Routing Safety Precautions
Alwaysmakesurethefenceonyourrouter table is locked firmly into
position before each use.
Neverforce the bit or overloadthe routerbeyondtheexpectationsofthetool.
Besurethatatleast3/4 oftheshanklength isinserted securely in the router
collet.
Neverbottomoutthebitinthecollet.Allow 1/8” clearance between bottom of
sankand bottom of collet.
Always rout in two ormorepasseswhenlargeamounts of stock must be
removed.
Use reducedRPM speeds for larger diameter router bits.

Whentighteningthefence trackmountingbolton

Placethe fence on the tabletop in its upright
positionandallowittohangoverthetable
edgeandlieacrossthefrontendofthefence
track.Raisethe fencetrackassemblyso that
itis positionedflush tothebottom ofthefence
asit rests onthetabletop.Witha 10mm
wrenchorsockettightenthefrontboltof the
fence assembly (Fig. 7).

Slide the¾” hexT-nutfortheextension
knob intotheT-slot next to the scales on
the fence track (Fig. 8).The extension
knobswill threadintothesenutstoholdthe
fence inposition. To doso, position theend
ofthefenceoverthetrack andlookdirectly
downthrough the open slot in the base of
the fenceframe andvisuallylineup thehole
inthe rectangular T-nut.

extensionknobthrough the slot fenceand
