Description
Specifications
Daptor One is a simple interface that converts the 2.5mm headset jack on your wireless cellular phone to a modular phone line jack. This modular RJ-11 jack then connects directly to any JK Audio RemoteMix series mixer. You will continue to use your wireless phone to dial or answer the call, but you will use the microphone and headphones plugged into your RemoteMix during the call.
Daptor One does not require any batteries or power supply. It contains a mini hybrid circuit that converts the earpiece and microphone signals into a balanced RJ11 phone line signal. The mic signals from the RemoteMix are sent into the wireless phone, while the earpiece signals from the wireless phone are sent into the RemoteMix Headphones. The hybrid circuit minimizes crosstalk between transmit and receive which would create unwanted echo on both the RemoteMix and far side of the call.

FAQ’s
Connection
? Will Daptor One work with my model
_______ cell phone?
! As long as your wireless phone has a 2.5
mm earpiece jack and accepts a generic 3rd party earpiece or headset, you should be OK.
? Can I use the Daptor One with my mo-
dem?
! No. Daptor One was designed for JK Au-
dio RemoteMix series mixers only. It does not provide the necessary talk battery or ring voltage required by modems, fax machines or other manufacturers remote mixers.
Connect the enclosed modular phone line cord between the Phone Line jack of your RemoteMix and the phone line jack on Daptor One. Then connect the enclosed audio adapter cord between Daptor one and your wireless phone headset jack. On your RemoteMix unit, switch on the power and then switch the Phone Line switch to "Dial / Talk". You may now place or receive a call using the buttons on your wireless phone.
Note: Wireless phones generate substantial radio frequency (RF) noise during a call which can easily leak into microphone cables, headphone cables, even the RemoteMix housing. Be sure to keep the wireless phone one to two feet from the RemoteMix unit. It is also important to keep the wireless adapter cord away from any other audio cords.

Connection
Compatibility
Daptor One will provide the highest quality connection possible between your RemoteMix unit and cellular telephone. However, due to the unpredictable nature of wireless telephone service we cannot guaranty excellent audio quality every time Daptor One is used. Audio quality is still mostly dependent upon the connection provided by your wireless telephone service. You should keep in mind that your wireless telephone also has level control. If you are having level problems that cannot be corrected with the controls on the RemoteMix unit, try adjusting the level on the wireless telephone itself.
Daptor One will work with the following JK Audio products:
RemoteMix C+ RemoteMix 3 RemoteMix 3.m RemoteMix Sport RemoteMix 3x4 innkeeper 1 and 1x Digital Hybrids

This product was designed to take advantage of the increasing number of wireless phones that accept third party headsets and earpiece headsets. We've designed a circuit which emulates the electrical characteristics of these headsets. Daptor One should work with all wireless phones that accept generic third party headsets. While some wireless phones have the 2.5 mm jack directly on the phone, others require a headset adapter which converts their proprietary connector into the
2.5mm jack. JK Audio does not supply these adapters. You must contact your wireless dealer or try your local electronics store.
Other product Compatibility:
Before you get any ideas, Daptor One does not supply the necessary ring voltage or talk battery which may be required by modems or other manufacturers' remote consoles. This product is approved for use with JK Audio RemoteMix series mixers and Digital Hybrids only.
