This Stealthbox® is a product which
requires professional installation skills and
tools.
Please read this installation guide thor­oughly before beginning the project. It
will guide you step by step through the
installation.Several of the steps in this
process may require two people to
accomplish.

It is absolutely vital that the enclosure
be properly mounted to the vehicle
according to these instructions. Failure
to mount the enclosure properly pres­ents two problems: 1) The sub-bass
performance will suffer due to the
movement of the enclosure caused by
the force exerted by the woofer(s) and

2) A loose enclosure presents a serious
safety hazard in the event of a collision
or sudden deceleration.

STEP 1:

Remove all contents from rear hatch

area.

STEP 2:

Flip open the driver’s side cargo

compar tment door.

STEP 3:

With aid of a flat blade, pop the
door off the hinges.Carful, these are plastic
pieces.

STEP 4:

Place the supplied Socket Cup Set
Screw into the bottom of the Stealthbox®.
Leaving about an 1/2”exposed. Make sure
that the cup side is on the outside of the
enclosure.

STEP 5:

(a)Remove the paper backing off the

supplied wax square.
(b)From inside the right side cargo compart-

ment,place the middle of the wax square 3”
from the front wall and 4-3/4”from the right
side wall.

(c)Place the Stealthbox® into place. Press firm­ly down onto the enclosure. This is too make
an impression of the Socket Cup Set Screw
onto the wax square. Remove the Stealthbox.

If there is no impression on the wax square,
remove the enclosure, back out the Socket
Cup Set Screw and repeat STEP5:(c).

STEP 6: *CAUTION*

Before drilling, make sure that you are not going
to be drilling into any gas lines, br ake lines, trans­mission lines, electrical wir ing, or anything else that
might cause a reduction in your weekly pay.
Always wear eye protection when drilling.

With the use of a 1/2” drill bit and dr ill. Drill out
the floor at the impression on the wax square.

JLAudio recommends using a high quality amplifier such as the JLAudio 250/1. The diagr am below shows the recommended
crossover, infrasonic filter and equalizer settings for the 250/1 when being used to power your Stealthbox®.

1) 3/8-16 x 2-1/4” Socket Cup Set Screw

1) Mounting Support Plate

1) 3/8” x 1-1/4” Fender Washer

1) 3/8” Flat Washer

1) 3/8” Lock Washer

1) 3/8”-16 Hex Nut

The JLAudio 250/1 is a very versatile audio component. Please consult the owner’s manual for detailed information
about installing and tuning this amplifier.

STEP 7: (a)Run speaker wire form the amplifier’s
location to the Stealthbox’s® terminal and connect.

(b)Back out the Socket Cup Set Screw to expose
1-1/2”. Place the Stealthbox® into place and guide
the Socket Cup Set Screw through the drilled hole
from STEP 6.

STEP 8: Once the Stealthbox® is in place, from
the under side of the car. Place the supplied mount­ing suppor t plate , fender washer, flat washer,lock
washer and hex nut onto the exposed Socket Cup
Set Screw.

STEP 9: Thigthen the bolt assembly, do not over
torque.
