2.0 PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Thank you for choosing the Jetlun In Home Display (RD77723). The JIM In-Home Display
(IHD) from Jetlun communicates with Smart Meters that gives consumers unprecedented
insight into their energy usage and costs. It provides power utility providers a low-cost way to
send messages and alerts to customers on upcoming demand response events or on various
ways to save energy.
Empowering consumers with information, consumers can make conscious decisions on
when and how they can be more energy efficient and lowering their monthly energy bill.
Studies have shown that instantaneous feedback can reduce energy consumption by up to
20%. The JIM IHD provides a simple interface for consumer to easily view its current tariff
rate and opt in to participate in various energy efficiency programs offered by power utilities
to recognize further cost savings.
The JIM IHD features a color 3.5” color touch screen backlit display, a ZigBee® wireless
connectivity, and an option for WiFi. An extra USB expansion port is available to upgrade
the firmware. The JIM IHD can either be wall mounted or use the included stand for placing
on a counter top.

2.1 Package Contents
When you first open the box, please check and confirm that the following items are all
included:
• 1x IHD RD77723
• 1x Universal Power Supply
• 1x Quick Installation Guide
If any of the parts are incorrect, missing or damaged, contact the retailer where you
made your purchase. Keep the carton, including the original packaging materials in case
you need to return the unit for repair.

3.0 INSTALLING THE JETLUN IHD
Follow these quick steps to install your Jetlun IHD.
3.1 Connecting the IHD to Jetlun Gateway Pro
There are three ZigBee profile types in the jetlun products, HA, SE without SEECC and
SE with SEECC. The join process for each profile has some differents
3.1.1 Join to gateway pro with HA or SE without SEECC profile
1. Form your ZigBee network, go to gateway pro website Setup > Zigbee and follow the
steps below in the column A:

 STEP 1: Click the Leave button. This will disconnect any and all ZigBee devices that
were connected to the Gateway.
 STEP 2: Enter Channel ID, Power Level and Pan ID if you have more than one ZigBee
network. Otherwise, you can leave it in its Default setting.
NOTE: If you have more than one ZigBee Networks,
please ensure that each ZigBee network have a different
Channel ID and PAN ID.
Notes: The PAN ID must be 4 Hex characters. (From
0000 to FFFF.)
 STEP 3: Click the Form button.
2. To configure the ZigBee network join permissions, follow the steps under column B:
 STEP 1: Select the permission choice:

• The DENY option prohibits any ZigBee devices to join to the Gateway.
• The Join Any Time option allows any ZigBee devices to join to the Gateway
at any time.
• The Deny after XX seconds option allows you to configure the amount of
time you allow ZigBee devices to join to the Gateway. After XX seconds, no
ZigBee devices can join to the Gateway.
 STEP 2: Click the Execute button.
3. Enter the IHD LCD settings > Network> ZigBee tab, Click the join button in the LCD.
(The details operation refer to part 4.2.1.1 )
3.1.2 Join to gateway profile with the SE with SEECC
1. Form your ZigBee network, go to gateway pro website Setup > Zigbee and follow the
steps below in the column A:

 STEP 1: Click the <Leave> button, if there are devices in the Zigbee network, they
all leave the former network.
 STEP 2: Enter Channel ID, Power Level and Pan ID.
Notes: The PAN ID must be 4 Hex characters. (From 0000 to FFFF)
 STEP 3: Click the <Form> button. All Zigbee devices join the same network will
show up in the Home Area Network.
2. Create the Link key in column B:
 STEP 1: Input the device EUI and Install code.
Get the EUI and install code from the rating plate in the device.
 STEP 2: Click the Add (Edit) button
 STEP 3: The Link key will be shown in the link key table.
3. Configure the permission in column C:

 STEP 1: Select the permission choice:
Deny----------------Phobit zigbee devices join the network .
Join any time-----Allow zigbee devices join the network all the time
Deny after XX seconds-----Allow zigbee devices join the network within XX seconds.
(It recommends selecting this choice.)
 STEP 2: Click <Execute> button.
4. After the procedure from 1 to 3 the zigbee network is formed. You can join the IHD to
the zigbee network.
 STEP 1: Enter the IHD LCD tab settings > Network> ZigBee tab, Click the join button in
the LCD. (The details operation refer to part 4.2.1.1)
3.2 Connecting to the Smart Meter
The ZigBee profile for smart meter is SEECC, Please refer part 3.1.2
NOTE: The operation interface may be different with it in
the jetlun gateway pro, But the main operation process is
almost the same.

