Thank you for choosing a JL Audio Stealthbox® for your automotive sound system.
With proper installation, your new vehicle-specific enclosed subwoofer system
will deliver years of listening pleasure.
We strongly recommend that you have your new Stealthbox® installed by your authorized
JL Audio dealer. The installation professionals employed by your dealer have the necessary tools
and experience to disassemble and reassemble your vehicle properly. If you prefer to perform your
own installation, please read this installation guide completely before beginning the process.
If you choose to per form the installation yoursel f, it is abso lutely vital that
the Stealthbox® be properly mo unted to the vehicle according to these
instructions . Failure to mount the enclosure prop erly presents two problems:
1) The sub-bass per formance will suffer due to the movem ent of the enclosure
caused by the force exe rted by the woofer(s).
2) A loose enclosure presents a serious safety haza rd in the event of a collision
or sudden deceleration.

POWER RECOMMENDATION
JL Audio recommends hi gh quality ampliers such as the J L Audio XD300/1v2. The dia gram below shows the recommende d crossover settings for the XD300/1v2. For a detailed d escription of the amplier set tings,
consult the owner’s manua l for the amplier. If another amplier is b eing used, please reference this il lustration and use similar setti ngs on that amplier.
CONNECTIONS
Using quality powe r, signal, a nd speaker wire is essential in ensuring th e performance of your Stealthbox ®. JL Audio re commends using a 4 AWG power kit such as the XD -PCS4-1B for your Stealthbox® amplier. Other k its
are available should yo u be using more than one amplier. Signal wire s uch as the JL Audio Premium Audio Interconnec t Cables should be used to provi de signal for both channels of the ampli er. JL Audio
recommends using 12AWG speaker wire for su bwoofers.

STEP 4
Carefully unclip and remove the trunk sill panel.
STEP 8
Remove the two nuts that hold the computer bracket to the
fender well, and remove the bracket .
STEP 3
Unscrew each of the lower net but tons. Remove the trunk
floor panel.
STEP 7
Unclip the computer from the bracket located on the fender
well.
STEP 2
Unclip the covers around each of the upper tie-down ho oks.
STEP 6
Pull the trunk liner away from the trunk wall.
STEP 1
Empty out the trunk of the vehicle.
Disconnect the negative battery p ost connection.
STEP 5
On the driver’s side of the trunk, unscrew the upper net
button. Remove each of the clips that hold the trunk liner
in place.
