manual before attempting assembly or
operation.
2. Read and understand the warnings posted on
the tool and in this manual. Failure to comply
with all of these warnings may cause serious
injury.
3. Replace warning labels if they become
obscured or removed.
4. This web strap hoist is designed and intended
for use by properly trained and experienced
personnel only. If you are not familiar with the
proper and safe operation of a web strap hoist,
do not use it until the proper training and
knowledge have been obtained.
5. Do not use this hoist for other than its intended
use. If used for other purposes, JET disclaims
any real or implied warranty and holds itself
harmless from any injury that may result from
that use.
6. Do not wear jewelry or loose clothing that can
become entangled in the hoist mechanisms.
Confine long hair.
7. Keep hands and fingers away from ratchet area
during operation.

around, carrying on a conversation and "horseplay" are careless acts that can result in serious
injury.
9. Keep visitors a safe distance from the work
area. Keep children away.
10. Always inspect the hoist for damage prior to
use. If hoist is damaged, do not use until it has
been repaired or replaced.
11. Always maintain your balance and firm footing
when operating the hoist.
12. Always take time to study the job to be
performed and choose the safest method. Do
not place yourself or other people in an unsafe
position.
13. Do not operate this tool while under the
influence of drugs, alcohol or any medication.
14. Do not pull web strap over sharp edges.

16. Do not exceed rated load capacity for the hoist.
17. Do not use hoist as a load binder or a tow line.
18. Do not use an extension on the handle in an
attempt to increase leverage.
19. Make sure one full wrap of webbing remains on
drum prior to applying load.
20. Do not operate hoist until hoist frame, web strap
and hooks are in a straight line with load
direction. Do not side load.
21. Load must be properly seated in hook and
safety latch closed before operating. The latch
should never be used to support a load.
22. Do not attempt to free-wheel strap with a load
on the hoist.
23. Do not wrap web strap around load or use as a

before placing hoist back in service.
27. Be sure supporting structures and loadattaching devices used in conjunction with this
hoist provide an adequate safety factor to
handle the rated load plus the weight of the
equipment. If in doubt, consult a qualified
structural engineer.
28. Do not leave a loaded hoist unattended unless
proper precautions have been put in place.
29. Do not modify or attempt repair on the hoist.
Contact an authorized JET service center for
