You have purchased a BT Control Unit.
In order to complete the soldering station you need the handpiece T245 or
handpiece T210 and corresponding cartridges.

We appreciate the trust you have placed in JBC in purchasing this station.
It is manufactured to the strictest quality standards in order to give you the
best possible service. Before turning on your station, we recommend you
read these instructions carefully.

INTRODUCING JBC TECHNOLOGY

The exclusive JBC heating system achieves an
exceptional thermal recovery, which increases
productivity, quality, reduces cost of ownership and
ensures fast return on investment.

Unequalled thermal response

An excellent soldering tool features instant thermal
response conceived by a high power/mass ratio.
A high power/mass ratio is being used to maintain
the tip’s temperature as close as possible to the one
selected on the control unit, even when the thermal
load is significant. This is the formula needed to
perform high quality solderjoints and avoid cold
ones, protect the PCB that is being soldered and
increase productivity.

INTELLIGENT HEAT MANAGEMENT

The only time that a soldering tool should be at
working temperature is when it is actually being
used. JBC stations identify if and how a tool is being
used and depending on this switches the tool to
one of the following modes with their respective
temperatures:

Work mode: selected working temperature i.e.
350°C.
Sleep mode: during short periods of inactivity
the tool’s temperature is being lowered to an
intermediate temperature i.e. 220°C.

JBC Tools save money by managing Heat
efficiently saving energy, time and improving
processes.

Technical specifications

- Temperature selection from 100 to 400°C or 200
to 750ºF (±5%).

- Power: 75W.

- Safety transformer, mains separator and double
isolation, with integrated temperature protection fuse.

The LEDs indicate the station’s different working
modes.

- Complies with CE standards on electrical safety,
electromagnetic compatibility and antistatic
protection.

- Equipotential connector and the tool tip are
connected to station mains ground supply for
ESD protection.

2. Tool out of the support: The green light IN USE

is permanently lit, indicating that the soldering iron
tip is at working temperature.

3. Tool in the support (sleep mode): The yellow

light SLEEP is permanently lit.
So that a tool goes into sleep mode, apart from

being placed in its support, the programmed sleep
temperature needs to be less than the temperature
on the dial or the prefixed temperature.

4. Station with previously fixed temperature.
(Only for users of the AC-A console).
Soldering iron out of support:

- If the dial is above the prefixed temperature, the
green light IN USE is lit the majority of the time,
switching off briefly at regular intervals.

- If the dial is below the prefixed temperature, the
green light IN USE is not lit the majority of the time,
lighting up briefly at regular intervals.

- If the dial is at the prefixed temperature, the green
light is permanently lit.

5. Temperature tool increase at the top end of the
scale. (Only for users of the AC-A console).

The console allows us to increase in a maximum
of 50ºC or 100º F the temperature of the tool when

the dial is placed at the top end of the scale and it
is shown with a quick flash of the led IN USE.

ERRORS

When the handpiece or the cartridge is in an open
circuit, the green light IN USE flashes with the
sequence .

When the handpiece or the cartridge is in a short
circuit, the green light IN USE flashes with the
sequence .

If any of the above mentioned causes is corrected,
the station will start working automatically.

JBC reserves the right to make technical changes without prior
notification.

AC-A console

The original regulation program parameters of
control unit can be modified using the AC 2600
console.

In order to connect an AC-A console to an BT, a
version 6.0 or above will be necessary.

Any lower version won’t allow you to fix temperatures
above 370ºC (700ºF) and the sleep temperature will
be an 8% higher than the selected one.

Changes avalaible to perform:

- Fixing the the working temperature.

- Selection of temperature units in Celsius grades

-°C- or Fahrenheit -°F-.

- Modification of sleep temperatures and standby

times.

- Adjustment of temperature.

- Set the parameters back to the original

parameters.

- Read-out data:

Working hours.
Sleep cycles and sleep hours.
Cartridge and iron changes.
Program version.

When there is has been an excess of power supplied,
for example with very thick and repetitive solders,
the green and yellow lights will flash simultaneously.
To correct this error, the station should be turned off
to avoid overheating. When the temperature lowers,
turn the station on again.

INTRODUCCIÓN A LA TECNOLOGIA JBC

El exclusivo sistema de calentamiento de JBC
consigue una excepcional recuperación de la
temperatura, que aumenta la productividad, calidad,
y reduce el coste de propiedad proporcionando una
rápida recuperación de la inversión efectuada.