4.0 CONFIGURING THE IHD
4.1 IHD LCD Navigation Guide
The user interface is divided into six main categories:
• Home. The Home tab provides an overview of your Jetlun In Home Display for the
current day.
• Graph. The Graph tab provides a detailed view of your IHD by device and provides
an expanded view of your historical energy usage information.
• Control. No function for this firmware.
• Stat. No function for this firmware
• Message. The message tab provides a detailed view of your IHD receives Message
events, DRLC events and Price events.
• Setting. The Settings tab allows you to join ZigBee and WIFI network, configure
background LED status, change the performances and upgrade the firmware.
At the top of each screen is a time link to configure the time zone, date and time, a
ZigBee icon to indicate join/leave zigbee network, a WIFI icon to indicate join/leave WIFI
network, a message icon to display the quantity of your unread messages and a power
type icon to display the power type.

4.2 Configuration and Maintenance
4.2.1 Setttings
4.2.1.1 Network
The Settings > Network screen allows you to join the ZigBee network and
WIFI network.

To join your zigbee network:
 STEP 1: Select the Network Type “ZigBee” in the LCD
 STEP 2: Click the Join button to search and join the zigbee network.
When it joined the zigbee network, the join button name is changed to
leave and the Zigbee status is changed to Online.

To join your WIFI network:
 STEP 1: Select the Network Type “WIFI” in the LCD to enter the WIFI
setting tab

 STEP 2: Select the WIFI type “Internal” or “External”, Click the install
button. Then follow the on-screen instructions
This function is not available in current firmware.
4.2.1.2 Display
The Settings > Display screen allows you to configure brightness of
background LED and the time to turn off the background LED.

To configure brightness of Background LED
 STEP 1: Slide the switch to right place and its brightness become
stronger. The brightness will become strongest (100%) when the switch is
in the extreme right position.
 STEP 2: Slide the switch to left place and its brightness become
weaker. The brightness will become weakest when the switch is in the
extreme left position.
To configure the auto turn off background LED:
 STEP 1: Check box of the automatically dim screen after in the LCD,
auto turn off background LED function is enable. Then background LED
will automatically turn off after your selected time in the list table.
 STEP 2: Do not check box, and the auto turn off background LED
function is disable.

The Settings > Performance screen configure the Language, temperature
unit, currency and measure unit for IHD.

in the current firmware.
4.2.1.4 Upgrade
The Settings > upgrade screen allows you to upgrade the IHD firmware.
Do not upgrade the firmware unless you are experiencing problems with
the IHD or the new firmware has a feature you want to use.

To upgrade IHD’s firmware, follow these steps:
 STEP 1: Download the IHD’s firmware upgrade file from
JetlunTechnical Support by emailing support@jetlun.com
.
 STEP 2: Copy the firmware to USB disk and insert it to IHD
 STEP 3: Enter the IHD LCD Settings > Upgrade tab, Input the name of
the firmware in the field
 STEP 4: Click the Upgrade button, IHD starts to upgrade firmware.
Then follow the on-screen instructions
4.2.1.5 Time Settings
Time Settings tab configures the time zone, date and time for in home
display.
To configure the time, you should just double click Time in the top center

The Message > Message screen displays all the Message Events from
smart meter.

The Home screen displays a summary of your IHD’s status. It displays Date and
Time, wattage, month energy usage, current day energy usage and price
information.
It also shows the DRLC level or Price tier when it receives the DRLC event or
Price event.

Wattage shows the wattage for panel meters.
It shows the wattage for circuit meter when no panel
meter in the network.
It shows the wattage for appliance modules when no

4.2.4 Graph
4.2.4.1 Overview
The Graph > Overview screen displays an historical overview of your energy
usage trends from the date the IHD was installed.

Energy Usage Overview in the form of bar graph column. You can view your
usage by month, by week, by day or even by hour in graph column.
You can also view your energy usage in terms of kWh, Cost, and even calculated
equivalents for Carbon Dioxide emissions.
You can view your energy usage by all devices, smart meter, panel meter, and
circuit meter and appliance module. Only the choice “all devices” can be viewed
all the time, other device types can only be viewed when these type devices join
the zigbee network.
4.2.4.2 Type
The Graph > Type screen displays energy percentage overview for the devices.
This function is not available in the current firmware.

DEFECTS IN THE SOFTWARE WILL BE CORRECTED. NO ORAL OR WRITTEN
REPRESENTATIONS MADE BY MOTOROLA OR AN AGENT THEREOF SHALL
CREATE A WARRANTY OR IN ANY WAY INCREASE THE SCOPE OF THIS
WARRANTY. JETLUN DOES NOT WARRANT ANY SOFTWARE THAT HAS BEEN
OPERATED IN EXCESS OF SPECIFICATIONS, DAMAGED, MISUSED, NEGLECTED,
OR IMPROPERLY INSTALLED. BECAUSE SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW
THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES, THE ABOVE
LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
Limitation of Remedies and Damages. Regardless of whether any remedy set forth
herein fails of its essential purpose, IN NO EVENT SHALL JETLUN OR ANY OF THE
LICENSORS, DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES OR AFFILIATES OF THE
FOREGOING BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL,
INDIRECT, SPECIAL OR SIMILAR DAMAGES WHATSOEVER (including, without
limitation, damages for loss of business profits, business interruption, loss of business
information and the like), whether foreseeable or unforeseeable, arising out of the use or
inability to use the Software or accompanying written materials, regardless of the basis
of the claim and even if Motorola or a Motorola representative has been advised of the
possibility of such damage. Motorola's liability to you for direct damages for any cause
whatsoever, regardless of the basis of the form of the action, will be limited to the price
paid for the Software that caused the damages. THIS LIMITATION WILL NOT APPLY IN
CASE OF PERSONAL INJURY ONLY WHERE AND TO THE EXTENT THAT

DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF LIABILITY FOR
CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, THE ABOVE LIMITATION MAY NOT
APPLY TO YOU.
Maintenance and Support. Jetlun shall not be responsible for maintenance or support
of the software. By accepting the license granted under this agreement, you agree that
Jetlun will be under no obligation to provide any support, maintenance or service in
connection with the Software or any application developed by you. Any maintenance and
support of the Related Product will be provided under the terms of the agreement for the
Related Product.
Transfer. In the case of software designed to operate on Jetlun equipment, you may not
transfer the Software to another party except: (1) if you are an end-user, when you are
transferring the Software together with the Jetlun equipment on which it operates; or 2) if
you are a Jetlun licensed distributor, when you are transferring the Software either
together with such Jetlun equipment or are transferring the Software as a licensed duly
paid for upgrade, update, patch, new release, enhancement or replacement of a prior
version of the Software. If you are a Jetlun licensed distributor, when you are transferring
the Software as permitted herein, you agree to transfer the Software with a license
agreement having terms and conditions no less restrictive than those contained herein.
You may transfer all other Software, not otherwise having an agreed restriction on
transfer, to another party. However, all such transfers of Software are strictly subject to
the conditions precedent that the other party agrees to accept the terms and conditions
of this License, and you destroy any copy of the Software you do not transfer to that
party. You may not sublicense or otherwise transfer, rent or lease the Software without
our written consent. You may not transfer the Software in violation of any laws,
regulations, export controls or economic sanctions imposed by the US Government.
Right to Audit. Jetlun shall have the right to audit annually, upon reasonable advance
notice and during normal business hours, your records and accounts to determine
compliance with the terms of this Agreement.
Export Controls. You specifically acknowledge that the software may be subject to
United States and other country export control laws. You shall comply strictly with all
requirements of all applicable export control laws and regulations with respect to all such
software and materials.
US Government Users. If you are a US Government user, then the Software is
provided with "RESTRICTED RIGHTS" as set forth in subparagraphs (c)(1) and (2) of
the Commercial Computer Software-Restricted Rights clause at FAR 52 227-19 or
subparagraph (c)(1)(ii) of the Rights in Technical Data and Computer Software clause at
DFARS 252.227-7013, as applicable.
Disputes. You and Jetlun hereby agree that any dispute, controversy or claim, except
for any dispute, controversy or claim involving intellectual property, prior to initiation of
any formal legal process, will be submitted for non-binding mediation, prior to initiation of
any formal legal process. Cost of mediation will be shared equally. Nothing in this
Section will prevent either party from resorting to judicial proceedings, if (i) good faith
efforts to resolve the dispute under these procedures have been unsuccessful, (ii) the
dispute, claim or controversy involves intellectual property, or (iii) interim relief from a

court is necessary to prevent serious and irreparable injury to that party or to others.
General. California law governs this license. The terms of this license are supplemental
to any written agreement executed by both parties regarding this subject and the
Software Jetlun is to license you under it, and supersedes all previous oral or written
communications between us regarding the subject except for such executed agreement.
It may not be modified or waived except in writing and signed by an officer or other
authorized representative of each party. If any provision is held invalid, all other
provisions shall remain valid, unless such invalidity would frustrate the purpose of our
agreement. The failure of either party to enforce any rights granted hereunder or to take
action against the other party in the event of any breach hereunder shall not be deemed
a waiver by that party as to subsequent enforcement of rights or subsequent action in
the event of future breaches.
5.4.2 Hardware Warranty in U.S.
Jetlun offers a warranty covering a period of one year from the date of purchase by the
customer. If a product is found defective during the warranty period, Jetlun will repair or
replace the product with the same or a similar model, which may be a reconditioned unit,
without charge for parts or labor.
5.4.3 Limit of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL JETLUN BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY OTHER PARTY FOR
ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, GENERAL, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL,
EXEMPLARY OR OTHER DAMAGE ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO
USE THE PRODUCT (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOSS
OF BUSINESS PROFITS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, LOSS OF BUSINESS
INFORMATION OR ANY OTHER PECUNIARY LOSS, OR FROM ANY BREACH OF
WARRANTY, EVEN IF JETLUN HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF
SUCH DAMAGES. (Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or
consequential damages, so the above exclusion or limitation may not apply to you.) IN
NO CASE SHALL JETLUN’S LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE
PRODUCT.
