TROUBLESHOOTING
I followed the specified consequence of actions but my car did not start. Why?
When the attempt to start fails, wait for 60 seconds and then try again.
Was “JIC” device switched on before engine starting?
Remember that “JIC” device is fitted with an automatic shutdown function. If within 30 seconds
after activating you do not attempt to start-up engine, then it will be automatically switched off.
Does the quality of connections meet the requirements?
Bad contact between clamps and terminals can prevent from successful engine starting. Dis-
connect connector from “JIC” device and then adjust clamps to provide the best electrical
connection from both sides of each clamp. Connect the connector to “JIC” device over again
and try starting engine one more time.
Was the transmission control lever of a car moved into “PARKING” position?
If the transmission control lever of a car is not moved in the “PARKING” position it can pre-
vent from engine start-up.
Is the “JIC” device charge sufficient?
If the “JIC” device charge is insufficient one, you should charge it using charging unit or via
car adaptor.
Are the accumulator terminals contaminated?
Quality of electrical contact can be deteriorated due to availability of coating on the accumulator
terminals. Disconnect cables out coming from the accumulator and clean the coating on terminals using a wire scratcher or a dry duster.
When connecting clamps to the accumulator and further connecting of a connector to the “JIC”
device you should check condition of indicators on the connector.
IF RED INDICATOR LIGHTS: connection of clamps to terminals is confused. Read the Guideline
for Quick Start one more time and perform described actions one more time. DO NOT PRESS
“BOOST” BUTTON (START)!
IF GREEN INDICATOR LIGHTS: accumulator is quite serviceable. DO NOT PRESS “BOOST”
BUTTON (START)! See the next step.
IF GREEN INDICATOR FLASHES: accumulator is discharged and cannot be used. Press “BOOST”
BUTTON (START) to start the car engine.
IF NONE INDICATOR LIGHTS: low quality of electrical connection or accumulator is low. Check
all connections. If the indication does not appear anymore, press “BOOST” BUTTON (START).
The problem can be not connected with the accumulator.
In most cases, the reason for the engine non-starting is the accumulator but sometimes other
car assemblies can be defective. To determine the reason of failure you should find information
in the User’s Manual or visit the neighboring car service center.
“JIC” device is not activated.
Charge the device. “JIC” device is sufficiently charged as soon as charge indicators located at its
front panel stop flashing.
If “JIC” device after attempt to start engine is not activated, you should connect it to charging
device for several seconds to “recharge” it.
Connect “JIC” device to the charging devices operated from mains which is included in the
supply package.
If you are on your way then connect “JIC’ device to the car adaptor (via electric cigar lighter).
Even if your car accumulator is discharged it has enough power to reset “JIC” device.