Respuesta térmica inigualable

Un soldador excelente con una respuesta térmica
concebida por un alto ratio de potencia/masa.
Un ratio de alta potencia/masa es utilizado para
mantener la temperatura de la punta tan próxima
a la seleccionada en la unidad de control, incluso
cuando la carga termal es importante. Esta es
la formula necesaria para llevar a cabo una alta
calidad de soldaduras, trabajar a temperaturas
máximas mas bajas y evitar soldaduras frías, con lo
cual se protegen los circuitos y componentes que se
están soldando, aumentando la productividad.

GESTION INTELIGENTE DEL CALOR

La única ocasión que el soldador debe estar a
temperatura de trabajo es cuando se está utilizando.
Las estaciones de JBC identifican como se está
utilizando la herramienta y dependiendo de eso
cambia la herramienta a uno de los siguientes
modos con sus respectivas temperaturas:
Modo de trabajo: Temperatura seleccionada es
350ºC.
Modo sleep: Durante periodos cortos de inactividad,
la temperatura de la herramienta baja a temperatura
intermedia, por ejemplo a 220ºC.

Con el sistema de gestión del calor y ahorro de
energía JBC proporciona también un ahorro de
tiempo y mejora de procesos.

FUNCIONAMIENTO

Luces de señalización

Luz verde (IN USE)

Luz amarilla
(SLEEP)

Dial

Las luces de señalización nos indican diferentes
estados del funcionamiento de la estación.

1. Estación sin la herramienta conectada: la luz

verde IN USE parpadea con la secuencia .

Datos técnicos

- Selección de la temperatura entre 100 y 400°C
o 200 y 750ºF (±5%).

- Potencia: 75W.

2. Herramienta fuera del soporte: la luz verde IN

USE está encendida contínuamente, indicando
que la punta del soldador está a la temperatura de
trabajo.

3. Herramienta en el soporte (modo "sleep"): la luz

amarilla SLEEP está encendida contínuamente.
Para que una herramienta entre en modo sleep,

además de estar colocada en el soporte, es
necesario que la temperatura programada de
sleep sea inferior a la temperatura del dial o a la
temperatura fijada.

Consola AC-A

Los parámetros originales del programa de
regulación de la estacion se pueden modificar con
la consola AC-A.

Si conecta una consola AC-A a una estación BT, es
necesario que la versión del programa de la consola
sea 6.0 o superior.

Cualquier versión menor que la 6.0 no permitirá fijar
temperaturas superiores a 370ºC y la temperatura
de sleep será un 8% mayor que la programada.

Permite:

- Fijar la temperatura.

- Selección de las unidades de temperatura en

grados Celsius -°C- o Fahrenheit -°F-.

- Cambiar la temperatura y el tiempo de sleep.

- Ajustar la temperatura.

- Cambiar los parámetros de la estación a los

preseleccionados en fábrica.

- Leer los contadores de:

Horas de trabajo.
Ciclos y horas de sleep.
Cambios de cartucho.
Versión del programa.

JBC se reserva el derecho de introducir modificaciones sin
previo aviso

Cuando exista un exceso de aporte de energía,
por ejemplo al hacer soldaduras muy gruesas
y repetidas, parpadearan simultáneamente
las luces verde y amarilla. Para corregir este
error, se debe apagar la estación para evitar su
sobrecalentamiento. Cuando haya descendido la
temperatura vuelva a encender la estación.

4. Estación con la temperatura fijada previamente.
(Sólo para usuarios de la cónsola AC-A).

Soldador fuera del soporte:

- Si el dial está por encima de la temperatura fijada,
la luz verde IN USE está encendida la mayor parte
del tiempo, apagándose brevemente a intervalos
iguales.

- Si el dial está por debajo de la temperatura fijada,
la luz verde IN USE está apagada la mayor parte
del tiempo, encendiéndose brevemente a intervalos
iguales.

- Si el dial marca la temperatura fijada, la luz verde
IN USE está encendida constantemente.

5. Incremento de la temperatura de la herramienta
a fondo de escala. (Sólo para usuarios de la

cónsola AC-A).
La consola permite aumentar en un máximo de

50ºC o 100ºF la temperatura de la herramienta
cuando el dial se posiciona al final de la escala y se
indica con un parpadeo rápido del led IN USE.

ERRORES

Cuando el lápiz o el cartucho están en circuito
abierto, la luz verde IN USE parpadea con la
secuencia .

Cuando el lápiz o el cartucho están en cortocircuito,
la luz verde IN USE parpadea con la secuencia

.
Si se corrige cualquiera de estas anomalías la estación

entrará en funcionamiento automáticamente.

vous recommandons de lire attentivement les instructions détaillées ci-après.

Pour que la Unité de contrôle BT que vous venez d'acheter soit complète, vous
devez choisir le fer et les cartouches en adéquation avec le travail à réaliser.
L'unité de contrôle fonctionne avec les crayons ainsi que les cartouches qui leur
correspondent.
