for the

SB-H-RIDGLNE/10W3v3

2006 - Up Honda Ridgeline

Thank you for choosing a JL Audio Stealthbox® for your automotive sound system.

With proper installation, your new vehicle-specific enclosed subwoofer system

will deliver years of listening pleasure.

We strongly recommend that you have your new Stealthbox

®

installed by your authorized

JL Audio dealer. The installation professionals employed by your dealer have the necessary

tools and experience to disassemble and reassemble your vehicle properly. Also, keep in

mind that your warranty coverage extends to 2 year if your system is installed or approved

by your authorized JL Audio dealer. If you prefer to perform your own installation,

please read this installation guide completely before beginning the process.

If you choose to per form the installation yourself, it is absolutely vit al that
the Stealthbox

®

be properly m ounted to the vehicle according to these

instructions. Failure to mount the enclosure properly presents two prob lems:

1) The sub-bass performance will suf fer due to the movement of the enclosure
caused by the force exerted by the woofer(s).

2) A loose enclosure presents a seriou s safety hazard in the event of a collision
or sudden deceleration.

STEP 1

Remove any contents from rear seating area. Flip and lock
the rear seating in the up position.

STEP 2

Place the supplied wax square into place.
16-1/2" from the door sill and 4-3/4" from the bulk head, as in
the picture.

STEP 3

Thread in the supplied socket cup set screw into the
threaded insert, located on the bottom side of the
Stealthbox®. Leaving 1/4" exposed .

You have completed the installation for this model!

Please refer to the Power Recommendation sec tion for an
amplifier recommendation and basic set-up help.

STEP 6

From under the vehicle, place the supplied fender washer,
flat washer, lock washer and then hex nut onto the protrud­ing socket cup set screw. Secure tightly with a 14mm socket,
long extension and rachet.

Note: For added protection it is recommended that
you apply a bea d of silicone between the ve hicle and
the fender was her. After th e bolt assembly is tightly
secured, it is also recommended that vehicle under­coating material i s applied to the exposed asse mbly.

STEP 5
(A) Loosen the socket cup set screw to exp ose 1-1/2-inch.

Place the enclosure into place, carfully guiding the socket
cup set screw through the drilled hole. .

(B) Run speaker wire from the amplifier location to the
Stealthbox® and attach to the terminal

Double check the woofer for proper operation.

STEP 4
A Posistion the Stealthbox® into place and press fir mly

down. This is to make an impression onto the wax square.
Remove the Stealthbox®.

B With a 1/2" drill bit or StepBit/Unibit® and drill. Drill at the
impression on the wax square, through the metal flo or to the
outside.

(C) Remove the wax sqaure.
