NOTE: Datum Point is the head bolt hole directly behind cylinder
#3 & 5 exhaust valves. Machine mounting surface for rocker stand parallel with deck surface.
1) MEASURE VALVE TIP TO SPRING SEAT DIMENSION
(DIM A) AND REFER TO CHART BELOW FOR X & Y COORDINATES.
2) MILL EXISTING ROCKER PEDISTALS TO THE
APPROPRIATE HEIGHT (DIM B). THE ZERO POINT FOR
Z+
DIMENSION B IS THE BOTTOM OF THE HEAD BOLT COUNTERBORE.
3) SET THE X & Y ZERO TO THE CENTER OF THE
HEAD BOLT REFERENCED ABOVE. DETERMINE THE Y+ DIMENSION FROM CHART BELOW (DIM C).
4) DRILL AND TAP FOR 7/16-14 x 1.000” STAND MOUNTING
BOLTS TO DIMENSIONS SHOWN ABOVE. IT IS NORMAL TO BREAK INTO THE INTAKE RUNNERS. USE APPROPRIATE THREAD SEALANT ON BOLTS BEFORE FINAL INSTALLATION OF ROCKER STAND.
