyboard notes upward or downward by up to +6/-6
semitones
.

There may be times when you accompany acoustic instruments that are
dicult or impossible to tune. As you will see below, matching the tune of
another instrument is easy for the ONE.
1. Turn the [FINE] knob in the "TUNING TEMPERAMENT"
section.
Turn the knob clockwise to raise the overall pitch, or
counterclockwise to lower it.

For many years, there was no pitch standard across Europe. The frequency
of A was dierent from country to country. For example, in parts of France

Mean-Tone: The Mean-Tone temperament provided an alternative to just
intonation, which derived the proper
tuning of all the intervals in the scale by

Young II: YOUNG second temperament,
proposed to the Royal Society in 1800,
is very similar to Vallotti, except Young’s
tempered fths run around the sharp
side of C instead of from F.
Kimberger III: As a result of improvements made to the Mean Tone and Just
temperaments, this tuning system is
relatively tolerant towards transposition
and can be used to play in all keys.
Vallotti: This tuning is the default for
many of today's Baroque musicians.
Werckmeister III: A combination
of the Mean Tone and Pythagorean
temperaments, this tuning allows for
playing in any key..
Selecting the Key Note (root note)
When using a temperament other than Equal temperament, use
this procedure to specify the key signature of the piece.
1. Press and hold the [SCALE] button.
The scale indicator ashes to mark that we are in root note edit
mode.
2. Press a keyboard key for the root note you want specify.
The most tuning used for western music is called “equal temperament", where the
distance (interval) between any two semitones of an octave is the same. The ONE
uses this tuning at default.
However, in the past, and not so long ago, other tunings were used for classical
western music. These tunings are characterized by varying intervals between the
semitones of an octave. The ONE allows you to select from among seven most
used tuning methods.
Using Dierent Temperaments
1. Repeatedly press the [SCALE] button until the indicator of
the desired tuning lights.
The temperament scale is recalled.
3. The keyboard leaves the edit mode and the root note is
selected.
NOTE
The temperament and the scale tune settings are not saved.
Your changes are lost when you switch o the ONE.
How to Adjust the Volume of each Organ
Register
You can adjust the volume for each register of the organ (MANUAL I, MANUAL II
and PEDAL division).

Shifting the Tuning of the Orchestral
Sections in Octave Steps
The Octave function is an useful parameter that allows you to change the
pitch of the selected part in octave steps (12 semitones at a time).
You can adjust the octave separately for each orchestral section (MANUAL
I, MANUAL II and PEDAL) and the octave of the Piano and Harpsichord sections of
the MANUAL I.

The Chord Enhancer function adds notes to the chord you played.
NOTE
The Chord Enhancer function works in the Manual I division, both in
split mode and in layer mode.
4. Press the CHORD [ENHANCER] button to leave this
function.
Changing the Settings for Crescendo
The ONE is equipped with a crescendo pedal socket to connect an
optional expression pedal. See p. 16. The settings of crescendo can be
saved or loaded
The crescendo pedal is sometimes necessary in certain type of organ
music.
The crescendo pedal incrementally activates a predetermined selection
of tilt tabs as it is pressed forward and removes tilt tabs as it is depressed
backward. This predetermined selection start with very quiet (pianissimo)
to very loud (TUTTI).
If you need, you can edit and choose which tilt tabs to activate for each
step.
It's possible to modify the Crescendo for each type of organ set.
You can export or import your crescendo settings to an USB memory
commercially available. See "IMPORT CRESCENDO SETTING" and "EXPORT
CRESCENDO SETTING" (p. 45).
The crescendo pedal contains 7 pre-programmed registrations (steps) per
bank.
Enter in Crescendo Setting Mode
1. Select the Organ bank you need to change the Crescendo
for. See "Selecting Various Organ Types" (p. 21).
2. Press and hold the [FUNCTION/EXIT] button.
Improve the Sound (Chord Enhancer)
This function improves the sound it plays automatic harmonies that are
added to the chord that you are playing using the Manual I division.
The Chord Enhancer function works when a tone of the Strings and Choir
family is selected and the function is active (CHORD [ENHANCER] button
indicator is lit).
1. Select a tone of the Strings or Choir family on the Manual
I division. See "Playing Orchestral Sounds with the
MANUAL I Division" (p. 23).
2. Press the CHORD [ENHANCER] button.
The [ENHANCER] button indicator lights and the Chord Enhancer
function is active.
NOTE
If the current selected tone is not a tone of the Strings or Choir
The [FUNCTION/EXIT] button ashes to indicate that we are in
function mode. All other indicators go dark.
3. Press the lower part of the "70" tilt tab to select the

