Pedestal Chucking Lathe, just the machine for quick finishing of small parts requiring varied tol- erances. engine parts and the like.
Units like these require a minimum of floor space and many may be grouped together in the same space formerly occupied by larger machines.
Machines may be furnished with varied elec trical equipment. This a Cutler-Hammer solenoid brake for quick stopping which provides a minimum loss of time required loading and unloading parts. Lathe also equipped
with drum controller and No. 712 Allen-Bradley starter with overload and low voltage release to gether with separate disconnect switch in one cabinet and remote push button.

protect the operator while fin ishing the small parts held in
the chuck. Chuck guard covers the jaws of the chuck and in turn the adapter plates are pro
vided with openings to accom modate the various sizes of parts which arc lo be finished.

Motor used on machine of this type is totally enclosed. Various combinations of stand
ard speeds can be furnished de pending upon those speeds re quired for finishing different diameters of parts. Two speed
motors 600/1200, 900/1800
R.P.M. can be supplied. Also four speed motors 600-1200-1800-3600 R.P.M. Larger machines of this same general design can be furnished with two speed motors of 300/600 or 450/900 R.P.M. and also four speed motors of 300-450-600-900 R.P.M. as well.
