drive from motor mounted on floor, wall, or from a line floor at rear of the lathe, and was created to accommodate ing shop conditions.
These machines differ from other Blount Speed Lathes only in type of drive, and are available in all regular sizes with either plain or self-oiling bearing headstocks. A sturdy hanger bracket, firmly bolted to the rear of the lathe, supports the hinged counter shaft hanger which has self-oiling bearings with countershaft and drive pulley. A screw with ball crank handle at front, of
lathe adjusts the belt. Lathe has a four step head cone. Spindle is of high carbon steel bored throughout, accurately ground to bearing and cone fils and provided with Morse taper. The lail- slock is of solid construction, has hand screw with lever feed for operating spindle as a unit. Rest block has an eccentric cam
binding lever clamping the tool rest holder firmly in place. Bed is of heavy construction with V-ways and cross-braced, planed, milled, scraped and polished.
Regular attachments for other Blount Lathes
can be adapted to this lathe at any lime.