Useful Functions
The factory reset is performed and the instrument leave the
function mode.
Now the ONE has been initialized.
MEMO
If you are satised with your changes and wish to preserve
them, save your settings for crescendo to the USB memory. See
"EXPORT CRESCENDO SETTING" (p. 45).
NOTE
The settings of crescendo are saved in the Global area during
the power o of the instrument.
Restoring the Factory Settings (Factory
Reset)
The following function allows you to recall the ONE’s original factory
settings.
WARNING
All data will be deleted. Backup your own Memory and
Crescendo settings to an USB memory. See "Exporting a
Registration Set to an USB Memory" (p. 33) and "EXPORT
CRESCENDO SETTING" (p. 45).
1. Press and hold the [FUNCTION/EXIT] button.
The [FUNCTION/EXIT] button ashes to indicate that we are in
function mode. All other indicators go dark.
2. Press the lower part of the "8" tilt tab to select the FACTORY

The ONE provides Memory Pistons that allow you to store almost all
settings (or registrations) you make on the front panel. You can save your
settings in 12 memories (4 memories x 3 banks).
Additional registrations can be stored or loaded directly from an external
USB Memory.

You can recall the single registration via MIDI. See "Recalling
Memories via MIDI" (p. 38).
Working with Memory Pistons
Saving Your Settings in a Memory
1. Set the tilt tabs, buttons and other functions so that you
hear the combination of sounds you want to store.
2. Press [M1, M2 or M3] piston to select the memory bank
you want to save.
The piston you selected lights.
3. Hold down the [1,2,3,4] piston that corresponds to the
memory where you wish to save your settings.
All tilt tabs and orchestral button switch o.
Exporting a Registration Set to an USB
Memory
This procedure lets you export the 12 registrations in a le into USB
Memory. This function may be useful as a backup of your work.
You can save up to 12 registration set (12 les) into a USB Memory.
1. Insert an USB Memory to save your data. See "Connecting
an USB Memory (commercially available)" (p. 18).
2. Press and hold the [FUNCTION/EXIT] button.
The [FUNCTION/EXIT] button ashes to indicate that we are in
function mode. All other indicators go dark.
3. Press the lower part of the "2" tilt tab to select the EXPORT
MEMORY function.
The memory piston you selected ashes and then lights steady to
indicate that the registration was saved.
NOTE
The settings previously saved in this memory will be overwritten
by your new registration.
Recalling Your Settings
1. If necessary, press the [M1, M2 or M3] piston to select the
bank that contains the settings you need.
2. Press [1]~[4] piston to load the registration of the
corresponding memory.

This function is useful to quickly switch o all tilt tabs and orchestral

Before Playing Songs
Before being able to play back audio (mp3 or WAV) on the ONE, you must
rst appropriately rename them. This operation is necessary to select a
song by a numerical prex.
In second instance, you need to copy the songs into a USB Memory.
For performing these operations you need a personal computer.
Selecting and Playing a Song
1. Insert an USB Memory that contains songs. See

The ONE has useful song that allow you to adjust the volume,
rewind or fast-forward within the currently selected song, etc.
1. Press the [SONG] button to enter in SONG mode. Its
indicator lights.
2. Turn the [TONE/LEVEL] knob to adjust the volume of song
playback.
Turning the knob clockwise will increase the volume, and turning it
counterclockwise will decrease the volume.
The [VALUE/REV TYPE] LED meter shows the value.

