Very effe ctive cleani ng method. It leaves a s mall layer of solder on the t ip to prevent oxidation bet ween clean ing and rewetti ng.
It prevents spla shing of solder par ticles when using the b rass wool.
No need to hold th e base while cle aning tips.
The least har mful cleani ng method. Keep the sp onge damp with distill ed water when work ing to avoid tip wear.
A temperature resistant rece ptacle lets the operator re move excess solde r by gentle tapp ing or wiping. It can b e easily removed for cleaning.
Tapping: Wiping:
Tap gently to remove excess solde r.

Operation
The JBC Exclusive Heating System
Our revolutio nary techn ology is able to re cover tip temper ature extremely quickly. It mean s the user can work at a lower temperature an d improve the quali ty of soldering. The tip tempe rature is further reduced tha nks to the Sleep an d Hibernatio n modes which increase the tip life by 5.
1. Work 2. Sleep
When the tool is lifted fro m the stand the tip will heat up to the selected tem perature.
When the tool is i n the stand, the temperatu re reduces to 180ºC / 360º F (preset sl eep temperature).
After long er periods of inactivit y (pre-set to 30 mi n.), the power is cut a nd the tool cools down to ro om temperature.
· Change tempe rature (from 90 to 450º C)
· Select temp erature levels
· Fix one tempe rature
· Change Sle ep temperatur e
· Set Sleep de lay (from 0 to 9 min or no Sleep)
· Set Hibern ation delay (from 0 to 60 min or no hibernati on)

- Clean the station screen wi th a glass clea ner or a damp cloth.
- Use a damp cloth to cl ean the casin g, the stand and the tool. Alc ohol can only b e used for clea ning the metal par ts.
- Periodica lly check that the metal par ts of the tool and stand are c lean so that the st ation can detect when the tool is i n the stand.
- Maintain tip s urface cl ean and tinne d prior to storage in orde r to avoid tip oxidation. Ru sty and dirty surfaces re duce heat tran sfer to the solder joint.
- Periodica lly check al l cable conne ctions.