Recording as Audio Data
Your performance will be recorded as audio data. The recorded song can be used on your computer, phone and in any audio player.
NOTE
To use this method of recording, you must connect an USB drive (sold separately) to the USB Memory port (p. 18).
About the Recording Files
The audio les are saved in the "Recording" folder on the USB Memory.If the "Recording" folder doesn't exist, it is automatically created within the
rst recording.The songs are saved with a dierent progressive number: rec_0001.wav,
rec_0002.wav and so on. Take in consideration that only the last recording is available for playback with song number "99".
How to Recall your Recording at the later stage
Refer to "Selecting your previous Recording" (p. 36).
The ONE allows you to record your performance and save it internally or
to an USB storage device.
Record and play back what you've played on the instrument can be an
eective practice aid.
Recording Your Performance
Recording Your Music as Audio Data
(WAVE).
This useful function allows professional quality stereo recordings.
You can reproduce directly by a portable music player by using a
computer.
Recording are saved in the external USB Memory (commercially available).
In addition, the ONE allows you to record everything that is connected
to the AUDIO IN socket. You can reproduce a backing audio track by an
external player connected to the AUDIO IN socket, play along with your
instrument in order to practice and then record your performance.
Listening to your recording
5. Press the [*-,] button to listen to your song.
If you want to re-record again, repeat from step 3.
NOTE
You should always safely eject the USB Memory before
physically unplugging it from USB socket. Before to unplug
the USB Memory use the "USB REMOVE" function. See "Safely
Remove the USB Memory" (p. 18).

This is a technique used in audio recording. While listening to an
existing recorded audio song, play a new performance along with
it. All is recorded in a new song.
1. Connect the USB Memory to which you wish to save
the audio data. See "Connecting an USB Memory
(commercially available)" (p. 18).
2. Prepare everything you want to record.
3. Load a existing audio song. See "Select the song" (p.
35).
4. Press the [ ] (Rec) button to start recording.
5. Press the [*-,] button to start the playback of the audio
song as background.
6. Play your performance while listening to the audio song.
7. At the end of song, press the [ ] (Rec) button to stop
recording.

the ONE keyboard, your instrument transmits MIDI data to its MIDI OUT
socket (or to the USB COMPUTER port).

• X-MURE is an application that runs on iPhone or IPad.
• Using “Harmony Poly Fragmentor“ (the world rst algorithm
able to modify “audio tracks” in real time), “X MURE” allows
you to play music directly on the screen of your iPad/iPhone
or with a musical instrument connected via USB.
• “X MURE” does not use sound generators, virtual
instruments or “Standard MIDI le”, it is exclusively based on
audio tracks recorded by real musical instruments, so it does
not simulate reality... it is the reality.

When pairing, make sure that other devices are o or out of

EXPORT CRESCENDO SETTING

This procedure lets you export crescendo settings in the USB Memory. This
function may be useful as a backup of your work.
1. Insert an USB Memory to save your data. See "Connecting an USB Memory
(commercially available)" (p. 18).
The ONE is equipped with Bluetooth® Audio function.
Thanks to this technology, you'll be able to stream music wirelessly from a
Bluetooth® capable smartphone, tablet or computer to the ONE.
See "Wireless Function" (p. 40).

The crescendo setting is now saved in a le named "crescendo.csv" in the root
directory of the USB Memory.
NOTE
When you save a crescendo setting, it will overwrite any crescendo
setting already stored into USB memory.

Troubleshooting
This is normal and due to the Auto Power O function. If necessary, set the parameter of the Auto
Power O function.
If you don’t need the power to turn o automatically, turn the “AUTO OFF” setting “Disable".
Is the AC adaptor/power cord correctly connected to an AC outlet and to the ONE?16
Could you have turned the power on again immediately after turning the power o?
Allow an interval of at least ve seconds before turning the power on again.
Did you switch the ONE on?19
Could the [VOLUME] knob be turned down? Select a higher setting.-

Are you using a connection cable that contains a resistor?
Use a connection cable that doesn’t contain a resistor.
Could you be using a connection cable that contains a built-in resistor? Use a connection cable that
does not contain a resistor.
Could the AUDIO IN Level be down? Select a higher setting.44

appear in the Bluetooth device list of your mobile

The volume level for the keyboard performance is set too low. Adjust the volume balance to increase
the keyboard volume via the Song Control Menu.
Is the “Tuning” or "Temperament" setting appropriate? Check the parameters.28

Is the external amplier or other device used with the ONE connected to a dierent AC power outlet?
Connect the amplier or other device to the same AC outlet as the ONE.
The noise may be due to interference caused by the use of a mobile phone in close proximity to the
instrument.
Turn o the mobile phone, or use it further away from the instrument.
Check the format of your USB Memory. The ONE can use USB Memory that has been formatted as FAT.
If your USB Memory was formatted using any other method, please re-format it as MS-DOS FAT.
Could the USB Memory be write protected?-
Is there sucient free space on the USB Memory?-
The le type of the song is not one of the le types that the ONE can play.35
It may be that the song data is damaged.-
